Superb quiet location, attractive spacious and well-equipped house set in beautiful countryside. The beds were very comfortable and the living room splendid for a group of people. The two bathrooms are of very good quality and quite recent; one member of our party appreciated the bath. The kitchen is spacious; the dishwasher was a great help. The outside table on the patio outside is perfect for a group and we appreciated the sunshade over it. There was a generous number of outside chairs to sit on. Altogether the house felt very welcoming and comfortable.

Only a few niggles: not enough cutlery especially forks; the cutlery that we found was not 100% clean. The kitchen could do with a tray to carry food etc. to the outside table. The kitchen units are nearing the end of their lives. Some of the furniture and fittings are beginning to look a bit tired.

Really good facilites for a family get together with plenty of space inside and out. Warm and cosy - especially with log burner and good supply of dry wood. We enjoyed a walk across the well marked footpaths from the house. Good position between Ledbury and Hereford. Quiet and Peaceful.

It was very muddy at both the entrances to the house so tricky not to carry mud in and we didnt have a mop. Maybe a booklet explaining some of the things like TV controls and heating controls would be good and some ideas of local walks and places to eat.

Loved the setting and the wonderful homely feel. It was a great for our extended family get together. Kids loved the garden and the freedom to roam around. Paul was super helpful and communicative.

The house is ideally situated for exploring the area by car (Hereford 15-20 mins away, Leominster 25 mins, Hay-on-Wye 50 mins. There are no main roads and you are surrounded by fields, apple orchards and sheep. The house has a small library. There is outside seating and plenty of chairs. The kitchen is fully equipped. The house has a homely feel to it. The house was clean and beds comfortable, with plenty of rooms, including two bathrooms. There were lots of games and books for all ages and interests. There are DVD's for all ages. I would have been happy having more time in the house and relaxing in the surroundings.

There were a few niggles. - The step out of the door from the lounge to the garden is very deep. Elderly parents (mid 80's) found the step difficult - although there is an alternative entrance to the garden through the utility room. - We didn't find the lounge furniture very comfortable - there are three sofas but all are low and deep. Our elderly parents found it difficult transferring in and out of the sofas. - We moved a table lamp to the landing to provide a night light, so the way to the toilet in the night was lit. A night light on the landing would be useful as it is very dark at night! However, none of this spoiled our holiday and a younger family probably wouldn't notice so much.
