Such a lovely weekend.

Absolutely loved the quirkiness of this place and it offers excellent value for money. Perfect location and we had an awesome weekend. Lovely touches with the dressing gowns and treats. Thank you so much.

Not a complaint because I did see this in the reviews and in the listing but if you don’t like the smell of dogs then it is something to consider. The shower however, would put me off staying again, which is a shame because it was perfect otherwise.

Great location

Excellent location & had everything we needed for a comfy stay!

Didn't realise at the time of booking that it was dog friendly & sadly even though the apartment was clean, it did smell of dog.

Great apartment tucked away in the heart of town

We had nice welcome and guided tour by Chris the owner. The apartment is tucked away just a stones throw from shops bars and restaurants, close to seafront and pier. It was clean, comfortable and spacious. The kitchen was very well equipped to self cater if needed. It was cold weather when we stayed but the heating was excellent and cosy. We had a very enjoyable stay.

Birchwood Apartent in Llandudno very poor

It accepted pets ....but the owner Chris was very sarcastic and made assumptions about our pets on our arrival....and was even more rude and condescending on our departure.

Owner Chris was very rude.....made comments and assumptions about the dogs ,when he didn't even know them ,on our arrival. Unfortunately we were delayed by 5 mins on departing and Chris made his feelings very clear about this by being very rude and sarcastic to me.. He wrongly assumed that a small piece of faeces in the back yard was from our dogs ..when in fact it was already there lodged under the step when we arrived and had been dislodged when we arrived back from our walk that morning.. He was the most awful arrogant host and very disrespectful .

Great Stay

Brilliant location, cosy, comfortable and warm. Pet friendly, secure and quiet. Beds comfortable, tv, oven and heating easy to use. 5 minutes to beach, shops, cafes, pubs and pier. I recommend the boat trip from the promenade that takes you out for a hr, where the scenery is amazing and you get to see the seal island and sea birds, not bad for £12pp. Chris the host at Birchwood is very friendly and helpful. If you walk to bottom of the street, turn left, cross to Rock Shop on the corner and carry on walking towards promenade, you will come to a little café that serves a small £5 breakfast all day and also £5 for fish and chips too, which are well worth the money. Also pet friendly and staff are lovely.

Parking is not good, cannot park outside in the street, so once unloaded had to park in next street, but at least this is free. The apartment was clean, but not spotless, infact, the shower drain had hairs in it and had not been cleaned and the shower head holder come off the wall. One night some of the lights and Internet went off, called Chris who came straight away and sorted it.

Very comfortable and central

We only stayed for one night but it was so lovely and cosy. The thoughtful little touches like the Welsh cakes, chocolate and bathrobes were very much appreciated and it was very dog friendly too. The location couldn't have been better and the bed was really comfortable too. We would definitely stay again.

Birchwood is so ideally located for everything we love to do in Llandudno. Apartment is lovely & cosy & so very dog friendly. Our host Chris has thoughtfully equipped Birchwood with everything you need during your stay & continues to improve facilities it just gets better...big thank you

Lovely place we will be back

Loved our stay here , perfect location for the cafes ,bars,shops etc couple of mins walk to the pier ,the apartment was great ,kitchen, bedroom and living room a good size ,it felt cosy. Also there is a room when you walk in which was great if you want to sit and eat a meal ,lovely big table and bright as well. It is situated on the little street next to the loaf cafe so great for a lunchtime takeaway or eat in . Chris was great so thankyou Chris we wish we could have stayed longer as we felt really Comfortable at birchwood ,and the reviews did not dissapoint. We will definitely come back to this little gem

THIS PLACE IS A SCAM.

Nothing, there was nothing I liked, a total disaster, a fraud.

The photo that appears here is not the real one, the actual entrance is horrible, the side street is full of containers with garbage, there is no view of the mountains, the views are not interesting at all, the smell of dogs is very strong, the doors are very difficult to open and close, you can spend more than 10 minutes trying to open and another 10 trying to close, the smell of cannabis around the house is very evident, people come to that street at night to get high, it is a very unsafe place, there is no emergency exit, no fire extinguishers, the floor has unevenness in the kitchen and bathroom that are prone to falls, the living room is dark and the decoration is all about dogs, the toilet takes 20 minutes to refill the water, and many other absurd details that make your stay a nightmare, we decided not to stay, we called the owner, but he did not answer, we called Booking and agreed to stay only that night, the owner has refused to refund our money, knowing that according to British regulations, he is obliged to do so.

The property is in an excellent location, in the heart of Llandudno. The property is perfect for pets. Chris was very welcoming and available if needed during our stay. Complimentary robes and slippers was a nice touch.

The decor isn’t to my taste but everything was clean and tidy.

The location in Llandudno was great! The bed was comfortable, the flat was clean and the landlord had provided thoughtful extras. The rental was very reasonably-priced.

Gate was very difficult to open. Lounge area was very dark and dingy. Shower (the whole fitting) fell off the wall when you used it. The access to the flat was perilous - men working on a roof next door, scaffolding, piles of debris, including pieces of wood with nails sticking out and workmen's discarded lunch was the approach. The alley was dark at night.

The ugliest stay we have had in our lifetime.

The property looks like it used to be a nice house that has been f**ked up by dividing it into two separate units.

There was nothing to like - entrance is through the back street full of waste bins, the bathroom has been built into the bedroom, not only making the bedroom look ugly, but also having a noisy incinerator that wakes up your partner in case you need to use it at night, the toilet has so little space it’s not comfortable to use, the fridge is not in kitchen (with plenty of space in there) but in another small room, the freezer was filled with frost/snow, so we could put anything in without defrosting it first, the dining place has a huge table and six massive chairs although the apartment is for two persons only, the locks on the entrance doors are quite temperamental, the walkway has a lowered area covered with a piece of carpet (trip hazard!), there is electrical wiring exposed throughout the property making it look extremely unsafe, the certificate exhibited proudly shows a score 9.2 out of 10, I would give not more than 2.9 out of 20…
