Easily the best stay on our trip!

This B&B is a small beautiful building with garden inside and only a few guest rooms. The atmosphere felt relaxed, cozy and personal. Our room was spacious and comfortable, tastefully arranged and sparkling clean. The owners were sweet and have incredible attention to detail- everything was very thought through, from the little things in our room to the home made breakfast. The place is on the edge of the historical city centre, and all the main attractions are a short walk away. Do not hesitate to book!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (15/10) If you’re in Puebla, you absolutely must stay here! The hotel is a short walk from the city center, but it’s truly a hidden gem — absolutely stunning in every detail. The rooms are beautifully and tastefully designed, with every element carefully thought out. The owners are the most charming and welcoming people, and the breakfasts (and the way they’re served!) are simply delicious. If you’re looking for a completely different kind of stay — a peaceful oasis in the middle of busy Puebla — this is the place to be.

Enter through the front doors, greeted by our hosts (in English) it felt like home 💕 Ambience of plants, background music, light, comfortable seating placed throughout. My room boasted function, tranquility and comfort. Highlight was the attention to detail ‘baroque’ breakfast table setting and amazing home cooked breakfast that kept us going until late afternoon.

Insult to write anything here. This stay was beyond exquisite with our hosts and I guarantee anyone who stays gets the same superior treatment.

The property is beautiful. We had a table for two each morning, on an outside terrace complete with soft music and a water feature. Everything we ate was delicious. The hostess is a great cook and both of them strive to make your stay memorable. This will be our home away from home when we return to Puebla. If you need a romantic getaway, or simply a place to unwind in Puebla , this is the place! Conveniently located to the historic downtown. Wonderful restaurants within walking distance. You won’t be disappointed if you stay at Luma B&B.

I absolutely loved the location – it’s a beautiful and peaceful place, perfect for relaxing and enjoying nature. The hosts were truly exceptional: incredibly kind, welcoming, and always attentive to anything we needed. They made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Feels like home

We had an exception stay at the beautifully designed Luma B&B! The breakfasts included ingredients and recipes local to the region and were clearly made with love. The location was next to the old town which is the most walkable part of the city. My sister and I have both stayed with Luma and would stay again when we are back in Puebla.

Wonderful B&B, feeling at home with exceptional hosts

We had a wonderful stay at Luis and Malu's place. They made us feel right at home. Attention to detail is their specialty, highlighted by a superb and hearty homemade breakfast. We had the pleasure of tasting local specialties such as tamales and huitlacoche. The rooms and the hotel are decorated with great care and taste, with every detail thoughtfully considered—even the soaps are homemade. We will definitely be back! The beds are very comfortable.

I cannot recommend Luma B&B highly enough! It’s a wonderful B&B–Luis and Malu are exceptional hosts, the rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated, the breakfasts were excellent and photo worthy. We got to try cuitlacoche as part of one of the breakfasts, which was great. All breakfasts had coffee/tea/chocolate drink or water, perfectly ripened fruits with yogurt, granola, and honey, and toast with different jams. The settings for eating were pretty and relaxing; a wonderful way to start your day. We walked to downtown with ease. Luma is honestly an oasis in Puebla. I'd return in a heartbeat.

Hidden gem in the downtown Puebla

Very nice and spacious room decorated with great care and detail, giving a feel of a luxury home. The breakfast was amazing, served on one of the small terraces that the house has, surrounded by plants. As this is a classic old townhouse in the heart of Puebla. The owners made sure we had everything we needed and they were very nice and accommodating. In fact, our breakfast was adjusted to vegan menu based on our food preference. And, it was delicious! The bathroom is very well equipped with soaps and other amenities, and offers a great shower which is like a waterfall. We also enjoyed sitting in the patio at night, again, surrounded by plants and candles.

The street at night feels a bit eery and empty, this part of town is more commercial than other streets closer to the main plaza. But, we could park or car in the garage and it was alright and safe.

A magnificent experience

Sumptuous, elegant bed and breakfast with kind and solicitous hosts who have attended thoughtfully to every detail, furnishing the rooms and communal spaces with all kinds of whimsical antiques and other exquisite objects. The courtyard is a wonderland of potted plants. Breakfast is prepared to order, served on a gorgeously set table, and features fruit, toast and interesting jams, and a delightful cooked dish. Everything was immaculately clean. The extremely comfortable beds have the kind of elegant crisp bedlinen you dream about. The bathroom has a luxurious walk-in shower with powerful hot water and even bathrobes. At night the place was blissfully quiet. Luis gave excellent sightseeing advice.

A magical stay in Puebla

Such a wonderful experience. As soon as we stepped through the big front door we were transported into a magical place with a gorgeous Pueblan courtyard. Our cozy apartment was so comfortable and was cleaned daily, with multiple glass bottles of filtered water provided. The very best part of our stay, however, was the opportunity to talk with Luis and Malu during our delicious breakfast! Our table was set up so beautifully, we felt like we were in a fairy tale. And the food was amazing, unlike anything we have ever had at a b&b!! Thank you, Malu and Luis ❣️

Extraordinary place with beautiful rooms and an abundant, delicious breakfast.

Luma was a highlight of my trip to Puebla. The hosts made me feel so comfortable and set a beautiful table for me each morning in the courtyard for breakfast. The food was incredible- strong coffee, fresh bread with homemade jams, local fruit, yoghurt and granola with honey and best of all traditional dishes for me to try including a fermented corn omelette and savory tortillas with mushrooms. The hosts respected my privacy but were totally available with suggestions and the room was huge with wonderful toiletry products and attention to detail in every corner. I highly recommend this place.

One of our greatest accomodations in Mexico

We had the most extraordinary stay with Malu and Luis. Every detail was perfect and we especially enjoyed the breakfast in the romantic patio. As we arrived property doesn’t have a sign so we were a little hesitant to knock on the door. But let me tell you after we came in and talked to the owners we had a pleasant welcome as we looked around the place the details of everything the room, the patio plants all over, during breakfast the table set up has some beautiful details with our name tags even though it was a private table. Breakfast was delicious. Had something different every day the jelly was home made also very tasty. The owner took care of us and they make you feel like family!! I would stay here again 100% and of course I would recommend this place to anyone!!

A unique stay with beautiful hosts and the best B&b brekkie ever

We visited Puebla overnight between CDMX and Oaxaca, and wow, we are so glad we stopped for a night at this place. The hosts were phenomenal and the care and effort they put into running this B&b is exactly the sort of experience we look for when travelling. This place felt like a warm hug. The room was beautiful with little touches like handmade soaps in the shower; and the breakfast on the patio courtyard was a 3 course feast! They went above and beyond to help us celebrate a special occasion and provided amazing tips for restaurants and things to see and do in Puebla and Cholula.

Beautifully detailed, incredibly charming, small colonial-style bed & breakfast with the most delightful, warm, thoughtful and accommodating husband and wife owners who personally attended to each and every aspect of our stay. A different gourmet breakfast, beautifully presented, is offered at a different space each morning. Rooms are gorgeous, opening onto an interior lush courtyard. The 20 minute walk (or the inexpensive Uber ride) to the historic center is well worth the experience. We stayed for three nights before continuing on to Tehuácan and hope to return.

A superb choice in Puebla

Amazing, wonderful, gracious caring hosts. Fantastic breakfast in their own formal dining room. It is located in a 1890's house with a large courtyard, sealed off from the noise of the street outside. A beautiful place.

The smallest room was too small for two people, but others we saw are quite large.

A tranquil and very welcoming B&B with a hearty Mexican breakfast in the morning!

We were hosted wonderfully at Luma B&B, each morning we had a beautifully presented breakfast with different types of Mexican food on mad sets of crockery, along with lots of great suggestions on where to visit that day. Malu and Luis were so friendly and welcoming and we absolutely loved our stay.

I don't think there was much to improve really - the location was good - a short walk into town, the room was clean and well kept, and we felt really, really welcomed :)

From the ambiance to the dishes, the breakfasts we had were amazing. They were very elegant and we were treated with incredible and warm hospitality. Truly exceptional!

Luis and Malu were wonderful, warm and welcoming hosts. They gave us plenty of information about visiting Izta-Popo and things to do in Puebla, and we enjoyed our conversations with them, especially during breakfast. The breakfast each day was absolutely delicious; Malu made us typical Poblano dishes and very kindly shared some of her mother's recipes with me. The room was clean and comfortable, and the B&B was conveniently located, quite close to the main plaza. We look forward to going back :)

Highly recommend B&B with exceptional hosts and outstanding breakfast!

We highly recommend staying at Luma B&B while being in Puebla! This was one of the two accommodations we liked the most during our 6 weeks overall stay in Mexico. We liked everything about it: (1) the spacious, thoughtfully decorated, cozy and quiet maisonette apartment with great facilities and probably the best shower of our trip, (2) all the beautiful other areas of Luma B&B - including the leafy courtyard and the breakfast areas - we had a different breakfast location for each of our three mornings. But next to this already exceptional features, our two highlights were our hosts Malu and Luis, that were the kindest and most friendliest hosts we met. They are both very charming and you can easily tell that they love to welcome and get to know their guests. We do not need any more reasons to come back to Puebla, Malu and Luis are certainly enough. This is especially true, as I fell sick for one night and a whole day and could not have imagined a better place to get better than Luma B&B. Malu and Luis were heartwarmingly attentive in this situation and even prepared special breakfast to not further stress my stomach (thank you!) Speaking of the breakfast, this is another true highlight of Luma B&B. It has multiple and different home-made courses each morning, starting from the jam and leading up to traditional dishes from the Puebla region. One of the reasons we travel is food and this breakfast was exceptional and could can not be highlighted enough. If you visit Puebla, you should stop at Luma B&B, it is a true gem!

This is a beautiful home with large spacious rooms, a plant-filled courtyard, and wonderful outdoor seating for breakfast. The rooms are beautifully decorated with plants, art, books, flowers and many other simple touches that make it feel like a home away from home. The rainfall shower had great pressure and plenty of hot water plus all the little extras were provided, including a full size bar of soap! The included breakfast was amazing each of the 3 mornings we stayed. The table settings were beautiful and the food was local in style and delicious. We were served a variety of fruits and then a main dish of eggs and side dishes. The hosts were wonderful; very attentive, friendly, accessible, and provided some helpful hints on places to visit and where to shop and eat.

Nothing. You do need to walk about 7 blocks to the Zocalo, but the quiet location and the splendid accommodations make it more than worthwhile.
