I would not recommend this accommodation despite its great location.

Proximity to train and gondola

Some staff were outright rude and unhelpful. Families used the dining area like a playground with their unattended children . Loud, uncomfortable .

We had a relaxing stay at a non-busy time of year (Sept.) and enjoyed the excellent breakfast.

The location was walkable from the nearest railway station. It is set back from the main road and although there is some traffic, mainly during the day, we did not find it a problem. From the hotel we went on walks uphill or into Disentis. Although the hot food at breakfast was I think limited to boiled eggs, the available coffee, and cold meat, cheese, bread, cereal etc. was first class! Therefore I am glad we paid for the bed&breakfast room rate. You can also eat lunch or dinner in the hotel, rather than walking into Disentis.

The room size was a little small. If there was a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities it would be better.

Lovely breakfast in a visually appealing setting

The setting for the hotel was lovely. There was plenty of scenery all around. We enjoyed exploring the area. The Disentis Abbey is a must see! The included breakfast was wonderful and the breakfast room very welcoming.

Some of the staff were smoking and there was a strong smell of smoke inside the hotel. Our room was a little tired looking, but this was reflected in the price and the room itself was comfortable enough.

Affordable accommodation in Switzerland.

Well placed for the part of Switzerland we were visiting. The price was really good. The food was excellent. The staff were very friendly and professional. Very popular with fellow motorcyclists. Everything was in a good state of repair. Very clean and cmfortable.

Thanks for the great stay

Given the fact it was very reasonably priced, the room was fantastic. With a balcony and mountain view, good bed and everything you need. Just a short walk from the Acla station and the supermarket. Friendly staff.

Of course, there's always minor points. The bathroom isn't big and it isn't a 5 star brand new hotel. But it was great!

Clean

The night before we arrived, I got an email saying that the restaurant was closed and my room key would be available at a lockbox. No problem, I thought. We arrived at mid afternoon. The code worked, the key cards were there, and they worked to open the hotel door. They did NOT open the room, however, and there was no one on site. I called the number on my reservation confirmation 4 times. The first 2 times there was no answer. The third time the call was picked up but no one spoke or answered me. The fourth time there was a recording in German, with no opportunity to leave a message. We decided to go into the town to get dinner, and ask someone there to call for us. (There was another couple having key trouble, too, but I don’t know what happened with them.) During dinner a restaurant employee was able to get through to someone, who said new cards would be put into the lockbox. We went back after dinner, opened the lockbox, but no cards. We were about to leave to find another hotel, when a woman drove up. She had the cards. No apologies for the inconvenience, nothing at all, just a shrug. These cards did work. We found a tiny room, the smallest in a month of travel. It was barely large enough for us and our closed suitcases. We couldn’t get the television to work, and breakfast the next morning was adequate but not great. As we were leaving, with Booking.com having already paid the bill, a man insisted that we pay the Swiss tourist tax, something that was already charged according to the Booking.com information I had. He refused to listen to anything I said. I would NOT recommend this hotel. If they aren’t interested in having an employee take care of guests, won’t apologize for their mistakes, have equipment that doesn’t work, and double charge for the tourist tax, why would anyone want to stay there? As it is, I am out of the money to make international phone calls as well as the money I paid to the restaurant employee who helped us.
