location with friendly people, but room needs more care

The location was excellent 10/10– right in the heart of the old town, yet peaceful. I felt very safe as a solo female traveler, which means a lot. The people in the house were friendly, and the bed was comfortable. I also appreciated the unique charm of the room and slept well overall.

The room had a lot of old decorations that made the space feel cluttered – things like random books and patched-up pottery, which could be replaced to create a more welcoming atmosphere. Cleanliness was unfortunately way below expectations. With a bit more care and attention, the place could be truly lovely.

Lovely hosts in a traditional house

This is not just a room in the heart of Split, its a house with a heart. The hostess is the matriarch with a big family of daughters, granddaughters and cute dogs. They welcome you warmly. The room itself is lived in, has traditional Croatian architecture, windows, decor - with a bed, bedside, cupboard, chair, ac fan and table fan, basic crockery and spoons. Bathroom is shared. A small table outside has a kettle, tea/coffee and a sandwich maker. There is sufficient privacy and hosts are happy to address any requirements. The location is on Unesco cobbled streets of Split, close to bus stops such as HNK, about 10 mins walk to Riva and 12 mins to Diocletian's.

Great value for money

The location is perfect, great value for money - for the price of hostel you have your own, quite and clean space in the hart of town. Lara was a lovely host, great communication and super helpful. I would definitely recommend to any solo traveler 👌

Wonderful place, 10 from 10!!!

Wonderful place, 10 from 10! It's located in a historical medieval place, but it's still private and comfortable. It's very clean, both a room and a bathroom. There is a fan, so it's okay to sleep on night. The owners are super friendly and open guys. It's definitely worth it to visit!

This was my second stay here and wouldn't book anywhere else in Split. The hosts are beautiful people who go out their way to welcome you but respect your privacy too. Very warm vibes and beautiful energy. Location perfect. Shared bathroom but I never had to wait to use it as only shared with one other person (or maximum two) you have toiletries, towels, tea, coffee, and a communal fridge you can use too. The room I stayed in is cute, safe, practical, clean and quiet. Good wifi. Felt at home and cared for. Thank you Lara, Angela and everyone else, see you next time!

Perfectly located, clean, authentic

Perfectly located, hidden from the touristic noise, but just few steps from the main attractions, in a beautiful, old stone house. The room and the bathroom were very clean. And most of all, I appreciated the hospitality of the hosts.

Very cosy, like saying with family.

The location and hosts are very helpful and accommodating. The pathways are very well lit at night and it feels safe.

Ear plugs maybe helpful. This room is small and basic, good for a person who is looking to just sleep in the room and adventure throughout the day.

I’d do it again in a heartbeat

Great atmosphere. Funny and helpful management.

I was scared to walk from the Central Bus Station after dark. It was actually VERY easy. You walk down the walkway north? towards the restaurants and tourist excursions kiosks. Across the road at the zebra crossing. Head around the harbor, walking past all the restaurants. Google maps works fine. It tried to have me walk there an odd way to begin with. Just follow it once you’re past the palace. There is not really any uphill to get to the location and cobblestones are only for about 5 minutes…bump, bump, bump

Lara and Lara's family are super welcoming, I loved it! It felt like a home and a family I was welcomed to for a couple of days. Lara gave me great tips to see the city within my availability.

Its a small cozy location close to the main sights and rather for a budget traveler. While its quite basic, if you want to taste the Split old town local life, meet friendly hosts and be within walking distance of the emperors palace, this is quite the place to be.

Beautiful, cosy room, right in the centre of Split.

Great little room with everything you need right in the centre of the town. The location was my favourite part but also the owner of the house and her daughter were lovely and very helpful. It’s a gorgeous place very homely with a bit of a view as well.

Room got a little hot at night, no ac, only a fan. However if you want you can use the ac in the passage ( right outside the room) with your door open and it will cool down fast. Only down to this is potentially getting mosquitoes in your room.

Perfect little room in the heart of town!

Great little room for a few nights stay! Very much in the heart of town and the host is lovely. Bathroom is shared but no one was ever using it when I was there. Room has everything you need. Wifi was great! I would stay here again for the price!

Aircon in the room would be ideal, but there is aircon in the hallway - you just have to leave your door open.

Up a quiet street yet very close to the historic centre of Split. I found the property fairly easily and was met and welcomed at the agreed time. The accommodation was small but worked very well. The shared shower room was never a problem. The wifi was good.

The rain shower! These use a lot of water. I used the regular shower head instead but the rain shower dripped cold water on my head!

Super clean rooms at excellent location in the heart of Split

The apartment is right in the middle of Split Old Town, which is excellent. Lara greeted me at my arrival and showed me around. She also gave me a lot of recommendations for activities and restaurants. The room was perfectly clean and the bed very comfortable. I enjoyed my stay a lot and can only recommend Lara‘s place.

Location absolutely perfect. Lara and her mum excellent people. The environment is of a family home, with rooms to rent. Perfect for single travellers. Highly recommend this place and whenever in Split I will lodge there. Thanks!
