The view was great.

The bed was broken, keys were thrown at us on arrival and we were ignored. Then were sent a private message to send through passport details which made us all quite uncomfortable. All of the bed slats hadn’t been secured (later found all of the securing parts in a random drawer) and the girl who I booked this spot for fell straight through the bed injuring herself. The bathroom was disgusting.

Magical location but interior could do with an upgrade

The location is the most impressive I've ever stayed in. It's a real wow moment when you walk in and see the view from all windows. You're right in the middle of Portofino on the harbour and the location can't be beaten. Great communication with the owner prior to check in and advice on how to get to the apartment. Self check in was straightforward

Whilst I can understand the high price for the location, the standard of the interior needs some improvement. The furnishings are pleasant but the cleanliness was pretty poor. Although it was the state the previous guests had left the crockery in, this should be checked by the cleaning staff. The crockery and cutlery was dirty and greasy, I assume as no cleaning equipment is provided, so we had to use a towel to clean the dishes ourselves before we could use them. The supplied plates, glasses etc were also very poor - one or two oddly matched items, leftovers from sets I guess. It's all quite poor when you can get a cheap set from IKEA. The bathroom needs a good renovation and the main bed has all broken slats which we had to re-jig to ensure it could safely be slept on. Whilst the view is stunning the net curtains are not even vaguely adequate so I would recommend taking an eye mask if you don't want to be woken when the sun rises. The place is magical but it wouldn't hurt if the owner spent a few euros bringing the standard up to scratch. Communication was good and the owner advised they would bring new plates in the following day but that was too late unfortunately

The location is superb and offers a unique view of the bay of Portofino. If you value a unique view from your private apartment window, this apartment is perfect for you. Don't expect too much from the furnishings and their quality. Enjoy the sunrise from your apartment window with a cup of espresso and the evening lights with a glass of wine.

The decor isn't exactly inviting. The kitchen utensils, in particular, are in dire need of replacement. We therefore only used coffee cups and wine glasses, all of which looked different. It looks like unused family utensils were left there. I don't even want to mention the pots and pans.

Perfect location in the heart of Portofino

We loved the location of the apartment. It is right above the Ristorante Delfino. You walk past the restaurant and there is a door on the right that you enter. You must carry your luggage up a flight of stairs. The apartment is pretty big.

The place is a little dated. It was very cold in the apartment and thank goodness there was an electric heater in the bedroom. There was a coffee maker but no coffee. It would be nice if you could at least leave a package of coffee.

The view from the apartment was breathtaking unfortunately thats all I can say about the apartment it was extremely disappointing.

You are clearly paying a high price for the view and because its Portofino. Restaurants were extremely expensive there is very little to do. Its good for a visit but I would not recommend an overnight stay. So many more beautiful places to visit and stay in Italy. you could see everything in an afternoon.

From a facilities point of view this was probably one of the worst accommodations I have ever stayed in. Dirty apartment, leaking air conditioning units. Beds were absolutely horrific! I wouldn’t let my dog sleep on them.

Too much furniture in this small apartment. Had to move the furniture away from in front of the windows to be able to look out and enjoy the incredible views. A window was broken with cardboard taped over the empty hole! Some furniture and artwork could be updated...

what can I say? the views are simply unbeatable, the location superb and the rustic and historic building the apartment is located in is delightful.

I would have liked a more comfortable sofa..this one is like sitting on a rock (lol). Lack of kitchen cleaning products..the kitchen could do with a reorganisation and good clean.

The place was dirty, and there were no soap/shampoo, trash cans, trash bags, dish soap, no hand towel or paper towel for kitchen. There was hair from previous guests in bathroom and apartment floor, and the bed was very uncomfortable and bedding smelled old.

There was a pane of glass missing from a window, a curtain missing, no internet connection, plastic bottles on the ground used to collect water from the airconditioning units, dirty pillows, stains on the dining chairs and some curtains, tiny bathroom and shower with no where to even put your soap, nothing to dry dishes with as no tea-towel provided, stove did not heat so we couldn't use it.

Location, location, location

Like the title says, this apartment is in the box seat in one of the world’s beauty spots. The view out of the apartment was directly over the harbour and metres from it. Located in a building probably with the best view of not only Portafino but out to sea. The apartment was quite spacious and reasonably well furnished. The kitchen had a stove, oven, Nespresso machine, kettle and various plates, pots and pans. Functional bathroom, comfortable bed, though strangely wide and short ( we did think of changing the direction of the pillows- if you are over 180cm tall I suggest you do it). Alex met us and let us in. That said we had no idea where the apartment was located when we arrived other than the ‘ street’ name. It is over Delfina and Stella restaurants.

Minor points really: not knowing where exactly to go when we arrived. It would be helpful to have the location instead of wandering about dragging our luggage. Not having the spare mattress in the only cupboard with hanging space. A plug for the kitchen sink and a tea towel. The cups and plates were not really clean and it was difficult to ‘wash up’ properly. A proper iron and an ironing board. I didn’t know they still made tiny travel irons. It was not useful.
