It was a beautiful beach view. We were right on the beach. The sunrises were beautiful. The cottage had all around windows so any window you looked out you had a beautiful view.

This is a fabulous place. Two walls of the living area and one wall of the main bedroom are filled with huge picture windows, giving you incredibly gorgeous, nonstop views of the bay—from all over the house. I’d rent this place again for the views alone. But I hope to rent it again for many other reasons, too: a well-stocked kitchen, a very nice and responsive owner, thoughtful amenities, charming decor, and welcoming touches through out. It is wonderful place for a vacation.

The cottage was perfect inside and out. The view was priceless. The driveway is narrow and steep but provided the privacy we wanted. The only problem I can think of was our time there was too short. Thank you for letting us stay in this gem you have in Sooke, BC.We will definitely come again :)

Loved this quaint little getaway place. Everything about this quirky little home was perfect. There were 5 of us and we had the best time. We enjoyed a constant fire inside and outside on the beach. Its private and very peaceful ✌️.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Sea Wash cabin. It was the perfect spot by the water that truly made you feel like you were in your own little world. The place had almost everything we needed, it advertised a travel crib that we were planning on using as well as a high chair but they were not on the premise. We were able to find our own solutions so didn’t bother the host. It was a great place where we could enjoy some alone time after the kiddos went to bed. We would recommend this place to people and would love to come back!!

My husband and I loved the cottage and the everchanging scenery. From wake up calls from the geese to low tides where you could walk the beach. The house is beautifully appointedfor every need. Only issue was trying to find a chair or couch that had a little support. In the living room. But overall a great visit. Thank you.

This cottage is wonderful. The decor is lovely. Beds, bedding and lines are comfy. Eveything you could need in the kitchen and bathrooms. The owner has kayaks and fishing gear. The setting is idyllic. From the cottage we saw otters, deer, geese and a bald eagle. My son caught trout from the pier. Loved being in Sooke away from the bustle of Victoria which is just a short drive away. Don’t miss out on going to the Potholes. If you drive just outside of Sooke to the west be sure to go to China Beach and Mystic Beach. From the cottage itself to the property and setting it’s perfect in so many ways.

This is our 2nd stay and we hope to make it an annual tradition. Seawash feels like home away from home. Every little touch that the house offers provides a cozy, yet luxurious, stay. Kitchen is stocked well, you only need to bring food. Ample room for the adults and the teens to spread out and have space. And most importantly, a hot tub to start and end the day with. Shelley is a kind and thoughtful host, we can’t wait to return!

We had a wonderful time staying at the cottage. This was our first trip as a family of four and I forgot to mention our need for a pack and play and high chair when booking. I had no problem contacting Shelly who was extremely accommodating and I was able to grab them from the property immediately. My 15 month old loved standing in front of the open French doors and just looking out, she was so happy with all the windows and breathtaking views. So much to do at the cottage and surrounding area for families with young children. We will be coming back!

We absolutely loved our stay here! Quaint little cottage that was beautifully situated and right on the water! Very well equipped with everything we needed plus some. Beds were very comfortable and we all slept amazing every night! We would definitely consider staying here again should we be in the area. We made great use of the kayaks as well and we’re thankful there were plenty of life jackets as we forgot ours. Also enjoyed the sea otters and sea lions as well as a little visit from a deer on the driveway. Many thanks for another great vacation week for our family!

This cottage was exactly what we needed. Beautiful location, private and clean. It was cooler weather when we stayed so we loved having a fire in the morning to take the chill off and relaxing in the hot tub over-looking the bay. Sooke is beautiful little town, laid back, no hustle and bustle, great hiking and the fresh seafood was delicious. This little cottage is a gem and we definitely will be back.

This is a really lovely seaside cottage that is clean and bright with lots of character. We especially enjoyed drinking our coffee in the mornings while sitting, looking out at the water and watching all the marine life and birds pass by. The hot tub got a fair bit of use as well, nice to relax in the bubbling water at night, looking up at the stars. They have everything you could possibly need for your stay, the kitchen was well stocked and there was also lots of food and condiment items to get you through your first days, although you don't really need to worry about groceries as the grocery store, (and bakery), are a ten minute walk away. The owners kindly offered us the use of their crab net and although we didn't use it, we also noticed some kayaks and a row boat down by the fire pit. All towels and bedding was provided along with various travel size soaps, etc. The beds and pillows were all comfortable and the place is very quiet considering how close to town it is. Communication with the owners was easy and friendly, we gave some of the plants outside a little drink of water because it was beautiful and sunny our whole week. I would highly recommend Sea Wash Cottage and our family would be happy to come back here for another stay some day. Lovely cottage, thanks for letting us enjoy your home! Gillian

We had to end up leaving due to ants in bed and and around house due to lack of cleanliness . Host promised Hot tub would be ready but was left uncleaned and full of sand . Dishes were not cleaned properly and the worst one was finding the towels in bathroom with brown stains on them The host promised basically all our money back and then charged us a cleaning fee and host fees We should have gotten a full refund based on the Condition of this place . But only got partial of the amount promised . I will never use the service again and will steer everyone away from staying at this place . Absolutely terrible communication by the host aswell.

This property exceeded my expectations to have a quiet and magical Christmas with my family. The cabin was exquisite with the furnishings and decor, Shelley even had little splashes of Christmas decorations. Would highly recommend staying at this cabin on the ocean.

This is our 4th or 5th time staying at Sea Wash Cottage and as always, it didn’t disappoint. Shelley was quick to respond to my questions during the booking process and upon arrival, we found the cottage clean, warm and inviting. Lots of wood was provided for the fire, and all the amenities needed to make delicious meals were easily found in the kitchen. The beds and pillows are heavenly - all in all, another fabulous, restorative long weekend. We will be back!

I'm not sure I've ever seen our kids (ages 5 and 10) relax the way they did here. They never even wanted to leave to explore or go to dinner, preferring to eat all meals on the lovely patio and spend the rest of the day watching wildlife, working a puzzle, playing games, and just enjoying time together. We will cherish the time we spent in this lovely spot and have so many fun memories we will carry with us for a lifetime. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us!

Loved our stay in Sooke. The cottage was cute and comfortable. Lots of light and ocean view from multiple windows. Very clean, wild flowers and fresh herbs in the garden. Hot yup while looking at the ocean. It was a great place to relax and enjoy our vacation.
