We had a great stay!

The whole property is clean, the rooms are great and for the price to be right on the beach, you can’t beat it! We even decided last minute to extend our stay one more night and it wasn’t a problem at all!

Just so relaxing!

There is no better location at Pacific Beach. The rooms are very comfortable and the King Ocean View rooms are spectacular. You can pay more, but you won't get closer to the beach or have the great views they have.

Getting in and out of the parking garage is a little scary, but doable.

Definitely coming back!

This place was comfortable, very clean and nice and quiet! Also, right in front of the ocean. The staff were very friendly and maintained the property well! The front lobby ladies were amazing! One in particular but I can’t remember her name! Customer service was amazing!

Overall it’s become our favorite place to stay for our mother/daughter trips.

Perfect location on the beach! Yummy food options in close proximity. While we haven’t taken advantage of the pool, it does face the beach, with lots of lawn chairs to lounge on.

Parking is $40/day, parking garage clearance is only 6 feet, so had to park my jeep outside.

Excellent location within walking distance to the gym, great restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques,, grocery store and most of all the beach. Friendly staff.

We had a power outage for an hour and a half the first night … this seemed to impact my air conditioning unit in my room. The first night, the air conditioning was great, second night it wasn’t as cold and the third night I had to call to have it repaired (air conditioning was not blowing cool air and there was a 7 degree difference from what temperature was set at and what the actual room temperature was). They had to go on the roof and were able to fix; however the last night, I had the same exact issue with the air conditioning like the night before and unfortunately they were unable to fix. They did not update me and I called a second time asking what was the status and they offered to being a fan in the hot & muggy room and I informed them that this would not work due to my high blood pressure and they moved me to another room which was unfortunately smaller. There was no other offerings for these inconveniences on my bill or for future stays at the hotel or even comping breakfast and coffee the next morning (which most hotels usually would have done).

A nice boutique hotel with a laidback but fancy vibe.

The location is great, right in the middle of all the action, steps from the beach, down the street from Belmont Shores and 15 minutes from the arena.

The lobby being in a separate building was a little odd at first, but it wasn’t a problem at all.

We had a room with queen bed and sofa; pool/partial ocean view - Spacious room - Very convenient mini-kitchenette with sink, fridge, microwave, and Keurig coffee maker - Good room service - Very nice pool area - Next to the beach - Partial ocean view from the balcony

- The carpet looked dirty and worn-out - Very cheap quality of furniture. Looked worn-out and drawers were hard to move. - Very high parking fee ($40 per day) - On nice warm days, there are no lounge chairs available at the pool - The bed was set up in a way that instead of ocean view we had wall view. Why don't they put it on the other side of the room?

Quintessential California surf-themed hotel on Pacific Beach sands

Location of this hotel is unbeatable. Right ON the water, in front of a surf spot and walkable to tons of restaurants, bars and shopping. The hotel itself is adorably decorated, with a a great and well-executed California surf theme. Nice little cafe in the lobby and well-stocked mini market with wine, beer, snacks, etc. Staff super nice and friendly. And a great pool area with a fabulous hot tub to watch the sunset from. Highly recommend this hotel and will go back.

It's pricey especially given it's essentially a converted motor hotel / motel and not a 5-star resort. $40/day for parking is steep.

Great hotel in a vibrant area of Pacific Beach

The property exceeded my expectations. It was much nicer than I expected. It's located right at Pacific Beach. Just walk out the front doors and you're right there. It's a busier area with lots of people and vibrant beach scene. The room was great and the bed was very comfortable. Pool area is also nice with a view of the beach and boardwalk. Great to watch all the people and surfers in the water.

Horrible

Hotel clearly needs an urgent renovation and improved cleaning standards. Lets begin with the parking situation, the spaces are tiny and few. The overall hotel is old from carpets to frames and doors. The rooms consist of old carpets and old beds, making them very prone to bugs. My room personally was not cleaned properly with leftover hair and the bathtub and toilet being dirty. During my last day I woke up to a cockroach (to which I am allergic) and had to pack my stuff and leave incredibly early in the morning. In both cases when I reported those cases in person, my only response was that they will log them. After contacting them online about the issues they told me they will just log my issues. No further assistance or anything. For a 2 day roughly a $1000 dollar stay, this hotel is not worth it. PLEASE AVOID

unable to use hot tub because people were using as a kiddie pool also people were putting kidw in and walking away very dangerous, also hated having to navigate when bikes roller blades and other vehicles were wizzing by . too much noise when people are trying to sleep, smell of grass large group taking up the beach playing some sort of trampoline game noisy and went on too long

I’ve been staying for years and I’ve always wondered why there’s no ramp instead of stairs to walk with luggage. I know you can use parking garage but a little ramp yo replace the stairs would be perfect.
