Truly an exceptional location run by an exceptional host. The whole stay proceeded smoothly. Laurence was there to meet us upon arrival. All facilities as promised. The photos do not do the property justice - rooms are larger and the grounds more expansive than they appear in the photos. This is a beautiful house. The main area of Bayeaux around the cathedral is a five minute drive away. The city was our base as we visited other places in Normandy, and access to nearby N, D and A roads was easy. There's a small Carrefour in town and a larger Intermarche on the outskirts, still only a few minutes drive away, for those like us who are self-catering - also very convenient because of the complete kitchen. Laurence would check in by messaging regularly (we stayed a week) to make sure everything was fine - such thoughtfulness truly appreciated.

The house was magnificent, super clean with all amenities. The scenery was amazing and so quiet. Laurence, the hostess was polite, super helpful, a real professional. The two lovely horses at the yard and the tennis court next to the house were a nice surprise. Everything was in order.

A lamp is needed at the backyard so to sit and relax when it’s dark. Apart of that nothing at all.

The location of the property is excellent. Close to the Normandy coast, the city of Bayeux and a plethora of supermarkets and stores. The property itself is secluded from the main street and provides ample privacy for lounging in the beautiful garden. The lovely garden is this property’s absolute selling point. It is a wonderful place to relax, read a book or enjoy each other’s company.

The hygiene standards in the kitchen and bathroom were definitely subpar. We found mouse droppings spread over several kitchen cabinets - absolutely unacceptable and points towards a lack of regular inspection/deep clean. Frankly, the general state of the property, including the cleanliness, made us wonder about the trustworthiness of prior glowing reviews. Several light switches and electrical sockets malfunctioned, with some of the switches falling back into the wall when touching them. The furniture was dated and not all that comfortable. This place has a ton of potential, it’s a true shame it is not well tended.
