About this house rental

Godrevy View is a two bedroomed property situated only 10 minutes walk away from St Ives' main attractions and beaches - up a steepish hill so please bear this in mind if you have mobility issues. The property has an open plan living area (23 foot long) with vaulted ceilings and double doors opening out onto a decked balcony - seating includes an oversized, mid-century styled sofa and two arm chairs. The dining area has a dining table and seating for 6 and the kitchen has fully integrated appliances including a washing machine and dishwasher. The two bedrooms (one double and one twin) have doors leading out onto a balcony and a landscaped garden with with sea views - perfect for a relaxing breakfast or a pre dinner drink.

One of the most fabulous accommodations we have ever stayed in. Great location, we didn’t mind the steep hill as it kept us fit on holiday. 0.5 miles to Fore Street in St Ives. Neil clearly takes great pride in providing a beautiful place to stay. The little extras like providing soap, washing up liquid and tea and coffee helped too. We loved it here and will be back. Our two teenage daughters (17/19) also loved it. Thank you!

We really had a wonderful stay at this fantastic property in St Ives. The home was spacious and had everything one would require to feel at home.The garden was excellent for the doggies, also.Communication from the host was exemplary ensuring our 3 week stay was stress free.Would highly recommend for anyone seeking for a spacious property, with parking, only a very short walk from the centre of St Ives

This was a wonderfully comfortable stay. So clean and light. The photos are true. We fit 4 adults well. Location to town and beaches is really good especially if you don’t mind hills (shuttle nearby too). Having car spots was a real bonus.

Such a comfortable house. Really spacious interior. We we very lucky having a week of sunshine so were out most days on the beach but if weather had been poor, we would have been happy to relax in the house as it was so nice.We stayed with our dog and 8 year old child/ The secure garden makes it ideal to do so.Quite an easy walk down into St Ives from the house. Bit of a hill to climb on the return but it kept us feeling fit!Would definitely recommend this place and would return.

We really enjoyed our stay, had no problems with parking or pretty much anything. It was clean and very user friendly ie tv, coffee,tea,sugar even the shower was good. Even our dog loved the garden. Any grumble would be the hill climb may be tough for some and the nearby co op was expensive but overall we would love to stay again sometime in the future. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

We very much enjoyed our stay in Neil’s house. There was everything you could ask for to make it a great home from home. Location was good although the hill is steep as other reviews suggest, it wasn’t a problem for us. There is a bus which runs nearby down into St Ives if you don’t fancy the walk. After a pleasant stay in 2023 we decided to book the house again for 2024. We felt at home even when I got sick during our stay. The co-op right around the corner is very convenient. The terrace could have been cleaner but otherwise everything was great.

Great little house. Private parking was a bonus. Within walking distance to St Ives but can see where the hill may be a challenge for some. The host, Neil, was very quick to answer any questions we had. Only one suggestion, a hand rail near the tub would be helpful, the step into and out of the tub is a little tricky. We are from the states and our tubs are not quite so high. Overall experience was great and would stay again.

I couldn't have found a more perfect place to stay in St. Ives. Great location, nice views, beautiful property. Clean, nicely furnished, comfortable, and everything you need. Nicely stocked co-op just down the road a bit, easily walkable to St. Ives and there are loads of taxis if you don’t want to walk uphill back to the house. It was 10 times better than I thought it would be. Neil was super responsive from the questions I asked while planning my visit several months ago right through to the detailed instructions provided just before I arrived. I am very pleased with my stay and would stay again in a heartbeat.

We had a fantastic two week holiday in this well located house with great views across the bay. The house was well maintained and one of the best curated holiday houses we have stayed in, with all the rooms well laid out and equipped. Neil was a great host who responded promptly and helpfully to all our queries before we arrived. Having two parking spaces that were very easy to park in is a huge benefit in st Ives. Thanks very much for a great stay.

Superb!

This was our second year staying at Godrevy View. As a family we love the garden and outdoor seating. The house feels very spacious (pictures don’t do it justice). As per other reviews re: the road outside. This is not an issue, the garden gives you privacy and the road isn’t that busy. The hill leading to and from the centre is very steep but is a great way to walk your dinner off. Will definitely be back.

Thank you for such a wonderful week. Great location easy access to St Ives harbour and the surrounding Cornwall towns. House very clean and well equipped, with the enclosed garden safe for the dog. The private parking next to the house was a bonus and is invaluable in St Ives.

On a whole lovely property however didn't expect it to be on a main road next to T junction.. Needs some sort of privacy blind s on bedrooms so don't have to keep drawing curtains if need to change or anything in day passers by can see in.

This was a great location and property; it is out of the way and therefore quiet, it’s great for the dogs with a secure garden. The walk back is steep so please only rent if you are prepared to walk up hill or happy to get a bus. If you know St Ives there is a longer but less steep route back starting from back of the Surf School by the Tate modern.

A lovely, light house within an easy walking distance from the centre of St Ives and it’s beaches. We took our two dogs who loved the very secure garden and the outdoor decking and the property benefits from having parking next to the house. We had a lovely time and hope to be back soon.

We had a great time at Godrevy View despite the mixed weather in St Ives during our stay. The house is a great contemporary styled property with a spacious open plan lounge and well equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds meant we all had restful nights sleep during our stay in beautiful St Ives. The enclosed garden was perfect for our dog and we enjoyed sitting on the terrace in the evening sun. The house is on top of a hill as other guests have mentioned but we enjoyed the walk down and got one of the readily available ( and inexpensive) taxis back! Thanks to Neil for the detailed house info sent beforehand. We’d happily stay again!

We had an amazing experience! We felt like home, house was very clean and after a long drive, we had a lovely cup of tea as everything was ready for us. Location was perfect, we had a little Co-Op round the corner and town was only 15 min walk. My little boy, 2 years old enjoyed it so much, particularly the garden! We are definetely coming back soon!

This was a very modern and clean cottage with all the Amenities needed. There is a co op 2 minutes away and it’s about a 10 minute walk into town. This is fine going down but would be difficult for people with mobility issues getting back as the hill is rather steep. Overall would definitely recommend to stay here as a great price considering how beautiful the place is.
