The hotel is absolutely spectacular, and at a very reasonable rate. Staff were very helpful, I paid extra for an upgraded room, which was magnificent. The grounds the interior and the whole area is beautiful. I'd get married here!
Only downside is the lack of spa facilities, but to be honest, the last few hotels I've stayed at, that had facilities, I didn't end up having time to use them, and this hotel has so much more in it's surroundings.

Everything! The property is gorgeous. The team friendly and knowledgeable. The food delicious. Every room is stunning and so tastefully decorated. The grounds are pretty and easy to walk around. Such a peaceful setting. And Angela the manager is an absolute star! What a lovely lady. She is a real asset to your hotel. This was my second visit, and it is my intention to return with even more friends and family in the future so they too can delight in the ambiance of such a glorious hotel set in such beautiful grounds.
The bedrooms were quite warm so it was a little difficult to sleep comfortably. We opened a window and turned off the radiator in the end

The location is amazing. The building is beautiful and the historical aspects of the house are very interesting.
The room was very small and the windows were frosted. The window would only open a few inches and the view was over the kitchen and the rubbish bins. The extractor from the kitchen was both noisy and smelly which was unpleasant, We had expected to eat dinner in 'Hills Kitchen' the more relaxed of the restaurants but were told that the menu is unavailable although that is not the information on the website. Had we been staying any longer we would have refused to stay in that room. I find it difficult to believe that it would cost almost £200 to stay in such a small room without a view particularly as we were told the next morning that the hotel was not busy. Surely this room should be a last resort and at a discount price.
