Beautiful house with gorgeous pond and hiking trails on property! Host was very good about communicating regarding property. Thoughtful touches: muffins, seltzer, fruit for guests along with well-appointed kitchen. Outdoor deck. About a half an hour from downtown Victoria. Note that host controls the heating/cooling but is available to adjust.

Myself, my parents, and our two dogs stayed here and absolutely loved it!! We were a short drive to Victoria (didn't have enough time to explore Sooke or Metchosin this time), and sometimes didn't even want to leave as there was so much to do at the house! It was so quiet and peaceful. We loved the hot tub, pond with floaties, hammock, trail to walk the pups, the incredible deck to watch the sunset, and berry picking. The kitchen was wonderful and had everything we needed to make a special birthday dinner for my dad or anything else! Jo-Ann and Rob were wonderful hosts, fantastic communication. 100/10, would stay here again in a heartbeat!

We had the most amazing family getaway here! The design of the place is stunning – you can tell they thought of every little detail. The private lake was absolutely perfect and so relaxing, and we loved the special treats of delicious cookies and muffins. Everything made us feel so welcome and cared for. This place is wonderful! Jo-Ann made us feel so welcomed. Her place is beautifully equipped,including welcoming fruits and sweet treats. After a long day of travel,we enjoyed a dip in Hidden Pond followed by a relaxing soak in the hot tub. Our only regret was that we didn’t bring our children and grandchildren with us to enjoy this wonderful spot.

Seriously great stay if you are looking for a place to relax in nature, bring a family or have a pet. The natural pond was an absolute hit for our dog, kids and grown ups! Lots of floating toys, a dock to jump in from, plenty of seating/ lounging options and beautiful landscaping at every turn. We actually gave up many of our out and about plans just to stay and play in the pond. We loved the well stocked fire pit. The hot tub was nice and toasty. The rentals deck was huge and again had many seating options, a dining table and clean BBQ with spare propane. The beds were clean and comfy. All kitchen supplies were there along with plenty of spices and some common condiments - so you don't have to go buy them :) The owners are super nice. They helped us find some great local things to do and made sure our entire stay from pre-arrival to exit was above and beyond expectations. I would definitely go back to Hidden Pond.

What an incredible property and incredible hosts! I would highly recommend staying at the Hidden Pond. We had children, adults and dogs and everyone enjoyed it equally. I would also say it would be worth it to have a day with light plans to be able to enjoy the property.

Such an amazing spot for our first visit to Canada! The pond was a blast! My kiddos loved kayaking/swimming and finding frogs & salamanders. I loved spending time in the balcony and listening to the birds. Our kiddos loved the fire pit and the playhouse in the blueberry garden. Plenty of space for the 4 of us and the bunk beds were a huge hit! Everything was lovely and we can’t wait to come back!

The hidden pond is a great gem and the way they have developed it. When we arrived there were great treats and you can tell the hosts have a gift of hospitality.We thought we were renting the entire property, just to be clear the owners stay on the top floor (they are very nice), this rental is for the middle floor, and then they have a second part of the house that is rented separately… so there are three sets families there. Our expectations were for complete seclusion so that took us by surprise as we saw people at the pond and talked with them for awhile/. Our expectations were being alone there…. So just wanted to be clear on that. If those are expectations then you will be great and love it. We had a couple of questions while we were there and the owners were very responsive and helpful. Definitely would stay here again, very well finished apartment with lots of space for the 6 person crew with which we were traveling .Our kids loved the paddle boards, huge rubber ducky floaty and stretching out in the pond.We loved the location and the town of Metchosjn was very close… loved the main restaurant there and we went to Haitley Castle and Park and loved that too. Definitely would do the stay again! Thank y’all

I stayed here with my Mom, kids, brother and his wife. The suite was beautiful, and we had access to their pond and hot tub. I assumed it would be the full home because I booked through VRBO, but the home owners live upstairs. I slept in the bunk bed room with my kids, but my Mom said it was really loud in her room with people walking around upstairs in the evening and morning. Otherwise stunning location and home.

We stayed here for a work retreat so we didn't fully use all of the amenities. Nonetheless, it was a beautiful place to be.The directions were clear to get to the house. The road off the highway has barely any street lights. So when it rains, drive slower as it is really dark and somewhat windy.The house was fully stocked and then some. The hosts provided a lot of extras (especially the kitchen) that weren't in the listing so in some ways, we overpacked. Next time, we'll make sure to email first and ask. Otherwise, it is a very roomy, yet cozy house. It can get a little noisy with the footsteps and pets from upstairs. It was fine for us but if you are a light sleeper, be prepared. That's about the only thing we can think of that could be an issue. Otherwise, the house is perfect. We would love to come back in the future.

My family of 8 from Victoria had a staycation just before Christmas. Even though it was rainy we still enjoyed the pond area and trails. A short drive to groceries and Witty’s Lagoon. We didn’t get to make full use of the fire pit or hot tub but imagine it would be great in good weather.Bedding in the side room was ok enough for two nights and the kitchen had everything we needed. The pantry had lots of basic spices and cooking supplies. They had a small selection of board games and enough seating for all of us to watch movies comfortably.Though it wasn’t a concern for us, the owner/people on the other side of the wall dog could be heard in the evening - maybe other people would mind more.Speaking of, Jo-Ann was very welcoming, answered questions quickly, and overall made us feel comfortable staying at their place. They seem to have a good operation!

The suite is incredibly clean and comfortable. The bedrooms are huge with multiple seating options and the unit had everything we could possibly need. We were pleasantly surprised with a tray of baked goods and a full fruit bowl at check in. The host was great to deal with and answered our questions and concerns in a timely fashion. We did find the location a little remote, which would have been okay if the weather cooperated more. It rained quite hard for most of our stay so we ended up spending both days travelling into Victoria; about 40 minutes by car. Another thing to note is that the host lives upstairs and footsteps can be heard often; not recommended if you are a light sleeper as it was disruptive early in the morning.

We were a group of 7 friends in town for the Victoria Marathon. We stayed at Hidden Pond and although it was slightly out of town (about 35 mins from downtown Victoria) it was the perfect place to prep before and relax after. We loved the hottub and the relaxing outdoor furniture and large outdoor table where we had a big thanksgiving dinner after the rcae. Rob was super friendly and responsive and the place was huge, clean, and had so many lovely special touches!

Our stay was verry pleasurable. The facility was beyond our expectations. The drive to Hidden Pond from Victoria was not bad, takes you away from all the lights and sounds of the city to a quiet and peaceful location. Seven of us stayed and really enjoyed Hidden Pond. the beds were all very comfortable, the kitchen amenities were more than adequate, and the living room was spacious and very comfortable. All of us agreed this was a very good choice and highly recommend to any looking for clean and peaceful surroundings after a full day of being a tourist. My wife and I have been to Victoria five times now but this was the first visit for our daughter and son-in-law and three grandchildren. This was a visit that all will cherish for years to come and was made even more special by our stay at Hidden Pond.

The property was nice in the woods, the home was spacious and great for large group. Sadly we were awoken in the morning to owners dogs barking when the door opened. The dogs luckily were quite throughout the night. We wanted to use the hottub but it felt super weird as it was on the owners deck and their window was open. Owners were responsive and responded to our messages and responded promptly. We had a wonderful mini vacation at Hidden Pond. Our hosts were great at communicating with us, right from the time of our booking to responding to a few questions that we had and during our stay. The entire suite is really beautiful and you can see the care and attention that went into decorating it. They really thought of all the little details. We had such a great time swimming and floating on the pond and enjoyed our walks around the property. There is even (a very clean) porta-potty nearby to use so you don't have to walk all the way up the hill to use the washroom. We would bring our snacks and refreshments in a small cooler and stay down by the pond for hours, there is equal amounts of sun & shaded areas to enjoy. *The only thing we would add is that for future stays, it would be great to have a 12-cup coffee maker provided, as there was only a French press, and we really just wanted to press a button to brew, no fuss or muss! The hot tub was a short walk up a small hill through a little garden filled with blueberries and flowers. The hot tub fits 4 people comfortably with seating around the edge, & white fluffy robes are even provided. We will definitely be returning to this great place. Many thanks to our hosts!

We were so happy to have found this wonderful property. The house is beautiful and it has everything anyone needs to feel comfortable and at home. The pond was amazing and my teenage kids had a blast with the row boat and flamingo. I would recommend this property to anyone who is looking to get away and relax. The property owners were very nice and available since day one but we really didn’t need anything because they did such a great job making us feel welcome.
