Secret hideout!

20 minutes from the NEC; Quiet location; Helpful Host; all in a value-for-money, nice property.

The contact for the property was very helpful, quick to respond to messages, and gave good advice re parking, and the area. The 'check-in' was easy, with all gate and lock-box codes working, and the property was clean and spacious.

There was a bath-towel, but perhaps the bathroom would have benefited from a hand-towel as well. And a bedside lamp / table would be useful (but the host explained a previous lamp had been stolen by a previous occupant!) - no biggy, but would be useful in the dark, in an unfamiliar room.

Did the job, needed somewhere to rest & freshen up

Greeted friendly & pleasantly by the host, all smiles... Cleanliness of the property could of been better. Long strands of hair was nearly everywhere I stepped & even in the bed, pillow end & on the headboard, I'm sure the apartment should of been freshly cleaned & bedding changed for new guest arrival... Shower was intermittent hot & cold... Door code worked & then didn't work when I came back... TV had no channels & internet was either too slow or a weak signal or wasn't working...

has makings for a nice place

- host was pleasant - returned deposit promptly - bed was comfy - has makings for a nice place if issues can be resolved - lots of cctv on the outside which felt secure

- stayed here due to having surgery locally and needed a place for my mum and brother to stay while I was in hospital and for one night after just to be local - on booking It was described as having a sofa bed, and from the description/photo I was under the impression is was a living diner and a separate bedroom which would have been good for 2 guests (non couple) to stay. however after booking the description changed which I was informed about there no longer being a sofa bed, however I couldn’t find another accommodation so had to remain at this one and brought a blow up bed for the living room. when arriving I learnt it wasn’t a separate room it was a studio apartment. - on arrival it was abit dusty as it was newly renovated, there was limited supplies - washing liquid, tea towels etc, my mum cleaned round on arrival. - the hob didn’t work, when this was brought up appeared guests were aware and recommended a local take away, however the reason we booked an apartment was so we could cook and not spend Money as we would have been there 2 nights. - no hot water in sink -we didn’t end up staying the second night and left early just as my specific circumstances would have been difficult with limited room and no proper cooking facilities

The flat was very dirty, The sofa and dining room chairs were unusable as the were very dirty. All the doors had dirty marks from hands and they had not been wiped. There was blood stains on the bathroom doors. There was multiple "stains" on the carpets and the place had a smell of soggy dogs. The general condition of the flat was very grubby and in dire need of redecorating. There was no way I was putting my family through staying at this apartment. We checked into a local hotel at great expense and did not use the apartment

The small bedroom had mould on walls and had clearly not been cleaned for a long time. It also had a musty/mouldy smell. Sofa bed was disgusting. It had horrible stains on it, cigarette burns and was broken and unusable. We booked the accomodation for 4 and no-one could or would sleep on that. There is insufficient crockery - e.g. only 2 bowls. We didn't stay for the two nights we had booked, but moved to a Travelodge.

Great location. Communication with owner was great and easy. Access to property smooth and easy. Great on street parking. Very spacious apartment. Roomy and great layout. Tv and firestick great addition! The large double bed is comfy

Sofa bed is broken, and stained and has cigarette burns. Some of the decor needs a good refresh. Not enough cutlery and crockery for a family of 4.

Excellent communication from owner. Good directions.great value for money. Clean and tidy. Was very nervous about staying from the previous reviews but it was a pleasant stay.

It was a very relaxing environment, easy to get to and had great amenities. The owner of the property is very friendly and easy to communicate with and it’s a very peaceful place. Thanks for a great stay!

The bathroom is a little small and there wasn’t access to the back garden, but other than that was good!

WAS HEAVILY STAINED SOFA... BATHROOM LIGHT FITTING HANGING OFF THE WALL. HOLES IN PLASTER DIRTY WALLS NO BLIND IN KITCHEN SO SALON CUSTOMS CAN SEE RIGHT INTO THE KITCHEN. FRIDE IS A COUNTER TOP FRIDGE NO FREEZER AND HAD BARELY ANY SPACE. TABLE AND SOFA HAD CIGARETTE BURNS ALL OVER NO WINDOWS IN LOUNGE / BEDROOM AND NO FAN. I TRIED CONTACTING THE OWNER WHO.IGNORED.ALL CALLS AND TEXTS

Poor standard of “apartment”

The property is deceiving, I wanted an apartment not some property at the back of a shop! Had a very disgusting weird smokish smell throughout the apartment. The pictures are also deceiving as the double bed isn’t it’s own separate room but in fact In the same room as the living room. Burn marks all over the sofa and in the single room bed, there was a slug that looked like it had been there for some time, felt the beds had bed bugs, overall very dissatisfied with the cleanliness of the property.

Pleasant

The property was very cosy, chips shop right next door was very convenient and an Aldi not too far from the property! The kitchen was well equipped and the TV had Netflix which was a plus. The bed was very big and comfortable! Good value.

There were stains on the bathroom door and it did not look like it had been cleaned properly. As well as the table in the living area and the kitchen were not clean. The floor had also not been cleaned as it made my socks quite dirty.

Everything was bad, there's a second room that we couldn't even go in at all because of the extremely bad smell, even when we opened the windows the smell wouldn't go, also the main room was dirty and the whole flat stinks too, bathroom was so small and TV doesn't work, and what's worse is when we called the landlord they wouldn't reply, neither did they reply to my texts.

Value for money and good location

The host was friendly and helpful, the non contact check in and check out was very easy. Great value.

The only thing I would say was the facilities was damp and second room was so damp that we were unable to sleep in it. The third person had to sleep on the sofa. We all have asthma so none of us could really be in that space longer than 5 mins. Hence why I would say it was uncomfortable. I would like to add the photos are outdated.
