Quick check in, very friendly staff dinner was basic but nice. Was a little disappointed by no fish curry after being told there would be one. (I understand lack of demand for that type of food). Staff however bought out extra fish cutlets out for us which was nice. Room was very spacious. Breakfast was packed for us for our safari in the morning which was lovely. For the price this was perfect, we even saw an elephant near the lake, more than we saw at the actual safari haha. Can't complain too much for the price we paid and staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Would stay again.

Bathroom was very dated in one of the 2 rooms we booked. Rooms need updating.

The staff were so friendly and really went beyond to make a stay memorable. This included a guided walk of the nearby lake and forest - which was so stunning and peaceful. They also made us beautiful local dishes for dinner.

Food was good, they even packed my breakfast because I had an early morning safari. They upgraded me to a better room, after I told them my wifi isn't working and that room was very nice and big. Super clean and everything you could hope for in a room. The water pressure was like in most places in Sri Lanka a little low though, but at least there was warm water.

I sent multiple messages to the hotel, both via whatsapp and email and didn't get a response until I arrived. The original room I was to stay in was full of ants and the wifi wasn't working. Also that building (further away from the main reception and restaurant) looked like it was in construction. When I arrived I asked for a safari (my original inquiry in the messages I sent before) and they organized one. At first I thought I was getting a good deal with 18'000 Rp, but then right before we left, they asked me to help out with the entrance fee. What they didn't tell me was the amount.. 12'850!! And it was not even a professional safari, just a guy with a jeep, who barely knew the animals and made zero effort. He only drove half-way into the park, I barely saw anything. The safari was supposed to last 4 hours but after 3 hours we already returned. I got some drinks but no snacks. For over 20'000 this was a complete rip-off. In the end I can say, this hotel would have some potential but it lacks the follow-through
