Overall it was very good the staff was very friendly and kind.

I love the kitchen very spacious, loved the rooms as well very spacious and conformable. Everything so conveniently close (walking distance) to the Center of the city.

May be get a fan in the kitchen when it gets too hot. Also to make breakfast could improve in the utensils and pots are too old not good for the health. Oh I like the bathrooms as well only there was always a smell; that could improve by removing the garbage more often from the each toile room.

Good location, close to the main attractions and coffee shops. Bed was confortable but not the pillows.

They are going through renovations so there’s workers around the whole day and dust and noise going all day. Expect noise coming in from the streets due to traffic and cars honking. Facilities are dirty, bathrooms especially, those need a good deep clean, bedsheets and towels were stained too. There’s no tea towels or kitchen roll to even dry your hands or wipe the sides after cooking.

Amazing value for money!

Great hostel in the heart of Puebla. Comfortable rooms with loads of space. Nice bathrooms, good WiFi. Only thing that could be better are lockers in the room and the stove in the kitchen. Just a small improvement but didint influence quality if my stay. Loved the place and feel very comfy here

The kitchen and dining area are good, and kept clean.

I paid my money (cash) to Mauricio, on each of the several times that I stayed at this hostel (during 8 months that I was in Puebla), and I didn't ever get a receipt for any payment that I made. Mauricio is the cleaner who also collects the money from the guests if the owner is not present (and I only ever saw the owner once, during my several stays). So, effectively, Mauricio manages everything, although he doesn't sit in the office: he is always doing cleaning jobs. After I left Hostal Casa de Arcos, I had a really shocking experience as a result of not requesting a receipt from Mauricio, every time I paid him. I made a booking at another hostel (Casa Azul Centro) for a week, and I had requested (as a note on booking.com) to pay at the end of the week because I had been robbed (lost cash, my Visa card, and my mobile phone), and I was waiting for a replacement card to be sent from my bank (in Australia). However, although the owner of that hostel already knew me, from having stayed at his other 'Azul' hostel, several times, he told me to leave (one day after I had stayed for the night), if I could not pay him in cash immediately: he claimed that he had discovered (on some site where accommodation owners make reports about guests) that I had left Hostal Casa de Arcos without having paid my account. That was absolutely not true: I had paid Mauricio, in cash, for all my reservations, and for extra nights. Mauricio, in fact, insisted on carrying my luggage down the stairs when I was leaving - something he would not have done, without telling me that I owed money.

Great location. The host was very nice and let us check in late at night.

The water was cold and the shower head’s pressure was not enough to rinse yourself. Wifi was very slow. Our bedsheets were full of stains and hair.

Bedbugs. Sadly, I got badly bit. Communicated this with the manager. Bad communication, but he ended up being kind and reimbursed for my medicine. However, this kind of management and lack of proper communication (no response, late response, etc.) is unacceptable for hospitality business. Also, the rooms are not so comfortably furnished.

Best value in Puebla. Great place to stay.

I was very happy staying at this Hostel. It is one of the best places Ive stayed in Mexico. It is an old brick building that has been newly renovated. It is very clean and spacious with windows. It has a nice clean kitchen and places for eating and relaxing. The staff is friendly and helpful, always cleaning. It has a nice outdoor patio. Good wifi. Bathrooms are clean and spacious with hot water. Beds are comfortable. It is a great value and in a great location walking distance to the Zocalo.

I have no complaints.

The location was great and my private room was spacious and had good hanging space for clothes.

The reception staff were basically never there. It made it difficult to check in and I’m glad I didn’t arrive late at night as this would have been quite stressful.

If you're allergic to bedbugs , don't go to this hostal trust me. I changed beds three times still have bites . There were like 4 people who get bedbug bites. Be careful

Casa de Arcos is nice - clean, good supply of electrical outlets, hot water all the time, lockers, and washer and dryer on site.

The bed is the hardest I have experienced in 10 months of travel, and the pillow is tiny.

- the lack of personnel, there was no one there when we arrived. You have to check in on your own with limited instructions. We had to ask the other guests where the toilets and showers were, because we couldn’t find them ourselves. All in all kind of strange and not a pleasant welcoming. -The bathrooms are located at the end of an outside hallway, which is really uncomfortable during the evening/night since temperatures drop to 5-10 degrees Celsius. - the sheets had stains in them/were dirty - the toilets and bathrooms were dirty and 3 out of 4 showers did not get warm. - the rooms are extremely basic, the private room we were in had a really small bed (max 120cm), no night stands and no light lamp. But this is perhaps to be expected at this budget.

Little nice place in the center

It's a pretty place, the location was good, the room was very quiet at night. The kitchen was very comfy to cook, and it was nice to be ae to watch some TV at night.

Going out in the dark and cold to the toilet. And only one was working (in the women's bathroom). But it was just a minor inconvenience.
