Completely self-contained, exterior access, separate air-system 1-bedroom suite.

Bright, newly renovated and fully furnished. Access via side of west side house, has its own separate, private patio. Full kitchenette, bathroom and in-suite laundry. Secure access through private path and patio.

Convenient location close to 33rd & Mackenzie Street gives you access to shops and transit - 200 feet from bus stop with 1-stop bus to downtown Vancouver, beaches, UBC, Pacific Spirit Park and other great amenities. There is street parking available for 1 vehicle in front of The Suite. More than 1 guest car becomes a little inconvenient for our neighbours, so we ask that if you have a vehicle, that you please park it directly in front of The Suite. City street parking in our neighbourhood is free of charge.

The property is super clean, perfectly appointed with everything we needed. The washer & dryer so nice complete with drying rack. Nice storage available. We felt safe walking in the neighborhood which is beautiful and the bus system is close and convenient. Owner and host was accommodating, full of useful information, attentive and very kind. Thank you for providing a lovely stay in Vancouver.

Very well equipped. I liked the full size fridge and the fact you could record programming on the TV. The only downside was the noise. Not from the neighbourhood, but from upstairs. Sounds carried very easily down to the suite. For example, it seemed like chairs moving (scraping?) across the floor upstairs was amplified to the suite and footsteps could be heard easily. Unfortunately on weekdays this started as early as 6:15am. Except for the noise the place was perfect. 4 out of 5.

From the time we booked the VRBO, Shawn was very welcoming and helpful. Shawn greeted us when we arrived. He answered many of our questions about the area and offered suggestions on places to see and places to eat.The VRBO itself is beautiful, clean, and comfortable. A lovely tin container of local chocolates awaits you upon arrival. The kitchen is equipped with ample dishes, cutlery, quality pots, small appliances, a dishwasher, a stove/oven, and a full-sized fridge. A variety of free streaming services were available on the TV. In addition, guests have their own protected outdoor sitting area with a little bistro table and chairs. This area is flanked by two ‘living walls’.The neighbourhood is beautiful and quiet. We enjoyed walking around and admiring the lovely gardens and interesting architecture. There are a few shops within a 3-minute walk. The bus service (a 3-minute walk) runs regularly to the north (downtown Vancouver) and southwest to a little neighbourhood on 41st Street called Kerrisdale, which has lots of shops and services.We would highly recommend Shawn’s VRBO, and we hope to stay there again someday. Thanks, Shawn, for facilitating to make our visit to Vancouver such a wonderful and memorable time.

My wife and I stayed for 4 nights in this comfortable basement suit with our almost-2-yr-old. The location was excellent, with easy access to transit, street parking out front, and plenty of amenities within walking distance (including a park for the little one). The unit was clean and very well equipped, and the temperature remained comfortable even during a fairly warm week. Our host was gracious and friendly, greeting us as we arrived and touring us around the unit to make sure we were comfortable. They checked in on us a couple of times during our stay as our paths crossed to ensure we had everything we needed, and communication was great both before and during the stay. We feel that we really lucked out finding this listing! It was so much more comfortable for our little family than a hotel would have been. A big thank you to our hosts!

The linens and towels were high thread count and crisp white. Bed ultra comfy as was the apartment’s design. Fully loaded kitchen and bathroom. Lovely to have the French doors open and to hear the water fountain in the garden on my little patio. I can’t wait to return next week after Van Island.

We had such a wonderful stay in Shawn’s basement suite. The place was very tidy and spacious, and Shawn had a box of chocolates and teas and coffee waiting for us upon arrival. He was very friendly, responsive and helpful, and offered us herbs from his garden! The neighbourhood was beautiful and very safe, with lots of cute cafes nearby and is not far from kits beach. I will definitely be back!!

I booked this accommodation for my 2 nieces (ages 16 and 23) from Germany. This is what they had to say: "Our stay at Shawn's and Crystal's place was very pleasant. The flat was very clean and very well equipped. The kitchen had all necessary items to cook and there was even a washing machine and dryer for laundry in the flat. There was also a cute little "back porch" to sit outside of the flat when the weather was nice. Shawn was a very kind and caring host. He thoroughly explained everything in the flat to us and offered us to contact him at any time when we had any questions. He also gave us advice on which places were worth seeing in Vancouver as we were there for pleasure. As two young girls, we felt very safe and well taken care of. Unfortunately, we had rainy weather during our stay which Shawn felt very sorry for. At our departure, he offered us a lift to the city centre. As we weren't able to see many beautiful places of the city due to the rain, he gave us a long "sight seeing" tour through Vancouver on the way to the city center, so we could at least see them once from the car. He really went above and beyond in making sure we had a good experience! Despite the rain, we had a great time in beautiful Vancouver. Highly recommend, as it is a neat place with very kind and caring hosts."

The location was in the tranquil neighborhood of Mackenzie Heights. Lovely homes on a very quiet street. The kitchen was small but functional. Great for preparing breakfast and making lunch for our day’s activities. As we didn’t have a vehicle, we were able to locate an EVO car within a few blocks from our accommodation. The bedroom was small but comfortable. The temperature was just right for a good night's sleep. Our friendly hosts were always available for inquiries. They even provided a lovely bottle of brut rosé for my wife’s 60th birthday. We would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting the beautiful city of Vancouver.
