It’s full of charm and character, spotlessly clean, and perfectly located for exploring the town. The cottage is in an excellent position, close to St Ives but away from the busy town, if you like peace and tranquility. Returning here at the end of busy walking days was wonderful.
Some reviews mention that parking can be tricky when pulling out, but as a careful driver I found it no problem at all. If you park in front of the house facing towards Halsetown (not St Ives), it’s easy to get out, and there are plenty of turning areas on either side to make manoeuvring straightforward. We did not walk on the road as no pavement, so parked in the Rugby ground for £7 a day, easy and safe.

This is self catering accommodation and had every facility provided for a comfortable stay. The accommodation was very clean and the furniture, including the bed, was very comfortable.
The ground floor shower tray is quite sliery when wet and the provision of a non-slip bath may would make this safer to use.

Clean, beautiful, spacious, welcome bag plus milk in the fridge was nice to arrive to, very responsive staff when needed something. A wow when you walk in to the garden.
Lack of pavement to easily walk into St Ives and vehicles just thundered past. Felt like me and my family were putting our lives in our hands walking on the road when leaving the house. Even carried the dog a few times to ensure his safety. A kind local shared that we could cut through the field and road but still had a section that was dangerous. Definitely needs a reflection mirror as well for vehicles leaving.

The house is nicely decorated and fitted with modern appliances. It's very clean, a good size and is close to St. Ives.
The house does have a lot going for it, but we didn't feel at home there. The main issue is that there is very little natural light in the main living space and master bedroom. It's also quite cold so the overall feel of the house is a little like a cave. This may not be an issue for everyone, but definitely was for us. There is also a busy and fast road immediately outside the front which is very loud when you are sitting in the garden.

Wow. What a beautiful little gem. Everything they said it would be and more. Spotlessly clean and had everything you need for a long weekend away. Communication with the owner by messaging was excellent. Highly recommended.
Never like writing negative things when the cottage was perfect but if I must criticise anything then it would be the parking area being right next ti the main road and need to wait fir traffic to pass before opening the doors.

Liked that it had all the facilities required for a short stay. Shower was lovely.
Bed was too small, hard and uncomfortable. Stairs not safe, too steep, not much room to take case upstairs and bring back down. Juice that was supplied was out of date and gone off but rest of gift pack was lovely. Manhole outside makes noise every time a car drives over it which is often as its a busy road, we took the bedroom at the back and closed the front bedroom door.

Loved the property, although the garden could do with a tidy up.
There was no information given about it being located on a busy road though. With a dog, this could be dangerous, so we probably wouldn’t stay

Beautiful house, in great location.
Everything was thought of, home from home.
Would have preferred a king size bed in the the main bedroom, mattress comfy but bed frame felt a bit unstable when you turned over in sleep.

Located next to a busy road with no footpath for a few hundred yards down hill and non going up to the local pub( so not within walking distance)

Lovely welcome pack on arrival, which was much appreciated.
The cottage is beautiful and felt like home as soon as we arrived!
The front garden is a real sun trap in the afternoon/evening with beautiful views.
The property is about a 10/15 minute walk to St ives harbour and beautiful beaches.
We would walk in and get a taxi back for around £5.50 or if you can get in the car parks it’s about £6-8 to park all day. Be prepared to walk up steep hills back to the car parks though unless you get lucky and can park at the small one’s by the harbour.
We all really enjoyed our stay and the owners have really thought of everything to make you feel welcome. Thank you😊
Just what we all needed after lockdown!
