The Ocean Blue is a large 2 story home that literally sits right on a sandy beach facing the deep blue sea. Located in the Bayshore community on the beach in Waldport, this home's backyard is the Pacific Ocean!

With 4 large bedrooms (all with queen beds) and additional sleeping available in the game room, this home sleeps 6 people and is perfect for vacations with family and friends. There are also 3 bathrooms, and a large game room with a ping pong table. The lovely open kitchen, dining room, and living room area looks out over the ocean for a view that can't be beat. This home has lots of windows to let the sunshine in, or to watch Oregon's dramatic storms on rainy days. The home is both comfortable and spacious: it has two TVs with cable, free WiFi and all the necessary bedding, towels, and kitchenware that you might need. If you enjoy watching the waves roll in, or star gazing over the ocean, this home is perfect! You can step out the door, sit on the deck and enjoy the sights and sounds of the sea. Or, if you're more adventurous, go into town, digging for clams, fly a kite, or catch crab in the Alsea Bay. This beautiful, beachfront home in the sand has something for everyone to enjoy!

Guests of this home also have access to the Bayshore swimming pool on a daily fee basis. The swimming pool (open seasonally in the summer) schedule of swim times will be posted at pool entrance. Renters must provide their rental agreement and photo identification to gain access. Access may be restricted during busy times.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is wonderful and we loved being able to see the ocean even while in the house. Also love that the beach side windows open in the living area, which is not always the case with ocean front homes. It allows a nice breeze on hot summer days and the sound of the ocean.

Ocean Blue was the perfect place to meet with old friends/colleagues with plenty of room for all with room to spare. Two of us were mobility-challenged so found the top floor bedrooms on the main floor most convenient. The WiFi was excellent. Free TV allowed for only limited selection of channels. Would have been better to have had at least major channels. Would have been nice to have had a garbage disposal but was doable. Decorated absolutely lovely with beach memorabilia. Ample linens. Beach access was limited and not accessible for mobility-challenged folks. Beach was barely viewable over the sand dunes but afforded us lovely sunsets nevertheless. Would contemplate returning unless we could find a beach house on one level.

Our weekend stay at the beach house in Waldport, Oregon, was delightful. The house offered stunning ocean views that we could enjoy from the spacious deck and cozy living room with comfortable furnishings. We loved the easy beach access, perfect for morning strolls and evening sunsets. The bedrooms were inviting and provided restful sleep with the sound of the waves in the background. Overall, it was a peaceful and refreshing getaway, and we look forward to returning. We just had one small issue with the leaky bathtub upstairs. Hopefully that’ll be fixed for our next trip Waldport and this lovely beach house.

The house was spacious, clean, and the couches were so comfortable. It's quite clear that the owners care about the home and there are nice touches throughout. Absolutely lovely.One issue I had was that the beach pictures are misleading. It makes it seem like there is an easy walk to the shore. Instead, there is a little mini-bluff that is too difficult for my wife to get up/down easily (she has vertigo) and my sister and mom were unable to make it down/up at all.I wish it was more clear that the beach access was not accessible for people with mobility impairments.

This house right on the beach was fantastic! The beach walk from the house was perfect. Very few people on the beach. Very romantic! The house was very clean, having everything we needed. Great wood burning stove and large screen tv to watch movies late at night! I would highly recommend this place and the property manager.

Very nice property! The beds and linens were very comfortable. I'm especially pleased there was a real coffee maker and grinder instead of a Kuereg. The Netflix already programed on the TV was nice. Also handy to be able to pull right into the garage and access the lower floor. However, the 18 steps to get up to the living area was a surprise. It seemed the last step down off the deck was missing. Enjoyed our week and watching the ocean and walking the empty beach.

This was a great rental. It was clean with more than enough space. There’s a handy tablet on the wall with extra information in addition to area information that we found helpful. If you stay, be sure to bring seasoning and oil as it is only stocked with salt, pepper, and olive oil spray but we didn’t mind. The game room was a great place to hang in the evenings.

Pictures were accurate; home was bright and open. The house was very clean. My child appreciated the Roku that was hooked up the TV, and all of us were impressed by the amount of board games available. Everyone agreed that all the beds were very comfortable. This home has three master bedrooms, so not having to share a bathroom was extremely nice. There were plenty of towels left in each bathroom. The check-in tablet that Sweet Homes uses was very helpful in providing fast information about checking out; this was the first time a rental I’ve stayed at has a check-in tablet and it was really convenient. I would book this home for a future getaway if I’m able. Thank you!

We really enjoyed our stay but the house needed a lot of simple repairs. Most blinds did not work and neither did the windows. Counters were cracked, laundry in the washing machine and could have been a bit cleaner. The location was great and the walk to the beach was farther than we thought but reasonable. Ultimately we had a great time here and enjoyed our stay

View and beach location were very good. Code didn’t work when we arrived, had to call and request a new one. Couldn’t get the check out procedure to work on iPad provided , called and left a message but didn’t get a call back. There were no check out directions on the email sent, just check in directions. The trash/recycle in the house were not labeled so didn’t know which one to use. Didn’t say what was trash/recycling pick up so we didn’t put the bins out. Young man was very quick in calling back when we couldn’t find directions for TV volume. Would have been helpful to have that by the TV.

The best part is being right on the beach. However, the house is lacking maintenance. The screen door to the porch didn't have a screen and several windows didn't have a screen. We had a hot day and needed the doors and windows open since there is not air conditioning. This led to many flies getting into the house, which was annoying. It hasn't had a deep cleaning in a while. Walls, cabinets and carpet on the stairs are dirty. The automated blinds didn't work. The code to the door was not the code we were given by email. The house has an odd layout- bathrooms and/or sinks in the bedrooms. Not as many amenities we are used to compared to the cost. Great view, great sand. Beach was incredible.

The location right on the ocean with large picture windows showcasing the ocean view is so lovely and is the best part of this house rental. The layout of the house, with 2 bedrooms off the main living area upstairs along with 2 bedrooms and a game room downstairs, worked well for our group of teens, grandparents, and middle agers. The beds were comfortable, and we all slept well in this quiet neighborhood. One of my teenage sons slept on the sofa pull-out bed and said it was comfortable. All of the sofas were very comfortable. The dining space is very tight and only seats 6 people. The counter-height dining table, with limited room to get into a seat, was hard on our older family members. We did not use the loft space but believe this would be great fun for families with elementary age children. We thought the "master bedroom" had a shower along with the tub, but it only has a tub. There is one shower upstairs and one shower downstairs. There is a swimming pool with a fee to use as described, however it was disappointing to learn that the pool is only available to renters from 1:30 to 4:00 or 4:30 each day, and had a daily fee. We played one of the board games, but there were only a few; however, there were many puzzles. There is a minimart near the entrance to this community, which was very convenient. We also utilized the larger grocery store a short drive into Waldport on a side street. We did communicate with the property manager/host as when we arrived as there were very few towels. It turns out they were in the dryer: but he also delivered 10 more bath towels the next day. He was very pleasant to speak with and we appreciated that he was eager to make sure we had what we needed. Although we enjoyed our stay, and liked the house, the price for this home is steep considering it has not been updated (for example, the countertops were cracked). The price was especially steep once the multiple fees were added. The home had been cleaned, yet the walls and cabinets felt dingy as they need fresh paint. When we went to use the coffee maker, it still had coffee and grounds from previous guests. This is a dog friendly house, but smelled fresh and there was no dog hair when we arrived.

My family (with three small boys) stayed here and we had an awesome time! It’s a great place for kids - lots of games, toys, and very fun loft! And you can’t beat the location right on the beach. Overall it was a perfect place to stay and I would highly recommend! My only negative comment is that I read in the vrbo listing that the third night is free and to inquire when booking. I did that but the property manager said (after it booked through vrbo) that you have to book directly through them in order to get the third night free. We also asked them if we could check out late and it took several emails to get an answer from them. Other than that, the place itself is awesome!!

This was not our first stay in this neighborhood. The views from this house, both directions, cannot be beat. We all thought that this house had the very best views of any of the houses there. The house was pleasantly (and surprisingly) clean. We've had some very bad experiences, with other short term rental agencies, so we were hoping for the best and expecting the worse. No disappointments in the cleanliness, comfort and roominess of the house. We do, however, have a wish list: We wished that the master bathroom had a door and a shower. Open concept master suite did not suit us. We wished that the downstairs bedrooms had closets and doors that actually locked. We wished that the downstairs shower was bigger and that the bathroom was just a little bit nicer. We had such fun in this house; we really felt like it was our home while we were there. It was so comfortable.

We really wanted to love this place…however, the photos didn’t live up to the reality. The house needs a thorough deep cleaning! The 2 ovens were filthy. One stove burner barely heated. The downstairs toilet wouldn’t flush unless you removed the lid & adjusted the flapper the leather furniture was ripped and worn. The window blinds in the master were tied together & unable to provide any blockage of light. One bathroom had a layer of dust on the backsplash & the fan hadn’t been cleaned for some time plus had a burned out light above sink. For the $$$ we spent we expected better. The kitchen counters were broken in 2 places. We tried to vacuum, but the vacuum cleaner wheels would only work if you pulled the vau backwards! The only good part of the stay was getting quality time with family members. Unfortunately, the weather was windy, cold &foggy so we were unable to enjoy the beach as we had. hoped. There were 3 housekeepers there when we arrived, but evidently they don’t do more than linens & garbage.

Place was great, location was excellent, with great proximity to the beach. Nice game room for the kids and plenty of room in the home to stretch out and relax. There were a few maintenance issues, and no spices, other than salt and pepper to cook with.
