We had a lovely stay - the accommodations were quite comfortable and pleasing!

The property was lovely - with ample interior space to gather.

The coordination for the door access code was a little trying - I guess they don't release the code until a deposit is made, which I thought had been made because I booked with a credit card. I think the language barrier could have contributed a little to this as well.

A beautiful little property, imaginatively restored and excellently maintained.

Everything! The house is beautiful and superbly maintained. The facilities are wonderful and location great.

Sadly, our entry was delayed by a problem with the lock and as we were only there for one night we didn’t feel we could make the most of the property. I particularly wanted to cook but three starving teenagers couldn’t wait any longer for food so we went into Bayeux to eat out. This meant even less time at the property.

Very lovely stay at a picturesque well located property

The location was perfect for our purposes. The farm is wonderful It is well kept and well managed.

Everything about the property was well done. I did feel at times that the instructions from the management group were a bit prescriptive. However that also meant things were well done at the stay My wife and I are fastidious about our treatment of someone else’s home so our standards for such are even higher. Small blip in an over wise wonderful experience

Very nice property and great location all else associated with the property very challenging.

The third bedroom was a loft which was a surprise as was the $700 deposit required to gain access. All communication was in French which made the checkin and accessing the property a nightmare.

avoid unless you want to clean it, make sure you bring your own beddings

- very good location to explore Bayeux, walking distance to the town centre, nicely renovated and decorated by the previous owner

upon arrival we discovered that the beddings were not changed after the previous guests, some were covered with BROWN STAINS. Whatsapp-ed the cleaning lady, she responded that the previous visitors left everything stained (assuming this was our fault?) she would come over tomorrow (!) to have a look. We had to go to the local supermarket and buy beddings at our own cost. Next day the cleaning lady attended the property in our absence, and accepted that the beds were not changed. She changed some sheets replacing the ones we bought. Some of the "new" beddings were covered in brown stains again! she promised to wash them as soon as possible! Long story short, we used the sheets from the supermarket for the duration of our stay kitchen / dishes and cutlery were not cleaned, the dishwasher is very dirty, needs proper cleaning or replacement outdoor furniture covered with bird's poo I got all pictures but don't want to share as they are pretty nasty the property does not have a washing machine as per description at booking Neither the cleaning lady not the property manager offered us apologies or compensation for the cost of beddings

The reality of the property didn’t match our requirements

Main two bedrooms beds were very comfortable. The garden view was very pleasant. The property was quiet

We think the description of the property did not reflect the reality. Firstly the third bedroom is not a bedroom, but a mezzanine level above the landing. This is not listed nor shown in the photo. A steep ladder is not appropriate for less able-bodied individuals nor young children. Our children are older and were expecting their own rooms and space, not a mezzanine. A better description would be two bedrooms plus a mezzanine (accessed by ladder) sleeping area. Secondly there is no washing machine as listed on the website. Thirdly the photos imply some use of the garden given that a photo shows the house from the garden but the housekeeper said this was not the case. Finally, there is no mention that the terraced outside space is open to an adjoining property, which fortunately for us was unoccupied.

Exceptional

The property and location was superb.

I felt the host (or person acting on behalf of the host) was ok in general but she could have been a little more reactive to my messages on the day of arrival - in short, I asked for the WiFi password on the Friday night of arrival, and she responded at midday the following day (plus she also didn't even bother to ask if we had settled in ok, either on the Friday or Saturday, which I thought was very poor servicw). Also, we were told we had to vacate the property earlier than we had wanted on the Sunday because the place had to be cleaned, but in reality we subsequently discovered the property had still not been cleaned at around 3pm, which meant we could have stayed longer! In the grand scheme of things however, these were fairly minor issues as we really did love the property but felt it was let down slightly by the overall customer service.
