What an exceptional and magical place this is. A beautiful château with a wonderful garden full of interesting animals, which our children loved to interact with. Sandra is a great host that made us feel welcome and went the extra mile to create memories that our children will foster for ever. Thank you so much Sandra!

Very serene place and beautiful surroundings.
Maybe just would be nice to have 1 more toilet but not a huge problem

The chateau, apartment and grounds were beautiful. Our children loved running around the grounds and feeding the animals in the mornings, as well as swimming in the evenings after a day of touring.

An amazing place, the perfect location for Normandy exploring. Located just 5mins walk from the British memorial its is a great central location for all of the Normandy landing sites and museums. The Chateux has a small pool and beautiful grounds with some resident animals (Bunnies, Ducks, Goose, Swans, Sheep and Goats which you can ask to feed to keep the children entertained). It was lovely and relaxing sitting in the gardens enjoying the scenery and wine, a really relaxing and very peaceful stay. Sandra (the host) was excellent, super friendly, super helpful and give some interesting history on the Chateux
Within walking distance of the Chateux is an amazing bakery(Boulangerie Désobeaux Père et Fils) check the opening times though.
Nothing, we only wished we could have stayed longer!

Everything! This is the best place to stay in France! Hands down! The hostess Sandra is just wonderful! The place is so beautiful and so close to the water. The village is quiet and has fantastic bakery open daily and great grocery store! There is a clothing store also ! Just book it because is more than what you can imagine!
There is absolutely nothing they we didn’t like.

I can not recommend this place enough. It was absolutely amazing. The Chateau was beautiful and well decorated and maintained. The grounds were so beautiful and peaceful. My daughter chose to skip the WWII museum in Caen so that she could spend the day reading by the pond and feeding the ducks. The beds were comfortable and we were able to walk to the local market and pick up groceries to make dinner using the well equipped kitchen. Sandra, the host, was wonderful. She made sure we had everything we needed and even let us use some herbs from her garden. When I asked her what to do with the linens and trash on check out, she said we didn't need to do anything as we were on holiday. We enjoyed the private use of the indoor pool as well. We plan on coming back again for a longer visit and would not even look at staying anywhere else in Normandy. We loved it here.
Everything was perfect.

Everything!! This may be the nicest place we stayed as a family. I would give it 20 stars if I could! It was really like staying in a castle and Sandra was wonderful!! She was there for everything we needed! My girls loved feeding the goats, sheep, ducks and bunnies. They loved the place and the pool and want to go back to Normandy just to stay here again!
You must stay here if you’re in Normandy!! Best place ever!

An outstanding property, exceptionally clean and tastefully furnished, Sandra was so welcoming and helpful. The grounds were incredible and facilities first class. The property is situated next door to The British War Memorial and is perfectly situated for exploring all of Normandy.
The en-suite facilities don’t always include a toilet but Sandra was so helpful that the issue was overcome.

Amazing location/village and lovely property in beautiful grounds, the host was very nice and immediately helped out with some small issues we had whilst also offering good advise on places to eat. It was very easy to access the property and also to check-out.
The property had 3 large rooms with bathrooms, however, this is a little misleading as the bathroom contained a shower and not a toilet, there was only 1 toilet which when shared with 6 people has the potential to become an issue.

This property is amazing. The grounds are a beautiful, relaxing place to unwind. The accommodations in the Chateau are even better than portrayed online. The size was more than adequate for our family of 3. Our son appreciated being able to go swimming after a day of siteseeing. Thank you for a great stay!

This was a beautiful, well appointed property in a perfect location: near key landmarks and within walking distance of an excellent dog friendly beach. The hostess was perfectly friendly and helpful, making us feel very welcome.
Ver Sur Mer is quieter and less commercialised than the nearby Courseilles sur Mer, but we liked that. A (great) bakery and well stocked small supermarket were a couple of hundred metres away and open daily. Other shops were a very short drive away. The British Memorial was right next door and walkable from the Chateau and other DDay landmarks only a few kms away. Key US-specific landmarks are not so far away and easily driveable.
The Chateau has been carefully renovated : modern and stylish apartments maintaining the old charm of the house. The grounds with ducks and geese and swans and sheep feel a bit like you’ve landed in a Disney animation. While we had to leash our pupper near the wildlife, there was still ample areas for her to run free. And the nearby beach meant she enjoyed her stay as much as we did. Can’t recommend this place enough.
Each room was en-suite with modern showers and sinks, but there was only one toilet for the apartment. We were 4, so made it work but had we occupied all the bedrooms, 6 people sharing one toilet could have been a stretch. But it’s not a showstopper and a minor thing considering everything else about the apartment.

Incredibly beautiful location and property - with truly welcoming and warm hosts. Everything was very well arranged and explained, and communication was very easy and quick. The animals in the large garden (more a park) were super nice for the kids - a lovely bonus. Would definitely recommend!
nothing - all was great

the place is a cheteux which seems to be quite old but beautifully kept and updated, it is so quite and relaxing, there is also a nice large garden full of ducks and geese you can feed. we also had the facilities to use a bbq and were lucky to have nice weather. the host Sandra is very nice and will go out of her way to facilitate your stay. its also very close to a bakery and a small minimarket you can pick up some supplies. and if visiting the d day beaches its very close to the arromanches, juno and gold beaches
nothing we liked everything

You be hard pressed to find a nicer location in Ver S/ Mer. The Manor is right next to the British Normandy Memorial and only a few minutes from the beach. The combination of the chateaus lively architecture and the extensive garden makes for a unique location. We loved that there was so much to do: feed the animals, splash in the pool or just relax in the yard. Of course there’s also a lot to see in the area and it’s a perfect home base from which to explore the surrounding area.
I must also add that I thoroughly enjoyed our hostess’ hospitality and swift response to whatever question we had. The apartment was outfitted with everything- we stayed for two weeks and hardly needed to get a thing beyond food.
Nothing, there’s no compliant.

Everything about the apartment was beautiful and comfortable. It has been furnished and maintained to a high standard and it really shows. We spent a lot of time on the terrace and exploring the grounds. The goats, sheep, ducks and swans were such a highlight for my daughter who adores animals and they loved her attention. The pool was also lovely and so nice that you can book it to yourself. The Chateau was, I believe, fully booked, yet so quiet and private. I hope to come again!

No breakfast; but nearby bakery exceptional.
Some advice on locality suitable to us would have been great (we had a dog that could have come to the restaurant on our first night but we didn’t know)…

Stunning setting! So many beautiful spots outside to sit, relax and enjoy the views. My daughter loved being able to feed the ducks, goats and sheep each day. Perfect location from which to visit all key historical spots in Normandy. Kitchen was well equipped with quality equipment.
The bathroom and shower were a little small. We also felt the pool would be used more if it was always open to all guests. Booking a slot was difficult when you are out and about and unable to predict when you would be back to use it. We were also disappointed that the wellness was not operating apart from booking someone to come to your room which felt a bit invasive. But overall it was an awesome stay.

Lovely, clean spacious apartment. Grounds were beautiful and the children could feed the ducks and explore the gardens. Linen clean and beds comfy. Great location to visit various D Day beaches, museums and memorials. Sandra was helpful and friendly and offered suggestions of places to eat, shop. Great bakery a short 5 minute walk
For a 3 bedroom apartment, that could potentially sleep 6, it could do with more than 1 toilet.

The Chateau was the highlight of our 2-night 3-day visit to Normandy! Sandra was a terrific host and was always around to answer our questions and bring us anything we needed. She provided us with a great list of restaurants and bakeries in the area. There was a small grocery store and a bakery within a short walking distance. The entire apartment was spotless and very modern and had everything a family of 5 needed. Check-in and check-out was a breeze. Being able to feed the ducks and geese and goats on the property with the feed that Sandra provided was a thrill for our 7-year old grandson. The indoor swimming pool was also a big hit with him. The entire property is stunning and the other guests we met were very friendly and eager to share a glass of wine on the patio while we discussed the days events. The Chateau is very close to Juno Beach, that as Canadians was a must see, and it is very central to the rest of the sites we wanted to see in Normandy. I highly recommend the Chateau for a couple, two couples or a small family and without hesitation we will stay there on our next visit. We had 2 cars and there was ample on-site parking for all the guests. The main gate to the property had an electric coded entrance and exit so once on site you felt very safe. Thank you Sandra for being such a wonderful host to our family! We hope to see you again!
The only thing we didn’t like was the fact we could only spend 2 nights at the Chateau!

Beautiful, very clean, modern/scandinavian style - light, no clutter, functional. My style - minimal, beautiful.
Everything you would need. Kitchen items galore.
Sandra is an amazing hostess. Friendly, easily reachable.
Grill outside was great. Wonderful place to sit outside. Really nice couches, tables and chairs to sit outside very comfortably and Great sun at the back of the house after a day of touring around to enjoy the ducks, chickens, swans and pond.
Great location to visit all the locations, different beaches, museums and restaurants.
There wasn't one thing that wasn't perfect.

Beautiful pond and park-like grounds surrounding the chateau were amazing. Sandra was available for any issues that needed to be looked at. The chateau was in a central area close to WW2 battle fronts. Great place to stay in a 1884 French Chateau with all the modern facilities.
