The Kite, Upper Torrs View

I loved that The Kite (or TK as we now like to affectionately refer to her as) completely stole our hearts. From the moment we arrived, we fell in love with her ( we know she's a she because the wonderful hosts, Jane & Noel told us) A heartwarming story of how TK was built. A wonderful zen feeling around the gardens of The Kite. Icing on the cake was the wonderful view of the sea and Torrs View. Everything was more than we expected. Jane & Noel have ensured that everything you need is right there. We knew when we got there that we would want to stay in as much as possible in this beautiful home, so apart from getting food shopping in and a night out at The Thatch Inn (5 mins drive and a really beautiful pub. Excellent food and very friendly staff) and a few morning trips out, we did exactly that. Barely left The Kite. It was our first time at The Kite and most definitely won't be the last. We had amazing weather when we were there but I can't wait to go when it's stormy/snowy weather too. I can only imagine the sight from those windows. Thank you Jane & Noel for bringing The Kite to us. We look forward to seeing you again ❤️

Everything was great!

A fabulously designed property that is dramatic (in a good way) but also comfortable, practical, clean and quiet. Friendly and helpful hosts who live next door but do not interfere in any way. A generous welcome pack. Private parking is provided immediately outside the property, and from the property there is good access to this part of North Devon

The step access to the property won't suit the infirm, but if that isn't an issue it gives a property with great views over the town. Realistically you need to drive into Ilfracombe itself (which has some great restaurants) as the walk back uphill is demanding!
