Hotel looking a bit tiered as I booked through Adoda third party the room was clean but we was put in an end room with one window looking onto unkept garden.
The room itself was ok but no heating I complained to the receptionist’s and was told it was on a timer so early evening it still had not come on and the room was getting cold I went back to the receptionist and was told they would bring a portable heater.
I had to have it on all night as the room was cold through the night.
That was Monday The heating came on Wednesday night and again Thursday morning….. never came on again.
Recommend you book and make sure you get the room you want as they say because you booked through a third party the cannot change your room

We had a 3 person family room which was a bit tired (tiny tv with all cables on show, walls scuffed, dated furniture) and felt more dorm than 4 stars. Food was ok but overpriced for what it was. Enjoyed the activities (pub quiz, pool, air rifles). Good proximity to Peebles, could easily be walked. Would be lovely to sit outside in summer and enjoy the view with a drink. As with many of the reviews, junior staff were friendly and helpful. Reception bit stand-offish and not always manned.
