Renovated Country House Close to the Landing Sites and Bayeux

Our stay at the country home in Bayeux was amazing ! This is an outstanding property, beautifully restored old stone farm house. The location was perfect for driving to see all of the sites at Normandy, the American cemetery, Omaha Beach and Juno Beach. It was an easy short drive to the large grocery store Caremark in town and all of the great restaurants. FYI.. make reservations for the restaurants.. most are small and cozy and will be busy. The home had very comfortable beds, 2 1/2 baths with great showers and also a claw foot tub ! The upscale furnishings were lovely and appliances were all easy to use.. which for an American is sometimes very challenging. Our host were super friendly and tried so much to make our stay a memorable one. We would HIGHLY recommend this home to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in the French countryside. Everything about the property was perfect our family was not ready to leave. If you are planning a trip to Normandy do not pass on this property if it is available

We enjoyed this lovely country cottage. It was equipped with everything we needed.It was a 6 minute drive to the center of Bayeux and the museum.

Carole and Stephen met us at the property and were friendly and welcoming. Carole took us round the property and explained the functioning of items in the living room and the kitchen. The property has a well equipped kitchen. The TV, luckily, has some English channels. We spotted a plumbing problem, Stephen was happy to spend time fixing it straight away.The house was spotlessly clean and the garden very large. As we had a toddler in our party the fully enclosed garden was important. The main supermarkets are in Bayeux but we did find a bread shop nearby on the D572 near Noron-la-poterie.Would definitely recommend staying here.
