Eagle Wilpattu Resort

Eagle Wilpattu Resort was such a wonderful find. The staff are incredibly polite, friendly and accommodating and truly want to make your stay memorable - for example shining the torch at night so we could see the elephants grazing outside once dark. It was a truly remarkable experience. The food was fabulous - and breakfast was incredible - fresh fruit, juice, pancakes, curd and honey, Sri Lankan or western menu or blend of both. It was all amazing. It kept us going all day! And dinner was great as well and great to relax with a cold beer after a day at the safari. Such a perfect location and vibe. Thank you

The property is well maintained with lovely large clean rooms. Having a small fridge in the room was lovely and the outside shared areas made great use of the views. Good location a few minutes drive from the park entrance. The pool was nice but less appealing in real life than it looked in the pictures!

We stayed in ten hotels across our month in Sri Lanka and the food here felt very expensive compared with other places.

Outstanding service in this hotel. Small family owned and operated I believe. Great safari booked. Room perfect and large. Food service fantastic.

Shower pressure was light, but as expected at small rural hotel. Wouldn’t change a thing.

Loved the outdoor space with lovely pool overlooking the bush. My partner got a massage that he said was the best of his life. Dinner was fantastic, great beers by the pool, and the room was lovely (bed super comfy and great air con). The safari was amazing - we really wanted to see a sloth bear and got to see one up super close. Our safari driver had been doing safaris for 15+ years and knew what to listen out for and had the most amazing eye - could spot a tiny camouflaged chameleon while driving!
