About this house rental

Location: Josephine, Alabama located on Arnica Bay, the Intercoastal Waterway. The property is across from Bear Point, down from Pirate's Cove and adjacent to Ono Island.

Accommodations: 9 bedrooms, 5.5 baths, two large kitchens, and two large great rooms with one sofa sleeper. The property now sleeps 20 comfortably.

If you are looking for a large and exquisite vacation home on the Alabama Gulf Coast, you have come to the right place. Perdido Key, Orange Beach, and Gulf Shores are just minutes away. The Jones Family Beach House, in Josephine, Alabama, is an ideal place - not only a boater's paradise, but a boater's wife and children's paradise as well. Nearby Marinas include Orange Beach Marina, Sportsman's Marina, and Barber Marine. Touching Arnica Bay, and Perdido Bay to the south, it's just a few minutes to Perdido Pass Bridge and the deep blue waters of the Gulf of America. The Intercoastal Waterway makes dining by boat a breeze. Motor or sail to the docks of Owa, Lulu's, Tacky Jack's, or Cobalt's just to name a few. Have you ever been to the movies or a concert by boat? Now you can! The Wharf is just a short boat ride away. Want exciting night life? Cruise to the Flora Bama for live music or grab a World-famous cheeseburger at neighboring Pirate's Cove. Bring your boat and you will find paradise just off your private mooring and private dock. A Public boat launch is less than a mile away.

Watch the dolphins swim as your kids romp and play. See the mullet jump, catch speckled trout, and trap blue crabs. Cook in our outdoor area on a gas grill. Maybe you want to smoke ribs or roast a full pig on the open bar-b-que brick pit. Perhaps a low-country shrimp boil is what you have in mind with the two large picnic tables. Crawfish boils are fun too!

You will also enjoy your stay on the sprawling 7 acres making it ideal for nature walks, and long bike rides. Bare feet and smiling faces guaranteed. Sunsets and memories you will never forget.

So, bring your babies and your in-laws. There's plenty of space and privacy for everyone. You'll know when you've arrived because the sandy road to paradise is paved with palmettos, magnolias and pines. Pull under the house and step foot into the mud room area. Leave all of your troubles in here. Just a few steps to the second floor, and you will enter into a spacious, large open cooking, dining, and gathering area. The balcony and the view are perfect for coffee and cocktails. There are three bedrooms and 1.5 baths in this area. The washer and dryer are accessible from this floor. Take just a few more steps to the third floor, and you will enter into 'space heaven'. Six more bedrooms, four additional bathrooms, and a second kitchen and great room lend itself for multi-family gatherings. This is an even better view of sailboats and sport fishing boats.

Activity, activity, activity! This is the 'Snapper Capital' of the World. Deep sea and sailboat charters are readily available. Inshore day fishing charters are available for plenty of specks and reds. Motorboat rentals and dolphin cruises are literally at your back door.

Our extended family of 17 people had such a wonderful time of fellowship, fun, and relaxation at this beautiful beach house in July. It is obvious how much the owners love and care for this home! From comfortable and beautifully decorated bedrooms, a kitchen well stocked with everything you need to make delicious meals, to beautiful views of the bay each evening watching the sunset, this home is definitely one we will book again!Our group had 8 children, ages 4-12 and they made so many memories playing in the calm and shallow waters of the bay and catching hermit crabs for their “crabitat!” Our brother in law enjoyed fishing on the dock while the other adults lounged in the shade of the large porch, watching the kids play on the beach. There were definitely some core memories made on this trip and we can’t stop talking about the fun we had! We had planned some excursions only 20 minutes away, but we decided to stay at the house that day because of all the fun and relaxation the home provides. No one wanted to leave! One afternoon, we did go on a dolphin tour which was excellent! I would recommend that if you’ve never gone on one before. Pete and Ashley went out of their way to make us feel welcome and emailed us lots of helpful information in advance which was thoughtful and appreciated. I can’t say we have ever had a VRBO experience as amazing as this one was- it was truly something special. We can’t wait to visit the Jones family beach house again!

Our group of 16 adults and children found this home to be exactly what we needed. There was plenty of room for everyone. It was a great quiet neighborhood. The two kitchens were convenient. We enjoyed the pier for fishing and crabbing and enjoyed the water for swimming and dolphin watching. There were lots of amenities for water enjoyment and yard games. The location was ideal to travel to all of our daily adventures. The hosts were in constant communication and attentive to all of our needs. We highly recommend and would definitely consider this property again in the future.

Our stay was beyond our imagination. There was 16 of us and this place was filled with PEACE as we entered the house. It was so spacious and being on the water was an added treat. My family is definitely looking to return. Ashley was wonderful and very responsive to my text or phone call. I feel like I met a new friend. Give this place a try, you won’t be disappointed.

We enjoyed our time at the house. We had 12 people in our group and there was a ton of space! The sand area was nice for the kids. They swam and made sand castles all while never having to leave the house. We saw stingrays and dolphins from the pier. Just a short drive to the gulf for a dolphin cruise or to catch some waves.

This house was perfect for our family get together. It was clean and well supplied! We had four generations staying there and all of them had a great time. The hosts are amazing and were very quick to respond. We will be staying here again in the future! I can’t say enough good things about this house. Having nine bedrooms was so nice so everyone had their own space. The yard was well kept and the kids were able to run around and play games without a care in the world. This is the perfect place to relax and enjoy some family time!!

The house was beautiful and plenty big enough to accommodate our party of 18. We have rented several homes from VRBO and this was by far the best. We had 4 generations of family, making wonderful memories. The house was stocked better than any we have stayed in. The host were very friendly and kind, checking on Us throughout the week. The children had a blast swimming in the bay, and watching the dolphins from the balcony. Thank you so much Ashley and Pete Jones for allowing our family to stay in your beautiful home. You made us feel like family. Would definitely recommend this place to others.

We couldn’t have been happier with our time spent here. The house was perfect for our large family (we’ve struggled finding rental houses in the past that don’t feel cramped). Ashley and Pete were very welcoming, responsive to our questions/concerns, and were willing to bend over backwards to make our trip comfortable. The children ended up having more fun in the small beach area next to the pier than the larger Gulf Shore beaches nearby.

We had the best stay! This house is large, roomy and accommodating. We had 10 adults and 4 children under the age of 8. No one felt crowded. The outdoor space was great! We loved having the water right in the back yard for swimming and fishing. Would definitely recommend this home for rental. The host family was so easy to communicate with and answered any and all questions we had.

The Jones family house is absolute perfection! There was plenty of space & our favorite spot was enjoying the breeze on the deck. Kids loved riding waves on the boogie boards & seeing dolphins. Fishing & crabbing off the pier was also a big hit with our group. Definitely recommend & we'll be back!

This property was amazing! We had a party of 17 and there was plenty of room for everyone! My nephew brought his fishing boat, so the men could fish every day while the women and kids hit the beach! He loved being able to just tie his boat up at the Jones peir! The men loved the outdoor grilling are right by the water. The communication with the property owners was phenomenal! Could not have asked for a better experience!

Our family of 13 stayed here and it was wonderful. The location and the view of the bay is just perfect. My kids loved swimming in the bay, fishing (we caught lots of catfish) and crab hunting at night (lots and lots of crabs on the dock at night). We rented a boat and visited a public beach but mostly appreciated having so much space and a fully stocked home. It really felt like we were at home we were so comfortable. The appliances are not brand new (not a complaint, they worked just fine) and the home is not immaculately clean (it was sufficiently clean for our family, but could use a good deep cleaning). But overall, we really loved this home and would come back in a heartbeat if we could!

We had a small family reunion of 15 people and rented the property for about 5 days. The hosts were amazing in their excellent communication before, during, and after our stay. We had lots of questions and they were very prompt and helpful in answering them and making recommendations that helped make our stay a great one. The house is perfect for a gathering like ours with a large great room on the main floor with comfortable seating, a well-equipped kitchen, and seating for 14 at tables and more at the bar. The bedrooms were all very nice. All the spaces were well-maintained and just perfect for different family events. The upstairs kitchen and living room came in very handy as we prepared large meals. The yard is very large with lots of shade and places to sit, cook, and eat by the water. We had a shrimp boil right on the waterfront! There's also plenty of parking and very clear instructions about dealing with things like garbage and recycle. I would recommend this property without any hesitation!

Love this property & house! 9 bedrooms, 3 with ensuites, plus 2 & 1/2 more bathrooms. Large open floor plan for gathering, cooking, & dinning And playing Phase 10 card game. We enjoyed grilling outside & we brought our standup large double propane burner for cooking fish & fries that were caught on fish charter with Hey Boy II. Tied our boat up next to the long pier, very convenient. Short drive to Orange Beach for fun at the beach. Our family had a wonderful weekend and many hated to leave. Ashley & Pete Jones were very accommodating & pleasant. I personally enjoyed the hammock, so relaxing. Have 2 kitchens & living rooms was a plus. We would definitely stay at Jones Family House again and recommend this property to everyone needing a large house with pleanty of bedrooms, bathrooms, and parking. We had a wonderful time. It is a great place for multiple families. They have everything you could ever need. We enjoyed fishing from the pier and swimming from the shore. We enjoyed sitting by the water on the patio as well as on the porch. The layout of the house was perfect for large gatherings. The kitchen was amazing for the cooking of our large meals. The appliances dishwasher and everything all worked great. We used the gas grill as well. We enjoyed the open concept with the kitchen family room and dining. We appreciated the large dining table to accommodate our family. The location was great, just 30 minutes to Gulf Shores public beaches

This is the perfect place to relax and fish. Great for family and just enjoying down time. The owners had an amazing key lime cake there waiting for us. I just was very happy with them getting right back to us with any questions we had. Would stay again in a minute.

Trash compactor and garbage disposal were a plus. Only complaints was that stovetops and ovens are older and did not work consistently, and there was no ice machine to replenish ice chests. I would definitely recommend this place.

Check was very easy and there was great communication with the owners. Any kink was worked out immediately. The kids played, swam, fished, watched the dolphins play. We had great boat access, we rented a pontoon and brought it right up to the house. The kitchen was very well stocked and the view was spectacular.

Everyone that wanted their own room was able to have one. We loved sitting on the porch and looking out over the water and the kids loved fishing off of the dock.
