Poor place to stay.

Good location.

There was no heating (in November), the room was cold. Although breakfast was advertized I did not het any. Only cold water in the showet. IT would have been better idea to pay a little more and get more fecent hotel instead.

Simple affordable place to sleep

We stayed in a private double room with private bathroom. It was a simple spot to sleep in a nice location. They do have hot showers, but the hot water is only from 7-11am and 7-11pm. They have a cute downstairs outdoor seating/lounging area.

The inside of our room was extremely simple - a little room on top of the main building up some precarious steps. The room was completely white walls with little except for a bed. It would add a lot of character to the room if they painted the walls some different colors or added a small mural I think! The bed was also very basic- kind of cheap/rough sheets .. but we slept comfortably enough and warm. The walls were thin in the private double rooms but the first night we were lucky and didnt have neighbors. Im a deep sleeper so I wasnt aware of anything the second night but my boyfriend said he could hear everything that was going on next door….

It would be fine for a night or two. It may not be for everybody. It was ok but for the comfort level of the bed.

The location was great. The staff were kind. The facility was clean. There are large lockers. There is a useable kitchen but I didn’t explore that.

The bed was uncomfortable. People smoked in the courtyard and the smell drifted into the sleeping area.

Great little hostel and bnb

Location is great, just on the edge of town but far enough to be quiet. We stayed in the double room and we think it was fairly new, as the room opposite was still under construction. It could maybe do with a bit more finishing off, but was comfortable, spacious, well ventilated. The shower was grand. Staff were helpful, and the common areas are very nice and clean, as was the room itself.

No air conditioning. The stairs up to the room were exciting, definitely not disability friendly but nothing challenging.

Cozy and cheap hostel in an amazing location close to the city centre!

The small garden makes the difference; the room was furnished enough and everything was cleaned. A lot of space in the room was appreciated! Employees helped us in finding restaurants and bar open to have dinner and the extraction of one more night was possible and easy to do. Very appreciated!

It was impossible to pay by transfer because they didn’t know the SWIFT code of their bank (A SWIFT code is an international bank code that identifies particular banks worldwide). Is good for them to know if they want to receive international transfers.

It was clean and the kitchen was big and nice and it was overall a nice place

During the night someone there stole my only pair of shoes.....Black leather loafers. The guy working there looked for them with me, and was wondering why anyone would steal shoes, which is absurd and never happens. Well I was told leather shoes can be sold for cash in the local tiendas. So I left the hostel with no shoes on...only my socks. So this hostel is in an area and has people there who will steal your things to sell for cash....aka opportourists. There are no locks in the storage area, and if you are on the top bunk bed that means your things are stored unlocked below your bunkmate on the bottom bunk. Also there are no windows in the mixed dorm, so at night it is pitch black....perfect for anyone who wants to steal your things. At the other Hostel Gente de Mas, the housecleaner tried to get 200 pesos from me, and when I was unable to do so, the next day they lied and said I needed to leave because it was completely booked, even though online it has rooms available. There are better hostels in Puebla to stay, especially if you don't want your things stolen, people staff asking you for money, and you getting kicked out the next day when you don't give them a loan. This is absolutely the worst experience I've had living in hostels. I will never live in any Hostel Gente de Mas ever again. The culture of taking, stealing, and lying is just too much there, and it's not a good feeling knowing you need to sleep with everything you have of value in the bed with you. I had my valuables in my pocket that night because I saw the type of people in my room. My shoes were on the floor, so they took my shoes. I should have slept with my shoes on I guess.

Staff were excellent. Alejandro and Alison are both great guys and more than happy to provide recommendations for local places to visit. They could not have been nicer. Location is central. The common area is nice and the facilities are clean.

The accommodation is basic and the mattress could be better but in fairness the price is very good.

The receptionists are very friendly and helpful. The hostel has a charming "patio garden". The room for 4 was very large for Mexican standards, with spatious beds. There are many showers. The location is great, walking distance to the centre and near to the colectivos to Cholula or to the main bus station. There is a kitchen with a fridge where you can cook.

It would be nice to have a piece of furniture where you can put or hang your things - a chair or table, some shelves, anything.

Quiet and large private room with private bath. Excellent staff, Allison and Miguel were friendly and very helpful. Excellent location. Kitchen and filtered water available. Keep in mind that this is primarily a youth hostel.

The room we had could be greatly improved with the addition of a small table and light, a shelf for clothes and a mounted bar for hanging clothes, and a small shelf in the bathroom.

Good budget option

The location was really good, not far from everything you could want to do in Puebla. The courtyard area and kitchen are really lovely. The staff were friendly and polite. For the cost of what you pay it was good value for money.

The bed was SO uncomfortable, we were in the upstairs room via some very steep steps with loads of building work going on. Other than the first day we were not disturbed by the building works but yeah, could definitely do with a better bed and generally some tlc on the rooms. Cracked floors, broken shower door etc. We probably would only stay again if the odd night or two because any longer our bodies can't take it 😆🤣

On the booking site, it was written “with breakfast”, but it wasn’t, they told me that was depends on the season. The kitchen items were quite old (often like that in a hostel in Mexico) a pot pan was too old so when I just boiled some water it got dark… the Teflon burned fell off so it’s not healthy.

I loved the location and the great vibe of this hostal.

My room was upstairs and quiet. The hot water in the shower was good in the evening and morning. The shared kitchen had drinking water. The bed was comfortable but simple. I enjoyed my stay. Hugo was the most friendly staff member and very helpful. The maps given to guest were also helpful. I did not stay in the dorm rooms but they were very nice.

The stairwell to the two rooms upstairs are not for the faint of heart. I did not mind but the stairs are steep and may cause some people issues. On the other hand that helps with privacy upstairs so all good in my book.

I really recommend this hostel to anyone, the place is very nice as well as the equipment and stuff who is very helpful and friendly. The location is also very good - more or less 10mins walking to the main square, a lot of local food around and buses to Cholula 5mins walking.
