Lovely place, good location

Wonderful place. Spacious room, solid bathroom, able to use small kitchen downstairs with a microwave. Friendly doggo too! Owner was lovely.

Nothing much really! Just that it’s maybe not quite a BnB, it’s more self-catering, but maybe it says that when you book, and anyways that suited us just fine.

Very disappointing and hugely expensive for what was offered

Location was good and the place was quiet. Breakfast was not provided, although there were facilities to make your own breakfast with some supplies provided

Place was very disappointing for the huge price paid. Blind broken in bedroom, toilet roll holder broken in bathroom, bare bulb (no lampshade) in the hall, no atmosphere

Pretty accomadation, calm and accessible

If you are looking for an inexpensive, no frills option with a great location, this is a good option

The host was lovely and very kind and the location was excellent. The price was inexpensive compared to other B&B's

The B&B, in my opinion was not as nice as some of the B&B's I've stayed at in the US & others in Ireland but the price was inexpensive compared to other B&B's. I guess that is the trade off. The beds were ok in terms of comfort but the pillows were not comfortable, they were stiff and hard. The room and bathrooms were very clean but there was no room turn down or cleaning on a daily basis like I have had with other B&B's. As for breakfast, there was coffee, tea, milk, bread and eggs provided with a toaster & egg cooker but not what one would expect for a Bed & Breakfast (in my humble opinion and experience).

A cozy, comfortable and clean homelike place to stay. The landlady Mary is knowledgable and helpful.

The room was big enough for the both me and my sister and our twin beds. There was a nice wardrobe with plenty of hangars and shelving. An electric kettle and tea is provided in the rooms. The bathroom was good, with a good sized walk in shower with excellent water pressure. There was a comfortable lounge area for guests, and also a very nice dining area and kitchen with a walk out patio solely for guests. Although due to Covid there is no longer a prepared breakfast, the kitchen is stocked with cereal, bread, eggs, milk, tea and coffee etc and guest can make themselves a full breakfast if they choose. The Landlady Mary is very helpful and friendly. Carranross House is a very homey and cozy place to stay.

Although my sister and I didn't mind a bit of a walk, some guests might prefer to be a little closer to the center of Killarney. However, it is only about a fifteen minute walk to be right in the middle of the action in Killarney, and the bus/train station is only a ten minute walk, so we were fine with the location, so I really can't say that this is something I didn't like. It is just something those who would rather not walk as much should consider.

Nice neighborhood. Very close to Restaurants and Pubs. Great Host!

Mary the Host was very helpful and gave us a lot of valuable tips especially on our Ring of Kerry road trip. She also left us some food to prepare breakfast ourselves even though this was not included. Rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable.

The position is not bad but is about fifteen minutes walk from the centre so is not so clear I expected.
