Whitechapel Grand

Easy access to the tube, and only a couple of stops to anywhere we wanted to visit. Nice little studio, with just what you need for a few days in London on a budget. Whitechapel has loads of great cafes within a short walking distance. Cool little pad.

Traffic can be loud, but we had the window open because it was summer. You are near a hospital, so expect ambulances and sirens.

was comfortable ensuite bathroom was clean and host was very accommodating and polite overall very good

could have had a pan and few more pots and cutlery

WhatsApp 'ed 30mins before arrival and received video to show where to head to and door code needed for arrival. It was so hot on the day we arrived and once we entered the property the wall fan was going and window was open so room was nice and cool which was very thoughtful of host so thank you. We were doing a pub crawl so was literally somewhere to lay our heads and shower the next day but this had everything needed. The beds were so comfy and best night sleep even with England winning and the celebrations on the street :)

These were small things and would not put me off booking again. We couldn't get normal TV to finish watching the England game, tried tuning but no joy so had to watch 2nd half on phone but no big issue. We couldn't find a tea towel to wipe up so cups were air dried. The electric stopped but got that going again and other half had to have a cold shower before we could work the boiler out ;) but as I say these were little things

The price was very good for 3 people. We Liked how close it was to the tube station. Felt safe and the host had great communication and was very kind to meet us at the property. They have complementary coffee and tea sachets. Good facilities including pots and pans, cups and glasses . Towels were provided. Body wash and hand soap were also provided.

Shower was a bit on the weaker side and there was built of limescale, dirt around the shower tray and shower heads. There were no space or hooks to hang your towels so we use the hangers from cupboard. You can hear people walking up and down and it’s on a main road so there was constantly noise especially police sirens. When the lights are off it’s still quite bright in the room. So bring ear plugs and eye masks. We were only give one toilet roll and we had to buy our own. We were not aware that someone would come tidy the room but did not place the toilet roll. The sofa bed was a little dirty and not very comfortable to sleep on but for the price you can’t go wrong. I don’t believe there was any air vents in the bathroom so it got a bit steamy after showers but we just opened the window in the living room.
