Overall a okay room, comfy enough for a night. Good cost-performance ratio.

It’s in a quiet neighborhood (but I think overall Luxembourg is quite quiet). The room is comfy and the bed is also quite nice.

I didn’t really like the bathroom it’s somewhat shared but it’s okay considering the price. The walls were not really soundproof so we can hear from the first floor from ground floor (wasn’t a big issue for me).

Unpleasant smell

Location

When we checked in, the room had a strong, unpleasant smell. We tried opening the windows, but nothing changed — the disgusting odor didn’t go away (room2) . The operator who answered from this apartment(on booking) was completely unhelpful and couldn’t even answer basic questions. Very disappointing experience. 👎🏼

Nice location, but apartment needs work

Our stay at the apartment was disappointing, as it did not live up to the listing's description and photos. The property is visibly in need of renovation. The most significant issue was the climate control. The heating system was uncontrollable, making the apartment unbearably hot and stuffy throughout our stay. Combined with the extremely dry air, it created a very uncomfortable living environment, making it difficult to sleep or relax. We hope this feedback is helpful for the host to make necessary improvements for future guests.

Budget apartment, excellent location, basic but clean.

The host was super quick to respond and sort out any issues. Location perfect for city exploration. Great water pressure in the shower. Lovely covered balcony to sit out and enjoy the garden. The apartment was clean.

Apartment was a bit shabby . No extra blankets for when it got cold. One mattress was worn and the bed was squeaky - the other bed was comfortable. Our private bathroom was down in the basement, which wasn't made clear in the description.

Good location and basic facilities but I feel that it could be more affordable

Basics that you need on a room for the night. Bed and electric sockets to charge gadgets. The bed linen although they’re old they’re newly washed and not recycled. The shared toilet was also clean when we arrived.

The other Indian guests who spoke very loudly and had the smoke detector peeped twice because at 22:45 he was cooking lots of onions with egg that made the smell and smoke the entire house until 2nd floor. It was horrible. I also found a bakery receipt in Brugees of probably the previous guest lying on the floor which could be just a little missed on the part of the house keeping. Someone was there cleaning up when we left and she was friendly.

Poor value - not recommended

Close to the town centre in quiet area, fairly clean. Nice garden / view to the back.

Overall, it was a rather shabby and poorly maintained place. Kitchen equipment is largely not working and quite grubby. Bed too soft. The house is very loud - you can hear every step of people in the house (no carpets). They charge 10 Euro for doing a laundry load - more than the local laundromat. It appears as though the owners only want to make a quick buck, but don't really care about the comfort of their guests. Rather disappointing.

Basic room, no working wifi.

- Cheap room for Luxembourg. - Street parking available. - Kitchen available - Close to city centre and the sights

- Wifi did not work properly on top floor. Kept disconnecting, and when it was working it was so slow it could not open a website. They should install a range extender. - No staff at all. Sent message regarding the faulty wifi, but jost got a reply back that it worked for the other guests. That does not help me though. - Door does not shut properly on top floor. so you will hear absolutely everything that goes on in the house including in the other rooms. - Kitchen equipment very basic. Needs some upgrades.

I’d like to share my personal experience about staying in apartments in Luxembourg. First of all, the photos shown on Booking.com were quite different from the reality. The real condition of the apartment was disappointing. The room was in terrible shape: the walls were very dirty, the pillow was old, the lamp was torn, the clothes hanger was broken, and everything creaked. On the positive side, when I asked for an iron, they provided it, and there was a parking spot near the building, which was convenient for me. The location was also close to my workplace.

A pleasant short stay

It was a smaller but cozy room and affordable. We found the mattress and the pillows very comfortable unlike some of the reviews that we read about them being uncomfortable. You have a bed, a rack for clothes and a table with two chairs. It has a very big window and a scenic view. The shared bathroom was exceptionally clean and tidy. We loved everything about the room, as well as the kitchen, the garden and the shared bathroom. You even have very cheap snacks that you can buy in the kitchen! We really loved everything about it!

However, the only thing we found very annoying were the people staying up late in the kitchen and talking very loudly. You cannot relax properly because as most people commented on here, the walls are very thin and you can hear everything if the people are not considerate like in this case.

At first it was horrible, then it got better.

At the beginning everything was horrible, they didn't send me an email to let me know which was my room and neither did they let me into the house. I arrived at night and couldn't get in. I waited outside for about an hour and a half, I tried to contact the owners but no one answered during that hour and a half, I was desperate and tired. If it hadn't been for some people who helped me get in, I don't know what would have happened. After that horrible start, everything was better. It was clean and nice, but the beginning was the worst.

Disappointing

The facility claims to have private external bathroom, while there was nothing private about it. The external bathroom is accessible to anyone in the facility and not just our room like it was advertised. Inside the bedroom was even a poster and keys hung on the wall where they mentioned again that we get a private external bathroom. The keys are useless and don’t lock the bathroom at all. The door doesn’t even have a lock from the outside, not sure why they even placed these keys at all…

The room was super clean! Although the bathroom is shared with the other four rooms I didn’t have to wait for too long to use it. It’s really nice that there is a kitchen and a terrace with an amazing view to the nature. I would definitely recommend staying here!

The shower is too slow and there is also no water flow in the shower room. Please solve that problem and down side only hot water comes with no medium water in the washroom. At this price we definitely want some proper services.

Too much money for a basic room

In general you pay for what you get but not in this case, too much money for a basic single room with a shared bathroom. Squeaky floor and stars, room very basic, a single bed and 1 small duvet (even though the picture shows a double bed when I booked) and no option for additional cover for the cold night in the ‘European summer’, 1 small bath towel only. There are 3 hobs available but people around didn’t know how to use it, I suggest adding some information around in these case.

A perfect system of self-check-in, everything was automated and very efficient. Smart location, clean and spacy room. A big benefit is a clean and well-equipped kitchen with a tee and coffee for free. Good choice for staying for a day or two in Luxemburg.

It is a very cosy and comfortable house with a beautiful garden, the neighborhood is quiet with lots of green spaces. The facilities are well taken care of, everything is clean and easy to use.

If you book an upstairs room you will need to climb a lot of stairs. My room was on the second floor and the stairs creak very loudly, I was worried about bothering the other residents.

Forget it if over 30

Price was good and the cleaning lady did an excellent job. Kitchen facilities good and nice patio out back.

The owner was extremely rude upon our arrival, two seniors who didn't have phone access and Canadian email not working correctly and trying to get in. Absolutely no sympathy or helpfulness. This is NOT a hotel. It is a hostel or a semi rooming house and should be labeled such. One bathroom unuusable, clogged. Very bare room. No TV. Long walk uphill to bus pulling suitcases. Ok for kids on cheap but NOT for anyone else. Was fooled by the price and how it looked on line. Pay more and go elsewhere.
