This studio garage apartment was built in 2012. It has wood floors and is bright and cheery. The kitchen features a refrigerator, cook top, convection microwave and all the basic kitchen ware and dishes. The bathroom has a full bathtub and skylight. There is a queen bed with storage drawers below as well as a queen pull out couch. The location is great! You can walk or bike to Zilker Park, Barton Springs, and South Lamar. We are also close to downtown.

Located in a beautiful area in Austin, this property provides easy access to the hip South Congress area and city center. It’s a great space. Its clean, modern design is attractive, simple and comfortable. It’s very private and well appointed. The only thing lacking was some kind of home entertainment. All that was provided was a small, flat screen computer monitor with an HDMI cable attached.

Joi and her husband were extremely accommodating and friendly! The one-room open apartment is gorgeous, clean and modern. It was exactly what we needed. We were there for ACL and it was an easy walk to Zilker Park. The neighborhood was quiet and we loved all of the trees. There are also restaurants nearby. We would definitely stay here again!

We had a great stay. We were doing a lot of hiking, running, eating and exploring and honestly didn't spend a lot of time at the apartment because we were so close to a lot of great activities and restaurants. The location can't get be any better. Close to greenbelt, downtown and lamar/congress/barton springs. Apartment was very clean and roomy for a couple. Kitchen was a great addition if you are cooking there. Neighborhood is quiet and fun to walk around (cool and eclectic houses) if you like seeing the character of an area. Simple, clean and great. A couple of things you might consider, there is nowhere to hang out outside of this place, it is a garage apartment at a family home. If the weather is nice and want a porch or balcony there isn't one. Also no TV. We don't really watch tv so it was fine for us. The family home aspect made the place very quiet which is a big plus.

The location was outstanding; it is located in one of Austin's unique neighborhoods, only a short car ride to Downtown and within walking distance of some interesting bars, restaurants, and food trucks. Visited Austin for business in October 2015 and took advantage of this modern garage retreat. The Internet speed was excellent. The space was fresh sunny and just roomy enough for one or two people. The kitchen was adequately stocked for basic cooking needs. The hosts were helpful and flexible but not at all intrusive Great neighborhood for walking running and is within walking distance restaurants and park. Having another chair and perhaps a small TV might make it a bit more cozy. My stay was very pleasant though and will definitely return on another visit.

This was our first time using HomeAway and we wondered how good the place would hold up to its description and pictures. Happy to say it exceeded our expectations. Great looking and roomy (bigger than any hotel we would be staying at). On top of that, it is extremely centrally located. Went for a run by the lake a few mornings while there, especially given how close this place is to the lake. Is also right by all the places we frequent when in Austin. Will be staying there again in the future!

We stayed at Joi's apartment for two and a half weeks in February and couldn't have been happier. The space is gorgeous, pristine, bright and airy - lots of natural light and windows that open! Views of trees, beautiful sunrises, night skies. Very quiet and peaceful, at night the only sounds were of the train whistles in the distance. We cooked often in the well-appointed kitchen, which is efficiently laid out. The bar also serves as dining table and workspace. Plenty of storage space for both of us and our dog, even during our extended stay. We enjoyed walking to Chui's, El Alma, coffee shops and juice bars; around the neighborhood, to Zilker and along the lake. The pedestrian bridge across S Lamar leads directly to downtown. Joi and Garrett were very attentive and responsive without being at all intrusive. We highly recommend the apartment, it was a great refuge after a busy day out and about in Austin.
