Beautiful apartment on Portofino Harbor

Beautiful apartment on Portofino Harbor so close to everything. The apartment is spacious with a large bathroom. So glad that it had a washer, but it took us a while to find the pods. It's close to everything and lots of restaurants just outside your door. The windows opened up to beautiful views.

Dark, steep stairs to the room that was kind of creepy. There is a step-up right outside of the bedroom that is really dangerous. The tile is dark, and so you can't readily see it, especially at night.

Nice view, stairs dreadful would not stay here again

Location.

The very unclean dark dingy stairwell we had to try and get our suitcases up after we prised the door open and a paint ladder and other bits fell down against the wall from behind the door so we couldn’t open the door right up to access the stairs. We had to move all that stuff back before we could start climbing our suitcase up the narrow steps. There was mould on wall around shower, no make up light and kitchen tap was about to fall out of the sink.

Wonderful location, nightmare experience.

The house is on the main square of Portofino and the view is amazing

The overall experience was frustrating and unwelcoming. Arrival was disappointing, but the beauty of the village made up for it. Guests access the house through something that resembles more a ladder than a stairway. We found no one there to welcome us. House equipment is pretty old (including the air conditioning, which we were unable to turn off). We are not light sleepers yet falling asleep was not easy due to the noise coming inside through the windows that are very old and as little soundproof as they could be. On top of the considerable amount of 500 euro per night, we were required to pay a 250 euro deposit which proved to be disproportionately high considering the poor status of the house equipment. The experience turned extremely frustrating at the time of checking out. First, we found the trash policy somehow disturbing in the light of circumstances. Inside the house there is a sign threatening the levy of a penalty in case you … leave trash in the bin. Consequently, irrespective of how much we paid, we had to collect the trash from the bin. Second, the deposit was collected 6 hours after check-out, which defies logic. Despite being reassured that the deposit had already been liberated, it was in the exact moment Booking became involved and contacted the household management that the money was returned (which proves that the reassurances we received to that point were false).

Amazing location and great communication with the manager to get the keys.

My wife had an electric shock from one of the light fittings from the bedside lamp. I message the manager directly at the time to inform her and we did not get an apology of any kind. All I received back was "ok thank you we will look at this asap!"

Great location in Portofino

location was best. full kitchen and washer.

if your visiting during summer be aware the air on doesn’t blow cold air. internet is spotty, we had to constantly reset the WiFi router. Floor was stained. also be aware of the trash policy. Check in process was all via phone or text. No parking but that’s just Portofino for you. paid almost 90 euros for 2 days.

Best value and location in Portofino

Clear instructions and videos for check in. Despite the reviews - it was perfectly clean, and we have high standards! Comfortable bed and linen. Best location in Portofino, right above the Rolex store. Anyone complaining about price or facilities is likely new to Europe or Portofino - this place is excellent value and quality for the price. Super friendly staff too. Do your research on restaurants for the best experience as there are a lot of tourist traps in town. Capo Nord is a must during the summer season.

A new steam iron would have made the stay perfect, but the current one was ok.

the only thing that is good is the location, it was dirty specialy the floor . There nothing inside no condiments , no cofee …very sad , the intrance was discusting !!! bad experience !

The position was second to none. Couldn't ask for a better spot. Stunning views of the inlet and just sitting and people watching.

The room could do with a little TLC, having to walk your luggage down from the car park was a mission, especially over the cobble stones. Apart from that all good.

The location is very nice, obviously you can hear guests in the bar outside in the evening, but still very pretty indeed and the sitting-room and bath-room are nicely appointed.

When we arrived there was no linen for one of the two beds, the cleaner had to come and bring it, only to find that there was no duvet for the second bed either. The cleaner rang the host and notified her, saying she would come later to bring a duvet and we should call her regarding the timing. We called her three times, she did not answer, nor did she read our whatsapp messages. At 00:39 she sent a text to say she had been unaware and if we were cold we could put the heating on. Hmh. Also, there was a coffee machine with not a single pod there and in the local shops you cannot buy any (there are only delicatessens in Portofino). One shampoo for two people, again, you cannot buy any in Portofino, so better bring your own. Personally I think it is also misleading to list the property as having parking, when it does not and you need to find your own and pay for it (we paid €38 for 2o hrs in Portofino). I had asked the host for an address for parking for my satnav, but she only sent a Youtube video without an address, even when I asked specifically again. So a little disappointing and stressful when the appartement is otherwise very nice (sofa-bed very hard) and it was supposed to be a relaxing week-end away. Again, lovely location and nice decor.

un depto con la bahía a tus pies, increíble

La ubicación es alucinante, estás literalmente sobre la bahía abriendo las ventanas, era un placer comer viendo todo el espectáculo. El depto está bien, muy cómodo y bien surtido, tiene lavarropas lo cual es muy bueno, sumamente recomendable en todo sentido.

Está un poco descuidado en general, se podría mejorar o modernizar la decoración. Como sugerencia nada más.
