A great few days away, in a beautiful part of the country

A great stay in a modern, comfortable, built for purpose unit where the owner had supplied everything that was needed.

An absolutely beautiful location and a immaculate accommodation. Nikki and Kevin were incredibly friendly and helpful during our stay. I would love to come back one day. The most peaceful break I've had in ages, so quiet and relaxing.

Great long weekend away. Comfortable stay

The location was good. Host was lovely. Very quiet. Shower was great. Was left breakfast stuff by the host.

The sofa bed wasn’t the comfiest. The hot tap wasn’t really working for washing up.

It was ideal for what i wanted, in that it was close and comfortable to what i was doing.

The location was very good, just outside Ilfracombe on a quiet residential street. It was private accommodation at the rear of the owners house. It was clean and well decorated. It was easy and convenient.

The breakfast was acceptable in that it was 4 pieces of white bread and 2 croissants, plus a limited choice of cereals. That had to last 2 days. The TV reception was poor so unable to watch television.

Exceptional

Everything about Ms Nicola's place is just mesmerising. Starting from the entrance all the way up to the terraced bedroom. She takes extra care in providing even the tiniest details of hospitality. The place is in such an excellent location that it is of an easy reach to all the city's attractions. She made sure our stay is memorable and it indeed was I can't recommend her enough ❤️

The bed was super comfy, good space, accomodating hosts allowing us to park for longer, so we could enjoy more of what the town had to offer.

Sore neck from bed, didn’t enjoy stay

The property is certainly more spacious than a hotel room and it’s clean. We only spoke to one of the hosts but they were friendly and asked us to let us know if they could do anything which was well received. All the breakfast items were nice and well considered.

Unfortunately I’ve still got a sore neck over a week after our stay; the mattress had a fairly big dip in and pillows were not supportive. This gave me a completely stiff neck over my birthday weekend so certainly made the stay less enjoyable. I did ask for former pillows the next evening but the damage had already been done. A few of other things that weren’t great: - Strange hot water contraption for hot water in the sink in the bathroom - Cold water tap is an auto off tap which is pretty hard to press on and is loud each time. - The apartment is in the owners back garden, so we did feel a little trapped out the back of someone’s house. - No main sink for washing up, bathroom sink too small for washing up. - No freezer in the fridge that’s in the room.

What can I say? Outstanding comes to mind, but I don't think that quite cuts it. We were made to feel very welcome and our very friendly hosts went to great lengths to make sure our stay was enjoyed. The room was immaculate, well decorated and spacious. I can't rave about this place enough. Thank you so much. When we come back to Ilfracombe we won't stay anywhere else.

The property was situated on its on with nice outside seating very private ! The room was very large and so clean nice little touches were left to make our stay special a massive thankyou to Nicki her and her husband were lovely we would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Devon .

A fantastic place to stay, just as described!

Had everything we needed as a base exploring Devon as a mum with 16 and 11 year old boys! Fab little touches, loved all the Buddha’s, beautiful decor and unexpected extras such as an airer (v handy after beach!), fresh water, loo rolls, towels and toiletries 😊 Breakfast was well thought out and an added bonus! Loved the outside area too, great to relax and enjoy a morning coffee or glass of wine in the evening

Ideally located and comfortable holiday home! With great hosts!

The little extras were a nice surprise things like extra toilet roll, body wash and the slippers! Loved it and the breakfast was spot on too! My daughter was excited for the mini cereals and the extras that were included for her! Lot of thought went in to making our stay comfortable which was great!

We had everything we needed and the hosts made it clear if we needed anything else they’d sort it so couldn’t ask for more than that x

Convenient and comfortable but no proper breakfast.

Comfortable room, bed a bit bouncy, Help from Kevin handling our luggage and taking us to the Lundy Island ferry in the morning.

This is really a Bed & not a real breakfast. It's put in the room before arrival and consists of a packet of cereal (not one of our choice), good bread, milk, butter and a selection of jams, etc, two croissants filled with chocolate (not to our taste at all), powder coffee but no eggs, bacon, etc and therefore not our idea of a B&B.

Peaceful, relaxing holiday in Ilfracombe

Nicola and Kev were lovely and very welcoming. The accommodation is completely detached, with its own outdoor area and seating. It is all so quiet and relaxing. Taxis back from town cost between £3.50 and £5 depending where you're coming back from.

Ilfracombe is much hillier than I had realised. 11 minute down hill walk to town. Would have taken a lot longer to walk back. Most restaurants have been fully booked for months.
