Wow! Right on the beachfront, best views in cape tiwn! You’re straight into the sand dunes and watching the crashing waves (not ideal for swimming but the water is too cold for that anyway). There’s nothing obstructing your view until table mountain in the background! We spent hours looking out to sea and saw whales and seals playing in the waves.

Absolutely amazing views! This place is perfectly situated right on the beach, offering a peaceful and serene atmosphere—ideal for a relaxing getaway. Waking up to the sound of the waves and breathtaking ocean scenery is truly special. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need, making self-catering a breeze, and the braai facilities provide a fantastic outdoor experience ! The staff are friendly, helpful and always on time. Overall, a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy nature. Highly recommended!

While the location and views are stunning, the property could use more maintenance, especially outside. Like many beach houses exposed to the moist and salty air, wear and tear is noticeable—particularly on the deck, loungers, and fence. With some upkeep, this place could truly shine

Furnishings were a bit tired and annex smelt damp and unused. There could’ve been a bit more done with the outside space. Broken gates just gave it a bit of an unloved feel.

Great stay close to the ocean and away from it all

A great place to stay right on the beach in Yzerfontein with a kitchen equipped with all you need to cook your own meals. There are various restaurants in town. The house comes equipped with power backup during load shedding.

The house is very spacious and so equipped with everything you need . From the bedroom to the living rooms and the kitchen , we found everything that we needed . Tapiwa and Tinashe are heaven sent , very kind and patient . they were onsite and assisted us immediately.

We had someone (Tapiwa) waiting for us with keys. Tapiwa did a walk-about of the property and its features which we appreciated. We requested for the pool to be covered because we had small kids and this was done. The views were exceptional, right on the water. Most bedrooms had beach views. All kitchen appliances were available. The owner's even provided throws for chilly days. Lovely small details. Tapiwa, who oversees the house was lovely and readily available to answer questions.

Location and position is perfect. Tinache always there with a helping hand.

We stayed at Thyme and Tide in March 2022, the property exceeded our expectations. My mom cleaned, packed and rearranged the kitchen and pantry at Pearl Bay. The cushions in the bedrooms needs to be replaced. Maintenance needs to be done to this gem, I guess it just needs the owner's touch again.

Absolutely perfect location and amazing sized house for a family reunion. Even for kids, who enjoyed the rock pools and playing along the beach

Not the fault of the property but it was very windy during our stay so didn’t get the most out of the outdoor area and pool. it’s not very sheltered from the winds.

View, location. Pet Friendly!!!!! My dogs loved it. Hosts were very friendly and on time. Special coffee and biscuits on arrival. Daily cleaning service that was included. Beds, pillows!! attention to detail in rooms and bathrooms. Bar-one treats next to beds.

Could not park car inside the garage. Some lights outside did not work. Some sewage smell in one room.

A lovely relaxing beach stay. Great house, and can't beat the location.

Location, right on the beach, was excellent. Well-equipped kitchen and nicely decorated. I'd definitely recommend it.

Only 2 of the bedrooms were en-suite (one of these was in the separate boathouse), and the two upstairs bedrooms in the main house needed to share a bathroom. The decking, and outdoor areas are looking as if they needs some work or replacing.

Uns hat einfach alles gefallen! Was für ein luxuriöses Strandhaus mit allen Annehmlichkeiten direkt am Meer. Als Überraschung kam eine Straußenfamilie 2mal täglich zu Besuch. Wir kommen definitiv so bald als möglich wieder!
