The hosts were delightful. They live nearby, so I saw them quite often during my month-long stay. The place was exactly what my project partner and I needed to complete a piece of research we conducted in Venetican libraries. The kitchen is quirky, but we made some excellent meals there. We loved the neighborhood, including the nearby enoteca (where you can take an empty water bottle and have them fill it with wine for 2.70 Euro). The place has good air conditioning. And we liked the homey lived-in feeling, with some antique furniture, which was a lovely departure from most generic/corporate rentals that are furnished with Ikea crap. We loved the materials (carved wood, marble), got to know some of the neighbors in Piazza S Lorenzo and their dogs, and even shared some meals with them.

I'm not a fan of teflon pans, but nearly every rental has them. I bring my own ceramic pans.

Their customer service is very good, Tania, the host, can always help me with everything. The location is great, located in some quiet neighborhood but not far away from viewpoints surrounded by many helpful facilities, like local restaurants, supermarkets and coffee shops…. The space of this apartment is just the size you need……
