Beautiful property — tranquil and private, away from the hustle and bustle of the city but close enough to get to everything you want to do. Our Villa was wonderful and perfect! The host was amazing and very helpful with finding and organizing things we needed and wanted to do. The staff was quick to respond to any question we had. The host has her lovely family living close by and they were all super friendly! We ended up extending our stay 3 times because we loved the property and the hosts! Highly recommend!

Great for quick over night stay

Me and my friends arrived very late in the evening, so I didn't see the whole surrounding of the lodge. The bathroom however, was amazing, being outside of the room. It's feels like really being far away from the city. The connection to the internet was good. Great communication with the owner.

The bed is a bit un-comfy, the mosquito net is un-balance, it annoys me that I nearly re-arranged the net, but it's stuck quite high to the ceiling, and there's no slippers in the room, so I have to use my shoes walking around, being it's tile floor and cold.

Beautiful and calm place !!

This place is by far worth your money. Beautiful place with a nice private atmosphere from the hectic ubud. Staff was amazing, so so helpful and kind. Nice and clean. Would without a doubt come back again!!!!

Unique property

Unique property with outdoor bathroom and nice cottages. Nice restaurant close by that served breakfast and dinner.

We were not able to relax while at the property as there were several children running, playing, crying, etc. We appreciated that this is a family friendly property, but there was no way to minimize the sound so we were unable to rest during that time. Luckily this did not occur at nighttime.

Pleasant

The garden area surrounding the bungalows were really lush and beautiful. Mostly quiet and very peaceful location. The pool was super deep - small but very clean and well kept

my friends room had very damp sheets which couldn't be dried due to the humidity in the room. Our bathroom was lovely but unfortunately the water drained very easily from the tub so we couldn't really use it We arrived late (11.30pm) but I did let the reception know. However when we arrived it took a long time to find anyone/contact anyone to check in. The breakfast was also not good at all - we only had it one day for that reason. The fruit had been cut on a vegetable board we think because it all tasted of onions. Generally it was pleasant and okay stay - but a slightly strange atmosphere after the confusing checkin It should be said the staff were all very nice and friendly in the morning

Gorgeous and very peaceful

The place was absolutely beautiful and very peaceful, and the staff were lovely and so helpful :) A big thank you in particular to Tina and Kadek, we would definitely come back here if we visit Bali again.

The place was extremely dirty, the sheets were soiled and oily full of suspicious stains . The place had water damage which leaked on the electricals not safe at all. We didn’t complete our stay. The staff claimed they had never had an issue before but after reading the reviews we realised this was not truthful.

Place was beautiful and it's 5km from ubud centre but it's most awesome place for stay. Worth for the money 💰 and hosts were friendly and they help you with all requirements.. Staffs are good and Breakfast is decent. Kadek made good food for us. Rooms and Ambience were neat and clean.

Go and be amazed.

The owners were passionate, but relatable. They were helpful to the fullest possible extent. Tina our hostess organised a friendly affordable driver who was on time. The food was amazingly prepared and when we decided to eat out or be out, she gave an objective and detailed description of the locations. We'd like to say a special thanks to the team at Alus Cottage. The place is outstandingly beautiful (you really caught us off guard with its beauty), your hospitality style looked seamless in its application. Bravo.

The place to stay if You are looking for real Bali experience!

We absolutely loved this place! Traditional place, calm and quiet neighbour, not far from the city centre. The rooms - small seperated Bali’s houses with privat bathroom (by the way bathrooms under the slightly open sky). I absolutely loved the garden and all the environment. They have scooters for rent, so it is easy to reach every place You want or visit Ubud centre (it’s just 7min from there!). Around the neigjbour there are fruit markets, Warungs to eat and ither activities. By the way, higly recommend their neighbours Warrung for dinner, was amazed how good the food is! All in all, If You are looking for something more than hotel experience - this is it. I hope we will come back in Bali one day and will absolutely stay in this place. P.s., biggest thanks for Kadek, he made us feel so welcome 🤍

Nice and Short

I enjoyed that they offered the flower baths for a charge. Bathrooms was a nice touch. The staff was attentive and pleasant.

Since the bathroom is partly open the towels never dried and actually started to smell. They have construction happening in the back which can be loud because the noise comes in through the open bathroom. Breakfast is okay.

We would not recommend this property unless action is taken to improve it.

Unfortunately the pictures and reviews did not match the reality. It was cheap but we still expected the rooms to be clean and comfortable. There were cockroaches dropping from the mosquito net onto the bed. The floors, mosquito nets and furniture were covered with ants. The mosquito nets were dirty and had holes in. The bedding was stained. We did not complete our stay.

The staff were so helpful and friendly. The place, room and pool were so well kept and beautiful. The room was so clean and spacious. Very comfortable and cozy. Breakfast also delicious. It was so worthy the stay. I recommended if you want to scape a bit from city centre

The only problem about the stay was the distance from city centre (you need a scooter) and the construction beside the cottage (they started to make a lot of noise from 7am to 9pm) but this is not their fault absolutely.
