Everything I hoped it would be and more

cottages, cleanliness, charm, staff, location, history -- this lodging is historic and shows its age, but that is the charm!

I would not recommend this hotel unless you want to be up all night

The staff was very nice

The noise from the restaurant went on till after 3 AM every night. There was no way you could get any sleep until after then, and they called it. A premium room was way overpriced and should not even be rented. It was a horrible experience. I will never stay there again. We had another couple and another room. They had the same experience.

Best place and comfortable stay on Pacific Beach

Property is right on the beach, perfect location. We can walk anywhere. We stayed in 2 bedroom apartments, recommend to get floor 2-3 though. You will get nice view. We were on ground floor so we didn’t have veranda. They have laundry machines for guests too.

Probably the noise from bars nearby.

OLD Cottages with Beautiful Ocean Front views in Pacific Beach

Shuffle Board, ping pong, grills onsite. View and proximity to the sea is the best. Next door is the best restaurant with the largest margaritas and best happy hour. Mexican food is everywhere. If you speak Spanish it is a plus.

The alley in the back had too many drunks at night yelling. It would be so easy to put up signs "Quiet Zone" or ask the police to quiet down the walkers.

Relaxation and enjoyable..

I enjoyed the morning and evening walks.. The bedding is clean and comfortable. Coffee machine a plus along with basic cutlery and mini fridge. The World Famous restaurant is close and very good with excellent customer service, just a great place to eat and have a few drinks

The issued a room 202 with a bad lock, The staff immediately offered an alternative room for the night 24 3. unfortunately the door lock on 202 was not able to be repaired. So was moved to room 244 for the second night. Over all the staff concern and immediate action made a bad situation better, THANK YOU

Wonderful and amazing place to stay.

The location was perfect. Got a view of the beach and feel of it from our room. Staff was super friendly and the property was clean. Will definitely be staying here again in the future.

It probably doesn’t happen a lot, but there were a couple of rainy days with a lot of wind. The sound of the wind howled through our hallway rather loudly. It was mostly a problem during the night when we were trying to sleep. I left my room and saw that somebody had closed the door to one end of the hallway, so I traveled to the other end of the hallway to try to close that door, but it wouldn’t close all the way. The howling did lessen, but it was still a little loud and eerie.

Okay just for one night.

The location was a block away for the beach and board walk. We could see the ocean from our window.

Our TV didnt work and no one could help. The streets around us were loud and smelled like puke.

Location with ease to beach and walking distance to about any needs.

No A/C. Not something I look for when booking a room. Its 2025. This should not be. Thankfully it wasn't hot out. They did give us 2 rotating fans that helped alot.

Definitely coming back!

What an awesome location at an affordable price! The beds were very comfortable and it was nice having a small kitchen available as well. We didn’t have kids with us but if you do the property has a few games (ping pong, shuffle board, etc) and the beach and walking path are right out the front door. Our daughter lives nearby and we will be staying here every time we come visit.

The only thing I can think of is that we came during a hot spell in October so our room was hotter than we would like, certainly not an issue though.

The location was excellent, the staff was friendly and helpful. Surronded by great places to eat and drink. Easy and safe access to the beach. Having a secure parking spot was a great benefit!

Nice beach stay

The staff and housekeeping team are friendly, helpful, and responsive to texts/calls. I was worried about the location not having AC, but the room was still comfortable with the fan on and if you left the balcony door open during the day. The location is right on the beach which is great and close to a lot of restaurants and the fishing dock you can easily walk to.

Our room was facing the bars and people hang out close to the building, so it was noisy on weekend nights even with the balcony door closed.

Accommodations were good but don’t be fooled they put us in the north building that they never showed in pictures witch is behind other businesses so you don’t see the ocean and the garbage trucks wake you up every morning at 5 am and I mean it is loud! Homeless people sleeping on the side of the building and garbage trucks garbage trucks all day

We came from Arizona to cool off. And be next to the beach to relax and have fun.

We like the cabinet we were in. It was right next to the beach. Made it easy to get around the whole area and of course it was 72°.

Be careful about which building you stay in.

Staff were pleasant and courteous. Beachfront locale and surrounding shops and restaurants were great.

The room we were assigned in the west building was over a bar/restaurant which was noisy. Even worse it was on a busy street which was a hangout for rowdy partiers and loud motorcycles and muscle cars. The din continued well into the early morning hours-past 2am. Because the units don't have a/c we had to leave the door open at night. Our friends stayed in the south building and had a full view of the ocean, no auto traffic and it was quiet and peaceful.

Did the job! Fantastic location next to the beach and walking distance to shops, bars, restaurants. Had a mini kitchenette with fridge so very convenient. Not the cleanest with lots of hair on the floor in the room but likely just needed a sweep. Felt like we couldnt take our shoes off as hair would be stuck to our feet

The proximity to the beach and surrounding restaurants and shops is fabulous!

Great location. Accommodating for large groups. Ability to use the facility for BBQs and gathering together. Helpful, friendly service staff. Reasonable parking rates

The communication about parking could be better. It was unclear as to whether I was charged for 4 cars daily ( 4 rooms) when we only had 3 cars. Some of the front desk staff were more friendly and helpful than others, but overall, everyone seemed to want guests to enjoy their stays.

Great location, shabby hotel.

The location is great. On the beach and walking distance to everything. The staff was fine. I have nothing else to recommend about the place.

My room didn’t feel clean. The floor felt tacky. The bathroom wall had holes in it. The room very badly needs a deep cleaning. The bed was not comfortable. The interiors need updating.

Great location, right on the beach! Vintage—feels like stepping back to the 70’s. The rooms have a small kitchenette with a coffee maker.

Aesthetically a little tired. There is a restaurant/bar attached, so you might hear some noise late at night. No pool / hot tub.

Too many pubs/bars in the area that catered to noisy young people at the wee hours. Since our room did not have air conditions we sometimes had to chose between: open the balcony door to get fresh air or close the balcony to keep the outside noise out.

Lovely Stay

The location is absolutely prime. We could see the ocean from our room. The windows were practically sound proof too which was great for this area especially! The parking was great too, really convenient.

Elevators were slow, but that’s just me being impatient.
