Birchwood Apartment

A very well located property, just a couple of minutes' walk from all the town centre attractions, like the pier, beach and high street. Chris met us bang on time to pass on the keys and there were lots of nice touches waiting for us, like Welsh cakes and chocolate bars. Travelling with two young children, having the apartment separated into multiple rooms (conservatory, kitchen, living room with sofa bed, double bedroom and bathroom) was very helpful, to ensure they could go to sleep whilst the rest of the property was useful to me to still make food, watch TV (great selection of Sky channels) or use the very reliable Wifi to stream content on my phone without disturbing them. Excellent value for the price.

All the little niggles were just that - nothing that was a particular issue that couldn't be resolved. The bathroom is a little tight and the water pressure in the shower was low, but everything worked. I couldn't find any way of making the sofa bed go completely flat - it had a ridge in the middle which was awkward - but the double bed was very comfortable. The flooring and furniture were mostly on the older side and showing a bit of wear in places, but mainly comfortable. Parking can be a lottery - we struggled for a space nearby when we first arrived, but when we came back after tea, we were able to find a free overnight space right outside the Travelodge at the end of the road.

Our stay at Birchwood during a heatwave was very relaxed. There are blinds to help keep rooms cool & a tower fan provided was excellent. Apartment is so homely, cosy & comfortable. Chris is very welcoming, helpful & supplies edible goodies which is lovely. Our dog likes staying at Birchwood too she loves the area so many great dog walks.

The location is perfect for a walk up the orme or to the beach, everything on the doorstep. Not just dog friendly- dog welcoming! Bowls, treats, blankets, doggy themed living room, so cute!
