This property was exactly as the listing noted. It was very clean, in good condition and AMAZING location with all amenities nearby. Thanks to the owners for making it a very special stay. We would definitely stay here again!

Location can’t get any better. Clean property with all of the amenities you could need. Julia was amazing to deal with and the property was beautiful, relaxing and clean. We had our 3 kids with us and having the laundry and full kitchen was handy. Parking was never an issue also. Would definitely stay here again.

My family of 6 (ages 11-42) just stayed here for the week. The location was excellent. We found a lot to do and were within about 20 minutes in all directions of Stanley Park, multiple beautiful beaches and a lot of restaurants and sights to see. Julia was a pleasure to deal with during check in, thruout our stay & check out. She provided us with beach towels upon request which was great for our days at the beach. The house is clean, comfortable, nicely decorated and felt like home. Beds were comfortable & pictures are exactly what you get! We were able to park on the street as we had a large suv and were always able to find a spot no problem. There is a parking stall at the house which would fit a regular car or small suv. Beautiful neighbourhood all around. Thank you so much to Julia & Mike. Beautiful property. We HIGHLY recommend Mi Casa Mexicana on Burrard. We went there twice for dinner! Wonderful & Authentic.

This is the second time we have stayed at this property together with our dog. Well-located and nicely decorated and maintained laneway home. Quiet, yet close to busier streets with lots of amenities. We will be back.

This is a lovely coach house in a fantastic location in Kitsilano. We had our dog with us and felt safe walking her in the area at all hours. The unit is bright and clean and was well stocked with towels and linens. Beds were comfy and everything worked. It’s clear this home is well cared for. We would love to stay here again next time.

Trouble free oasis in sweet community not far from the beach

Julia and Mike went the extra mile. Efficient use of square footage. Beautifully constructed. Super clean. It had everything we needed. A few steps from all the shopping we needed: food, haircuts, banking. restaurants, parks, the ocean only 10 short blocks.

We loved our stay in the coach house. We had a nice little family dinner one night and it was so comfortable. Julia was also an absolute pleasure to deal with. Great walkable neighbourhood.

The property is just as described with a great location. I was very sick during my stay and spent far more time in bed than I would have liked. Thank goodness for a comfy bed and lots of pillows. The place is well stocked, lots of towels, and everything needed in the kitchen. I will stay here again.

Good location and layout

Genius, beautiful design plus thoughtful hosting meant that this coach house has everything we could possibly desire during our weekend stay. Great location, responsive and patient host. 10/10.

This is a nice little property in a good location. We walked most everywhere. Close to Broadway and 4th where all the Kits action is. The home was good. We might stay again.

A wonderful stay in a cozy clean coahhouse with a host who thought of everything. We will definitely stay here again.

The place was absolutely perfect. It felt like home and the owners are always there to assist if you have any questions. We enjoyed every minute and had a wonderful thanksgiving with our daughters who live here ... now back to Calgary and the snow :(

The guest house was the perfect location for our family of four to visit Vancouver. We had debated staying downtown, but after visiting Vancouver and seeing Kits and downtown, we're glad we chose Kits. It's a very family friendly, safe, and walkable community when you have young children (ours are 14 and 8). We were able to find a family friendly restaurant with good food each night we were there. The guest house is in walking distance to a supermarket, coffee shops, restaurants and buses to downtown. The guest house itself is very clean and had everything we needed for our stay, including for cooking. It's also charming, well-designed, and cozy.

You can't beat this location and design of this house! Close to UBC and within walking distance of amazing restaurants and shops. This home is even better than it looks in the pictures. The bathroom has a deep, jetted tub that was great for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. Our kids really appreciated the use of the shared trampoline.

Great little cottage in a great neighborhood. Short walk to lots of amenities. Great home base for exploring not only Kitsilano, but other nearby neighborhoods. Would stay there again for sure.

We were a family of 4 + our hound staying for 2 nights in Kitsilano. Great location close to restaurants, shops and public transport. The coach house is nicely decorated and equipped, and proved to be a good size for the four of us. Highly recommend.

We just returned from an 8-night stay at the Avalon Coach House and it was wonderful. We are a family of 4, with 2 teenagers, and the home was just right for us. Julia was kind enough to make up an extra twin bed in one room, so our kids each had their own bed. The neighborhood is charming and quiet, we slept great, the beds are comfy and the size of the coach house was great for vacation - way better than a hotel room. We did a small amount of cooking and the kitchen is very well stocked. There are grocery stores nearby (including a Safeway) and our kids enjoyed venturing out on their own for breakfast fixings and macaron cookies (Bon Macaron Patisserie!). The neighborhood has so much to offer in terms of restaurants (we loved breakfast at Chewies Biscuit Co and Jam Cafe), shopping and wondering. We rented a car for 3 of our 8 days and there is a parking spot next to the coach house. It allowed us to get up to Lynn Canyon (hiking and suspension bridge), Deep Cove (hike to Quarry Rock), Squamish (Sea to Sky Gondola and suspension bridge). Without the car, we definitely logged some miles on foot, even walking to Granville Island a couple times (lots to see along the way so it wasn't bad at all). Taxis are affordable, so a combination of walking and taxis worked well for us. For our family, we much preferred to be in a local neighborhood instead of downtown in a high-rise, you get a feel for local life and away from the touristy shops and noise. We spent plenty of time running around all over, but were grateful to come home to the guest house every night. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at the Avalon Coach House! Julia and Mike are wonderful hosts and responsive to any and all questions we had. Location is spectacular, walking distance to many parks/playgrounds in addition to several restaurants/stores (W. Broadway is only 2 blocks away). It is also a great launching off point to the main attractions of Vancouver by car, which made traveling with small children very convenient. It was a nice touch to be welcomed to a full fruit bowl, milk and cream in the fridge and beautiful potted orchids upon arrival. We were especially pleased with the layout of the house, which is not obvious through the pictures that are posted on the listing: The main floor is exactly as pictured - comfortable living/dining room with small kitchen (perfect for us as we didn't cook all that much in such a great foodie town, but still had the comforts of a fully stocked kitchen, mainly for breakfasts and takeout meals when we wanted to stay in). The upper floor pictures don't do the place justice: the bedroom to the right was well designed to have a sitting/lounging chair perfect for feeding our baby (it is also a single fold out bed) as well as a large flat shelf/sitting area by the main window which served as our diaper changing station. This room is also large enough to comfortably fit a pack n play for our infant with plenty of room to spare. The second bedroom was perfect for our 4 year old, equipped with a small desk that also served as a makeshift drawing/coloring area for our child. The bathroom is also nice for a small house, we think it would be helpful to take a photograph of it for potential guests as it is well constructed and equipped - jetted tub with handheld shower head and good shelf space for toiletries and bath toys. As stated by another guest, the upstairs does get quite warm (even when it was only about 60F outside) - although the electric fans help, it would be better if the windows had screens so as to be able to allow cool air to flow through without the mosquitoes and flies coming in. Since we stayed for a little over 2 weeks, having full laundry facilities was key - the washer and dryer worked great, just a word of caution that the dryer door can leave quite a bruise if you stand up under it when it is open. As this is a pet friendly listing, we brought our dog as well and he very much enjoyed the dog-friendly neighborhood! Thanks for an enjoyable stay in Kits!

The coach house was beautiful and very well maintained. Adorable neighborhood, conveniently located. Great amenities, including a washer/dryer. There is a cute little patio with a table and small grill, and my kids loved jumping on the trampoline. Highly recommend for families.

We loved our stay at the Avalon Coach House in "Kits". Lovely accommodations for our family of 4. The house was very clean & tastefully decorated. The location was close to shops & restaurants along West Broadway, a quick walk to the beach and Granville Island. Also a perfect locale to get to UBC. We would definitely come back and book the Avalon Coach House!

My daughter and I loved our weekend stay at Julia's guest house. It was clean, comfortable, and well stocked with essentials. It was bright and had a modern feel. The location was excellent, on a quiet street yet close to amenities. Highly recommend.

This is a beautiful, walkable, safe area of Vancouver. Lots of amenities close by. Property was comfortable, clean, quiet with plenty of amenities. Our family really enjoyed our short stay.
