About this apartment rental

The spacious, bright apartment is located on the upper floor of a 2-family house. Huge windows and large balcony overlooking Alpspitze and Zugspitze. The situation is extremely quiet.
One large bedroom with 2 single beds and a 12 m2 bedroom with a "queen size" bed and a single bed.
Other sleeping arrangements in the living room (solid folding bed for up to 2 people and extra mattress on the wall. Bathroom with separate bath and shower and washing machine.
Fully equipped kitchen with hob, oven, good pots and pans double sink with drainer and dishwasher.
The living room has a large flat screen TV with plenty of comfortable seating, Up also for feet.
WIFI.
Everything is in place, so you have to bring nothing, except personal belongings

Really amazing view, and comfortable place with lots of room to spread out. However it did not seem that it was ready for us to arrive. Coffee maker completely disassembled, no soap for hands in bathroom or kitchen, drying rack full of bedding, towels in dryer. Would have liked to know we need to bring coffee beans as we arrived after stores were closed.

The house is clean and orderly, and has a vintage feel to it that we found locationally charming given the neighborhood. As the house is set back a ways from the street, you feel enveloped in the quietness of the neighborhood. The furnishings inside are older, but clean and functional. There are a handful of nearby groceries that can easily be walked to! The sleeping quarters are spacious, but the bedding could be improved by better linens are pillows - consider bringing your own pillow as we all found these quite flat. The kitchen is small but certainly workable for cooking, although you’ll have to plan to pick up all the basic amenities including salt, pepper, oil, etc, as these were not provided. Ultimately, we really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend to anyone visiting the area!

A very nice apartment for staying in Garmisch, especially for families with kids. We did have some initial trouble getting the check in instructions from the host and with parking (small lot was full), after that it was smooth sailing.

This was a large apartment in a good location. There is a grocery, bakery, and bus stop within about a 5 min walk. The apartment itself was clean but worn. Very little attention is given to supporting the guest experience for English only speakers with critical information such as how to operate the washing machine or access the bicycles missing. That said, the location and size of the apartment are so good that if you can look beyond the other issues (bring your own soap and toilet paper) this apartment is very nice for family groups.

Beautiful classic home with nice big windows that open and gorgeous views from the porch. The only downside was I had to fold towels and sheets that were hanging to dry when we arrived, but fixable. My only real complaint is no handle to turn on bath. A bathtub is always what I look for before renting anywhere. The bathtub is nice but you cannot turn it on.

Lovely, spacious apartment with good location and incredible mountain views. Hosts very accomodating. Only issues we encountered were a lack of hygiene products (no handsoap, shampoo, or conditioner that we could find) and all the pillows being feather (a member of our party had an allergy). Otherwise, perfect property for a week in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and surrounding areas.

As other reviewers have noted, this property is a little dated. When we checked in, it felt a little bit like walking into my great-grandma's house when I was a child, as many of the furnishings and dishes, etc., reminded me of the 1980s/90s. But, it really kind of added to the charm of the place. We didn't mind it at all. We were so comfortable here. Lots of room, and a big enough kitchen to cook in. The view is incredible, and it was just a relaxing place to stay. We'd stay there again. While there, we had a few questions for the owners of the property, and they were incredibly responsive and very helpful. It was "neat as a pin" when we arrived. We felt we got great value for the price.

The unit is not hard to find using GPS. It is spacious and located so that the huge balcony looked out to the German Alps. The kitchen is well appointed and the bathroom has a tub and an enclosed shower. There is some mold in the bathroom at the intersection of the ceiling and two walls. This unit is in a great location for visiting Garmisch-Partenkirchen and other sites in the area. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Good large apartment. Enough space so we did not feel crowded. Has everything you need to enjoy a lovely holiday. Great location. The only negative was the shower was not the best as the mount on the wall did not do its job well. The decor is a bit dated, but overall highly recommend.

We enjoyed our time in GaPa, the apartment was large, check in was simple and fully self-service and the neighborhood is a quiet residential one, in easy walking distance to the pedestrian street of shops and restaurants. Also a great home base for Bavarian/Austrian day trips. The mountains are gorgeous and right outside your door. My only suggestion for improvement Is for the host to provide some instructions (like how to operate the washer-we figured it out eventually). I emailed the host that there was no letter/guest pass waiting for us, but never heard back. Maybe there was something, but we never found it. Otherwise a good stay!

This apartment is very comfortable and well equipped. Spacious living room and good size dining table. There's on-site parking for one car. And it's walking distance to the town center. The views are magnificent! The owners were helpful in all ways. Highly recommend -- we'd go back!

We loved our stay in Garmisch. The apartment was in a perfect location and very comfortable. We could walk into town easily. The view from the deck was incredible and we enjoyed our coffee in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening looking at that view. The apartment had everything we needed except air conditioning (which most places in Germany do not have). We did find a fan our last night which helped. Thanks for a fabulous stay!

Our two boys agreed that this was the most wonderful place we stayed as a family during our trip to Germany. The flat is in a chalet with a huge Pritchett for sitting and viewing the Alps. It was gorgeous and quiet. Inside was very comfortable with beds for everyone and a huge living space for hanging out or playing games. We would highly recommend this place.

It is a beautiful area. The apartment was adequate fro 5 people. There was a washing machine connected to the bathroom sink. No dryer. There was only one BR. Hot water was not quite warm. Kitchen, dining area are good. No Freezer, only the refrigerator. Beds were comfortable.Living room is large and very nice. Enjoyed the fantastic view from balcony. we really enjoyed walking through the town. it is very clean no trash on the street. Overall it was a very good stay.

We stayed here for 3 nights on a road trip through Germany. The apartment was easy to find, and we were able to park right in front of the garage. Our family of 4 had plenty of space. The kitchen was well appointed, and the grocery store is just around the corner. We mainly got breakfast items because there were so many good restaurants in the area to choose from for dinner. The views are gorgeous from every side! The neighborhood is quiet. We loved everything about our stay here!

This was my first time using HomeAway and it was a great experience! This flat was perfect for our family stay (4 adults and a baby). The flat was spacious and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again. This was in a great location and very easy to get to. Easy parking as there is a garage to park in front of. Great views from every room in the flat! I would recommend staying here.

We absolutely loved the apartment and would definitely choose it again for accommodation in Garmisch. There was plenty of room for my entire family and then some. The balcony wad quite large and enjoyable, the views were amazing. The Gert's were very responsive to my questions. I highly recommend!

Die Sauberkeit lässt zu wünschen übrig. Die Fenster klemmen beim schließen und sind nicht geputzt. Außerdem ist das Isolierglas"blind" und hat Feuchtigkeit gesaugt. Die ganze WE ist veraltet und unbedingt renovierungsbedürftig.

Bei Ankunft war aufgrund von Schneebergen keine Parkmöglichkeit vorhanden. Habe selbst den Schnee beseitigt und vom Vermieter 50€ erstattet bekommen. Die Wohnung im Obergeschoss eines 2-Familienhauses war klamm und nicht auf eine angenehme Raumtemperatur zu bringen, die EG-Wohnung war nicht bewohnt. Teilweise lösten sich die Tapeten von den Wänden. Insgesamt machte die Wohnung einen schmuddeligen Eindruck, zwar nicht schmutzig (außer das Treppenhaus) aber unaufgeräumt und alt. Es fehlt offensichtlich eine Vor-Ort-Betreuung der Wohnung.
