Very pleasant stay once again, and would return a third time if/when the need arises !

I have stayed there once previously 2 years ago, and was happy to return when a research project took me back to Caversham. Raj the owner is a very friendly and helpful host and happy to spend time chatting, which I did enjoy very much. Nothing is too much trouble and he answers the phone immediately both ahead of your stay or indeed if you have any queries during your stay. The place is spotless, well cared for and comfortable with a personal touch. Much better than a soulless Holiday Inn and dare I say, a lot cheaper. The road it is situated on has a number of takeaways, a Minimart, a cafe for breakfast (for only £5 with a voucher from the owner) and a great pub The Moderation, which also does excellent cuisine...all easily walkable on the same street ! Oh and good wi-fi with more charging points than you could shake a stick at !

I get freaked out when I can't turn central heating off completely, although I realise that this isn't always possible. I'm just funny that way, but Raj did try to help !

Decent place for a short stay.

We were welcomed very warmly on arrival. The room was clean, and had everything we needed for a night of sleep after a long day of travel (trans-Atlantic flight and then a train to Reading). Walking distance to the train station and everything downtown. Quiet too. Decent basic accommodation.

The property is starting to show its age a bit and could use with a bit of updating, notably in the washrooms.

Raj is the Host of Hosts!

A week long stay to do a course, Raj was the highlight, a warm and friendly guy, exceptionally accommodating, let me park my car in the back before check in so I could go off to my course, always making sure to see if I needed anything, fridge, microwave, teas and coffees, Thank You so much, I Highly Recommend.

No real negatives, It was ridiculously hot that day and there was no breeze coming in through the window, there was a towerfan but that room can get quite hot so only suggestion maybe a a few more fans or even AC. Nut again not a negative, just a suggestion.

I had a really comfortable stay, the room was clean and modern and comfortable.. The host Ray was incredibly hospitable and kind. Thank you for an easy overnight stay near the train station.

Location good. Inside better than outside view. Little traffic noise. Host great. Lots of facilities on the inside. Decor good. Good for the price.

Thought parking was definitely available. Wasn't aware we had to phone to arrange access to the accommodation. Be good to know the bathrooms are shared. Outside could be improved to make it match the inside. More info on parking on booking sites and arranging access.

Owner went out of his way to help us enjoy our stay. Room was pleasant and good hot showers. Secure place to store bikes outside. Owner had an arrangment with cafe nearby for breakfast.

The front of Caversham was extremely shabby and not clearly signed. Took us a while to find the place

Great location, excellent value.

Despite the unassuming exterior, the room was very well decorated, clean and had all the facilities one would expect. The location is a short 5-10 minute walk to Reading Town centre and close to Caversham village also. The host was very communicative and helpful throughout. For the price, this is a very good choice indeed.

For the price, I'm not sure anything could have been better. Guests should bear in mind that there are shared bathroonm facilities.

Owner was friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Location was good for access to the town centre.

Bathrooms and toilets were separate from the room. On arrival, I had to park in a space that was supposed to be for permit holders while I called the owner and sorted out where I could park. It would have been good to know parking arrangements in advance.

Raj was really friendly and great customer service. Genuinely nice person. You don’t get that genuine and nice approach in travelodge or premier In. Good value for money and great location. Easy to find. Parking space available and has more a home feel rather than hotel:) Really clean and tidy

Toilet and bath not in the room and shared bathroom and toilet. However bathroom and toilets were spotless and really clean.Other than that it was great for a short stay.
