Been before lovely setting
We hadn’t booked dinner and we were told to go into Kelso! Ended up in the fine dining which was a little mire than we could eat. Very good and service excellent. However what hotel puts their outside guests first?

Cottage was absolutely beautiful 😍
Grounds were beautiful and hotel was beautiful.
I thought some water in the cottage would have been good and more coffee either sachets or pods.
In the bar I had to go up twice to ask for drinks and snacks, as paying for a five star experience it would have been nice to have been asked.

Food choices at breakfast were excellent. Every staff member was extremely pleasant and helpful. Bed very comfortable.
En-suite was extremely small. Only 1 person could be in it. Room was a bit small for this level of cost.

The hotel is lovely
Overpriced for what it is. Lacks any atmosphere some staff are friendly but others not.
Not offered late check out even though I had stated I had a treatment in the spa booked. Had to check out before treatment because of timings and then wasn’t allowed to use the spa because I had checked out. Tried to back track when I said I would complain. I Won’t be going back. It wouldn’t have inconvenienced anyone to allow me to use the spa and swimming pool. Very disappointed.
