Exquisite host and property.

Beautiful setting in the Normand countryside close to the sea and D Day landing sites. It offers easy access to Bayeux. The chateaux built in late 16th century was restored and offers a combination of old charm and modern facilities. The beautiful stone walls surrounding the property offers silence and a sense of peace. The presence of horses on site complètement this rustic setting. The appliances were modern and efficient.

The location was excellent with very easy access to Bayeux old town (car required) and it was a very quiet location, except for the squeaky floors which could be easily fixed! The decor was lovely with fine interior designs and very French!

A lovely villa with rustic charm in beautiful grounds

A beautiful setting less than ten minutes drive from Bayeux centre and the same to large supermarkets. The villa was a mix of rustic and old world charm. Comfortable beds and good facilities. We really enjoyed our stay

There was no full length mirror anywhere and the lighting was either too much or too little. The kitchen & bathroom could do with a facelift

Super stay and ideal location for family holiday

Super facilities for children. Fabulous grounds to wander around. Location excellent to explore surrounding areas eg D-Day landing beaches, Bayeux, Caen etc.. The host was lovely and available to contact if needed.

Character, space and peace. Perfect.

The space allowed our family enough privacy, but great social spaces inside and out. Huge grounds - lovely for children. Big dining room, huge bedrooms, clean, comfortable and perfectly well equipped. Will certainly stay again. We stayed in the deluxe side. There is a smaller apartment ajoined but it had no impact on our stay at all.

See - relax - enjoy and come again

wonderful farm castle with a small park, very quiet an relaxing. the apartment is well equipped, space for our family vacation plus border colly. kids can run and play in the park. sunrise breakfast at the terrace and sunset barbecue at the par side, wonderful. Bayeux and the next market is 5 min. closed, the beaches are reachable in 20 minutes. the owners are very friendly and helpful, all our stay was super perfect

Really lovely property and host.

Lovely chateau in traditional French style. Really enjoyed the peaceful location. The amenities were good and gardens well maintained. Also the property is secure with automatic gates on the driveway leading up to the property. There are 2 properties on site but the other one was unoccupied so we had the full run of the property. Also a nice walk down into Bayeux which is about one and half miles.

Upstairs toilet was little bit small but that is nitpicking

Magical experience and we were transported to an authentic rural French villa which is 100+ yrs old

Damien was waiting for us to arrive and handed over the keys along with the introduction to the Chateau. They also allowed us to check in earlier than the committed time to match the train timings. Gorgeous bedrooms, the natural surroundings and the horse, artistic decor and the artefacts, amazing bath room and warm and delightful hosts. Laurence was super helpful with the facilities visited almost everyday to enquire about how we were doing.

There are no supermarkets or general stores nearby.

Beautiful estate with the most impressive garden.

It’s a beautiful estate and great location. The house is spacious and very well equiped. The host Fabien is very nice and helpful. The garden and around the house is just perfect - we’ve got the chance to watch horses grazing and the hundreds years old trees around the house are the most impressive ever.

Dreamy Stay in the French Countryside

Very sweet owners who made our stay so happy that we extended our time! Spacious, historic, beautiful, and interesting property. There were friendly horses and flowering trees outside. Bright kitchen. Convenient location. My kids loved the trampoline and soccer net.

Stay near Bayeux

The location of the property is excellent. Close to the Normandy coast, the city of Bayeux and a plethora of supermarkets and stores. The property itself is secluded from the main street and provides ample privacy for lounging in the beautiful garden. The lovely garden is this property’s absolute selling point. It is a wonderful place to relax, read a book or enjoy each other’s company.

The hygiene standards in the kitchen and bathroom were definitely subpar. We found mouse droppings spread over several kitchen cabinets - absolutely unacceptable and points towards a lack of regular inspection/deep clean. Frankly, the general state of the property, including the cleanliness, made us wonder about the trustworthiness of prior glowing reviews. Several light switches and electrical sockets malfunctioned, with some of the switches falling back into the wall when touching them. The furniture was dated and not all that comfortable. This place has a ton of potential, it’s a true shame it is not well tended.

The villa supérieure is very spacious. The photos don’t do it justice. Lovely and peaceful with a huge fireplace for ambience. Tons of WWII locations a short drive away.

Caratteristico Chateau normanno

L'appartamento era molto ampio e provvisto di tutto (in cucina ci sono tutti gli accessori necessari e anche di più). Il parco immenso e curatissimo. Campo da tennis con racchette fornite, tappeto elastico, porte da calcio. Per raggiungere Bayeux e i negozi è necessaria l'auto ma sono solo 7/8 minuti. A piedi è un po' lunghetta ma si può fare.

Das Château ist ein ein wunderbarer Ort zur Erholung. Die Einrichtung ist liebevoll und sehr ausgewählt gestaltet. Die Räume sind sehr großzügig. Laurence ist eine sehr umsichtige und freundliche Gastgeberin. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt und werden sicherlich nicht das letzte Mal Gäste an diesem wunderbaren Ort gewesen sein.

Wunderschöne, ruhige Lage. Riesiger eingezäunter Garten, ideal mit Hund. Sehr nette Eigentümerin, unkompliziert. Die Wohnung ist perfekt ausgestattet, es fehlt an nichts. Bayeux ist mit dem Auto 5 min. Sehenswürdigkeiten an der Küste in 20 min zu erreichen. Ideal um einen entspannten Urlaub zu verbringen.
