The house is ideally situated for exploring the area by car (Hereford 15-20 mins away, Leominster 25 mins, Hay-on-Wye 50 mins. There are no main roads and you are surrounded by fields, apple orchards and sheep. The house has a small library. There is outside seating and plenty of chairs. The kitchen is fully equipped. The house has a homely feel to it. The house was clean and beds comfortable, with plenty of rooms, including two bathrooms. There were lots of games and books for all ages and interests. There are DVD's for all ages. I would have been happy having more time in the house and relaxing in the surroundings.
There were a few niggles.
- The step out of the door from the lounge to the garden is very deep. Elderly parents (mid 80's) found the step difficult - although there is an alternative entrance to the garden through the utility room.
- We didn't find the lounge furniture very comfortable - there are three sofas but all are low and deep. Our elderly parents found it difficult transferring in and out of the sofas.
- We moved a table lamp to the landing to provide a night light, so the way to the toilet in the night was lit. A night light on the landing would be useful as it is very dark at night!
However, none of this spoiled our holiday and a younger family probably wouldn't notice so much.

Fabulous house in a beautiful, rural location. Perfect for a family get together - lots of space with everything we needed for comfort and also in the kitchen for preparing meals.
Great location in that there is plenty to do for all the family within 30 mins drive. One day was wet so we found activities in Hereford for the children, and it was great to return to the house later on, playing the board games and feeling cosy with the wood burner. We didn't have the opportunity to use the grounds, but would be great to be outside in warm weather.
Nothing.

The house was comfortable, spacious, kitchen and dining room fully equipped, beds were very comfortable, the heating was warm, even wood for the fire; absolutely perfect for our family Christmas. They even put up a real Christmas Tree for us, it was just right. Paul answered all of our queries immediately and was most helpful. The house is situated in a spacious garden with children's swings. Our 2 dogs loved the garden.

Everything provided for a toddler that made the stay easy. Having the barbecue was good too. Excellent base for family from around the country with plenty of room for everyone.
An information book giving details about the bins etc would have been useful.

Fantastic location for us - very rural - peaceful and lovely surroundings. The property was great for our stay and group. There was plenty of cooking pots, crockery and cutlery. Found some more pillows which was useful. Beautiful touch with fresh flowers from the garden placed around the house.
Would have been helpful to have how everything works book as we had to do a bit of guess work with the dishwasher!

Beautiful house set in the Herefordshire countryside. Plenty of room and a well equipped kitchen make it easy to cook in. The living room is very comfortable with a good range if DVDs available for any rainy days. We were there in the Autumn, but I can imagine the gardens are great in the Summer.
The shower downstairs is on of those with an extended screen rather than a door. We found that the floor of the bathroom got pretty wet as a result.

The house is idyllic. Garden spacious and child friendly. Wonderful character as if you are just coming to someone’s lovely home rather than a rented accommodation. Slight problem with ants but cleared. We are very much hoping to come again next year all being equal.
Ants but that’s maybe to be expected in a country location.

Lovely secluded country location with a warm family house feel.
The drinking water has to be filtered which can be a slow process.

We had a wonderful stay here at Worfield. The children absolutely loved the garden, swings and playhouse. Brilliant for the dogs with space for them to roam around. Although, just watch the sheep as they are in next door field. Our dogs luckily behaved and didn’t go looking for trouble too much. The house had everything you could want and the beds were very comfortable. It was a beautiful stay for our two families to come together and we would all come again in a heartbeat. Thank you to the owners for their brilliant communication and helpful tips too.
We would recommend doing a kayak or canoe on the river wye. We booked through Hereford kayak centre, they were great. 12 miles down river, loads of places to moor up and have picnics and they drive you back to the start at the end. We even took the dogs.
Also, Eastnor Castle (15mins down the road) was excellent for the children and very dogs friendly.
Love the Chainey and Small family.
Nothing! We loved it all.
