A perfect place from which to explore Bourges.

We love the location and the spacious rooms. Lovely view over the courtyard and cathedral towers. We also love the privacy and quiet and the timeless feeling. It was our 3rd stay and if we ever come back to Bourges we will hope to stay here!

Intersting historical stopover in Bourges 🧐

This is an interesting historical building in the centre of Bourges close to the cathedral and restaurants / bars. The suite we had (Mr. l’Abbye) was spacious and clean with everything you need including a small coin cuisine.

The soundproofing is poor so you can hear any movement in the adjoining apartments and hallway. Privacy was a small problem as the bathroom opens onto the lounge where there are no curtains at the window opposite which is overlooked. Parking access is not for the faint hearted but we managed to get our mini van in and out without too many problems, however the instructions including a video link on how to find the parking where very helpful 👍

Non-existent owner means if there are any problems you are on your own.

Convenient location in centre of Bourges

On return from dinner yale-type key wouldn't unlock apartment. Despite providing a contact number and saying 'available next door' the owner never answered any of 12 telephone calls or responded to messages or emails. The 'Hotel' appears to have shut down. Left us in a very difficult situation unable to access our room late in the evening or contact anybody to help. We still haven't heard from the owner, several days later.

A cosy warm appartment on a cold weekend

In the centre of Bourges a great location for walking around the city, a cold snowy weekend and time spent the appartment was not wasted. Beautiful independant lodgings with parking, at an affordable price

Lovely old place - much character.

Bit mean to moan but had a bit of a struggle with accessing the car park - first of all it is SUPER narrow and our large car was a squeeze (never designed for cars back in the day!) - also there was a small hiccup withe the access code email but the guy who answered sorted all that - my only suggestion is get all this sorted prior to arrival to avoid stress.

Central and comfortable overnight stop!

The microwave and kettle were very useful. Having a separate living room/kitchenette area gave a very airy feel and was very comfortable. The huge TV was a bonus for catching up with Rygby 2023!!

A full-length mirror would be an advantage. The parking would cost an extra 15euro if availing of the onsite facility. Also to be noted, the gateway into this parking area wouldn't suit every size of vehicle. We found parking on the street, around the corner - a fortunate tip from other residents- which was free until 9am the following morning.

Great location, but the self-catering aspects of the appartment need a rethink. Beware of parking

The location is excellent. Only 5 minutes walk from the cathedral or old town. The property had lots of character, in nice surroundings. The local area is very quiet.

The kitchen area is very inadequate. Very small, no where to put dishes to drain and no lighting to see what you were doing. The parquet flooring is the squeekiest flooring I have ever heard. I'm so pleased I was in an upstairs appartment. The property only mentioned after the booking, that the entrance way to the carpark is only just over 2m wide. With my mirrors folded, there would only have been a few cm clearance, and the passageway is approximately 25m long. I wasn't willing to risk scratching the car, so opted not to use the car park. This then led to the next issue. Where to unload your luggage. I caused chaos by pulling the car up outside the entrance, resulting in lots of horn honking from very impatient locals. The streets are very narrow.

Comfortable stay in the old town

The location was excellent. The room was also beautifully decorated with old pieces of furniture, you can really feel the history there. Beds were comfortable and the little kitchen was just enough to cook a simple dinner for two.

A few too many private messages related to the checking process, it would be good to have everything a bit shorter and preferably in one message.

What a marvelous stay this was

The hotel is very well situated in the historical center of bourgeois. The hotel of the 12th century is restored in good tast and our room on the top floor was marvelous. Nearly like a cosy and small catedral with the original wooden beams in sight. The staff is very friendly and helpful. All in all this is the place to stay in Bourges.

Fabulous character hotel in the old town

The hotel is in a fabulous old building, extremely close to the cathedral and in the old town. Our room was on the second floor and had so much character, including a sloping wooden floor. The decor includes antique pieces and artwork. It was very atmospheric. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The room was also very large. We loved it. The parking is tight entering, but there are clear instructions, and once inside, parking and entry are easy.

Wonderfull town but very average hotel

Very central, beautiful town and nice history of the hotel was interesting but the quality of renovation was only ok

On arrival we were told we had been upgraded... The parking was so difficult to get to and with a big car it was only just possible. The upgraded room had noisy reversible air conditioning the coffee machine would not work, the floorboards in places made it impossible to walk without shoes for fear of catching your feet on nails and boards. The place was not clean and the shower was really dirty. The lighting was dim and poor and no real mirror for dressing in. We did not complain as it was already annoying and it was only for one night. I liked the building and it's history but the renovation was poor for the price. I alway try to be positive about our trips but I am failing this time sorry.

I liked the old style. We got a free upgrade to a more luxurious room.

The floor was making a lot of noise and the bedroom was the first room you would enter and the door was not blocking noise from the staircase. We woke up a few times due to people entering or leaving the building.

We received a call during the day to say we could check into the room and confirming that we had received the email with the door code. The instructions for entry were great and the room and the property itself is beautiful. We didn't meet any of the staff, but had everything that we needed, so had no need.
