Brilliant location for walking the costal path and access into town. Really friendly and helpful owners. Lovely breakfast and room.
Car park isn’t the easiest to use if you have a big car, but we managed and also plenty of roadside parking. Would have liked a view from the room, but view from the breakfast room was amazing!

The house was warm and beautiful and very conveniently located to walk into Ilfracombe. The room we had was perfect as it had a curtain to separate the kids beds and our bed-almost like two separate rooms. The PlayStation was a fantastic surprise for the kids! Another fantastic addition was Brisket the dog. The kids absolutely loved playing with him. We felt very welcomed and there were lots of personal touches that made this a very special stay. Fantastic, knowledgeable hosts, fantastic breakfast and all round great holiday.

Good location in that it was very close to Central Ilfracombe, but in a Quiet, leafy tranquil area.

Freshly cooked breakfast was superb. Adam and Paula are excellent hosts ,welcoming us into their beautiful house and knowledgable about the local area with recommendations for things to do and places to eat and drink. Our room was spacious and well equipped.
We had the top floor room and as a consequence the water pressure for the shower was a little low . Other than that everything was superb.

Accommodation was excellent. Very clean and comfortable, hosts were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was cooked to order with excellent local produce. The views from the property were spectacular. Convenient distance from the town centre to be able to walk.
Drive and car park were a bit tight. There was no handle on the inside of the bathroom door which made closing it problematic.

We’ve just returned from the most wonderful stay at this boujee, quirky gem of a B&B in Ilfracombe, and already can’t wait to go back. The house itself is full of charm and character, with a peaceful, quiet atmosphere that makes it perfect for a relaxing getaway. One of our favourite features was the beautiful back garden – from there, you head up and out through a lovely wooded area, which leads you straight onto the stunning coastal paths with gorgeous sea views. It felt like our own little secret route to the cliffs!
Our family room was spacious, with plenty of storage, and the beds were incredibly comfortable – we all slept so well. (The PlayStation was a bonus for the kids when winding down in the evenings). It had a modern ensuite with a shower, but there was also access to a shared bathroom with a bath, which was perfect for the kids to have a relaxing soak in the evenings.
The location is ideal: peaceful, yet just a short walk into the town, where you’ll find lovely tea rooms, shops, an arcade and even options for boat cruises and other coastal adventures.
What really made our stay so special were the hosts, Adam and Paula. They were absolutely lovely – so welcoming, knowledgeable, and happy to recommend the best local spots to eat, visit, and explore. Their warmth and friendliness made it feel like we were staying with family. The kids especially loved meeting Brisket the dog!
Breakfasts were a real highlight: freshly cooked each morning using delicious locally sourced ingredients, and made exactly to your liking. It was far beyond what you’d expect from a typical B&B – truly five-star quality.
There were also some lovely extras that made all the difference – easy parking, access to a cosy lounge and games room, and just a general sense of being truly looked after. It’s the kind of place that makes you appreciate the personal touches and warmth you simply don’t get with chain hotels.
Highly, highly recommended – a memorable stay in every way.
There’s absolutely nothing not to like, it’s a fantastic place to stay and I highly recommend it, hope to come back again with my family again soon

A lovely Victorian property.Well maintained and friendly staff.Nothing was too much trouble.
It’s situated on a hillside which we didn’t know when booking. So it’s not suitable for people with walking difficulties. The parking is a bit tight especially when other people take up too much space. This happened with 2 seperate vehicles. One of which made it impossible to turn the car around and it’s very difficult to reverse up or down the drive as it’s very steep.

The ambience, location and comfort . The bedroom was an excellent size, well equipped, well ventilated with an outstanding bed. Excellent cooked breakfast to order. Adam and Paula are perfect hosts, and Geraldine a pleasure to meet. Great night's sleep and great advice on the area. Felt immediately at home.
Nothing about the accommodation, but the steep drive and tight parking are a bit daunting.

Amazing breakfast! Paula and Adam are the best hosts I’ve come across. Friendly, knowledgeable, trying to make your stay as good as possible without being overbearing in any way. One of the best places we’ve ever stayed at.
Not much to say here.

Very light and airy Victorian house of generous proportions. I love the couples stylish theme which adds a pop of colour.
We love older, character rich homes and this didn’t disappoint. In our room, I didn’t wish to watch the tv but just to look out at the fabulous views of Ilfracombe. Great cooked breakfast choices or fresh fruit, yoghurt and muesli if you prefer, or both!

Paula and Adam made us feel so welcome, nothing was too much trouble, spotlessly clean throughout, more than happy to provide information on the local area and gave us an excellent recommendation for a place to eat. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

The hotel is a beautiful listed building with views to the sea, depending on which room.Excellent breakfast. Very welcoming and friendly hosts with lots of useful local information. Parking onsite may be a problem for a large vehicle but there is plenty of on street parking as the hotel is on the edge of town.
It's quite a way out of town on a long hill so either be fit or get a taxi!

We loved the warm and friendly welcome, the bright and quirky decor and the sound of the birds chirping as our room backed into the trees.
We were both gluten free and easily catered for breakfast which was yummy!
Nothing, apart from next time we’d love to visit when we are not working so we can enjoy some coastal walks which you can access directly from the property.

The owners were great . The breakfast was fantastic . The proximity to the coastal path was perfect for us. Easily accessible to and from other areas of north Devon. Bed was large and comfortable. Nice to have bottled water in the room .
The onsite parking was tight to negotiate. There was no storage for clothing in the room other than a few hangers on hooks. The shower could have been a bit better.

Character building.
Lovely breakfast.
Warm and welcoming host who gave us tips on places to visit in the local area.
The car park is a little tricky to park in given it’s on a hill and we arrived in the pouring rain. But the host helped us out with this.

The B&B was ideally located, with superb views and a close walk to the harbour and centre. There is plenty of parking onsite. We stayed in room 8, which was very peaceful, quiet and roomy. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, using the best ingredients! The highlight about this fantastic B&B though has to be the hosts, who simply are the best hosts we have ever had in any of the many B&Bs we have stayed in. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They were polite, knowledgeable, very amiable and a complete delight to be with. They were so welcoming and we were thoroughly spoilt.
Everything was excellent and we were completely happy with every aspect of our stay.
