The views were definitely the best thing about the house. The photos don’t show how dated the property is. We determined it was like going to Grandma’s house. It was clean, just don’t look too closely at certain things.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The game room and hot tub were enjoyed by all. The views are amazing. The stairs going in were quite steep and as warned, slippery when wet. It would have been nice to have some kind of window coverings for the afternoon sun. I would definitely recommend this property.

As stated by previous reviews, there were pros and cons to this home. Awesome location near Dillon beach access however it was a steep hilly walk to/from beach. The house was nice & clean however a bit dated. The deck, stairs & lounge chairs needs some TLC. Hot tub was perfect. Game room was fun but did have an interesting odor. Overall a great property & fun times were had by all :) Thank you!

The views are spectacular and the location is lovely (steep hill and stairs tho for anyone with mobility issues). We were there as a family and truly enjoyed our time. It does need to be pointed out, however, that the home is more rustic and a bit more run down than the pictures imply. The salt air has taken a toll and not much has been updated. For the price we paid, I expected something closer to the pictures. But overall a fun place for a getaway with plenty to keep family members engaged and relaxed.

Great viewProperty has a funky, moldy, musty and damp smell that wasn't very pleasant.Deck with hot tub definitely did not look like the picture, built in bench has a lot of rotted wood & not inviting to sit on, lounge chairs have green mold on back, hot tub jets were spitting out algae and half the jets did not work.Not a property good for movie watching, with no blinds on the windows there is a glare off the TV. There is no light over the dining room table, so need to play board games during the daylight hours.The stairs into the house not that great, very weathered and definitely not deep enough for a person with a size 10 or bigger. The stairs might actually be the worst of all the worn out items, as they appear to be structurally in terrible shape. If you have small children you cannot let them crawl around the living room due to the placement of the windows that open for air are placed on the floor with no screens.The house was clean, but definitely could use some spring cleaning and update on a few things. For instance, the coffee table is wicker and the cracks around the top appear to have collected spills and gunk that are stuck in the crevices.It would be nice if pictures on VRBO had to be updated and not the pictures when it as first on the market to rent.

This lovely spot has an incredible view! Pictures can’t do it justice. The home was comfortable and well insulated from the crisp sea breeze. We saw several deer coming through the property, a couple rabbits, and many different birds. Instructions were clear and very helpful. Would recommend!

Excellent view of ocean and bay from up high. Hot tub was plus. overall we had nice family gathering on Thanksgiving weekend. Limited kitchen supplies other than pots and pan. If you want to particular item you need you bring from home. Glassware and dishes were worn out. No central heating, gas fireplace was difficult to turn on and off.They provided heater in all bedrooms.

The views from this home are beautiful. It would be nice to have blinds to pull down during the afternoon when sun is coming in the windows. Fence around the deck outback needs some repair work. It is very wobbly and not safe for little ones. We enjoyed our stay and time with the family.

There were four of us. All adults. The place was spotless. Early mornings deer could be spotted very close to the property. It was magical to be able to see deer walking around while munching wild vegetation. We enjoyed the amazing oceanic view and the sounds of the waves at night.

No screens for windows to get fresh air otherwise mosquitoes and bugs come in, extremely hot, no option for blinds/shades on main floor, no light over dining table so difficult for family to play board games, lamp next to tv didn’t work, the bath products are just people’s leftovers, coffee bag left wide open in cabinet and not fresh, plates are extremely scratched/worn hopefully not toxic, staircase to upstairs smells funky/bad, downstairs staircase smells moldy/musty.triggering asthma

I love off-season getaways. This one was great. We had one day of exceptional weather and could see from the surfers at Dillon Beach out to the mouth of Tomales Bay. Fantastic.

Our stay was really nice and the view was stunning. A couple things to note: there are no shades or curtains in the living room/ dinning room area and if you need scissors for any reason, bring your own. The drive way is very steep and curved. It got much easier to navigate as the days went on. Just some little things that we noticed! Dillon beach is one of my favorites and it was amazing to stay there.

We loved our brief stay at Views, Views, Views and will definitely stay there again! A couple of things to note - first, the only way into the house is up a flight of stairs, the treads are shallow and a bit treacherous in the rain/dark. Second, there were several pill bugs around, most of them were dead, so it would seem they were trying to manage the issue, it didn’t really bother us. We loved the views, the bedrooms were comfy and we can’t wait to take in the stars from the hot tub again!

The views were absolutely beautiful and the local restaurant and beach was lovely. We had unseasonably warm weather but the house was not prepared to host us for that environment. No shades and no screens in the windows made it all much worst that it could have been. This house is NOT kid friendly. None of the windows had screens and were low on the ground so we weren't really able to open them without concern of our kids falling out. The few windows we were able to leave open just let in so many bugs and wasps. The property manager did work with us to get a couple extra fans but it made for a really stressful stay. In general the house didn't feel super clean and the kitchen was overly cluttered. The hot tub was lovely. Overall it was habitable but wasn't the most comfortable stay.

This was my first VRBO experience and it was lovely and everything went smoothly! Beautiful home, hot tub and grill we made use of! Steep driveway but that added to the fun of having our cars parked strategically. Very close to the beach! Lots of space for us to be cozy and hang with each other for my birthday weekend. Easy clean up! Really enjoyed my stay with friends ins this cute beach house!

We stayed at your Dillon Beach Vacation Rental last weekend. All in all we had a wonderful time. Thank you! The views are magnificent. It was joyful to all be able to gather in the living room and have memorable times together. Also, I wanted to ask if you are aware of the poor condition of many aspects of the house.. I took some photos- attached- for you to see... along with suggestions for future improvements. Remove old pots, pans, dishes, cooking utensils . refinish or replace the down stairs tub.. caulk and clean! rust stains and bottom of tub was disgusting. downstairs beds sag.. 4 of us had backaches the whole time. the single bed on the far side of the room squeaks with every move. kitchen was extremely disorganized and difficult to navigate. deep deep cleaning is need. filthy screens, furniture dirty and stained and some torn, etc. under sinks were yucky, closets were jammed with very odd items that were not necessary and mostly unusable. stairs were very precarious. extreme caution was needed to keep from falling. widen the stairs and make them less steep. Access thru the garage would have been very helpful. NO LAUNDRY facilities. no place to hang towels etc, . Toilets are very low, especially for seniors. Get rid of all of the excess 'junk' in the house.. Thanks for hearing us out. I hope this feedback is helpful and will increase your ratings and peoples stays ... Best to you.

The location of the house and view of the coast are gorgeous but the property is dated and overpriced. The shower curtains and bath mats are old and tattered. The cookware is beat up. There were no beach towels. There are no shades or curtains in the living room, making it impossible to eat at the dining table with the full afternoon summer sun in your face. Spending just a few hundred dollars on new basic furnishings like cookware, knives, bath mats, beach towels, etc. could make this a 5-star property.

Pros: Insanely beautiful panoramic view, hottub, generally pretty clean (bathrooms and bedrooms) Cons: Misleading on one of the bedrooms as there is no door (thus no privacy and sound issues, upstairs master suite), VERY steep driveway that is difficult to park in, Very strange layout of house, not easy access to hottub or back deck, disorganized kitchen

This is a perfect layout for a house for a family to vacation in really nice. Now that said it is very far away from the water they do make note of that although once getting there I realize it was no way walkable so if you're looking for a place really close to the water this is probably not the best place that's kind of what hindered us from going to the water very often but other than that it's perfect and we would rent again it's got a wonderful hot tub a really cute game room and everything is spread out perfectly a really cute little back deck and it was a great Easter retreat and the property management was wonderful getting back to us it was clean everything was great the washer did seem to have some Kings with it but that could have been operator error too I really have no major complaints wonderful place and don't get me wrong it is far away from the water but the views are absolutely extraordinary and might even be worth not being close to the water to see how beautiful the bay really is

This was a lovely and cozy home. I highly recommend this home if your looking for a quiet and intimate getaway to the beach. Beds were very comfortable and the kids enjoyed all the board games the home offered.

House has a great view. Plenty of room For the 4 of us ladies. Very comfy beds. Pretty steep stairs to get in house. Spa is not under a cover which is ok but no spa during rain. Had to figure out the heating was from a electric fireplace and a space heater. Spices and cleaning products were in kitchen. Plenty of towels and pillows.

If you have any kind of mobility issues, this is not the rental for you all the stairs especially the ones into the house are steep and have narrow treads. There were some maintenance issues while we were there, mostly weather related. Now for the positives Views, Views, Views! The kitchen had really good pots, pans, and cooking equipment and we all love to cook. Bring your own knifes, if you like to cook. And bring ALL the ingredients you'll need. Lots of games which we appreciated and the TV was easy to operate. The Hot Tub was wonderful since it was cold and rainy during our stay. The beds are comfortable as is the rest of the furniture. I appreciate comfort over fashionable for a relaxing weekend

The four of us really enjoyed our stay and the property is in an excellent location for stunning views. The furniture and overall interior was a bit lackluster compared to the many vacation rentals I have stayed in at Dillon Beach, but I would stay again.

This place has killer views. The house is dated but still comfortable and cozy. The two queen beds were very uncomfortable and could use replacement. There are no bar soaps available in the bathrooms, only liquid hand soap. Kitchen was functional with plenty of counter space, but it could use a knife set. The house has a fireplace and space heaters for every room. Loved the game room. We would book again but hoping the two queen beds will be replaced by then.

The rental home is on top of a hill in a very nice residential community of Dillon Beach. Location: nice community, walking friendly, great ocean views all around, about 15 min walk to beach but better to drive down since it's a steep walk back. Driving distance 15-45 miles to some great local restaurants, wineries, scenic hikes, more ocean views. Home: Pros - Amazing amazing views of the ocean, hills, pasture on 2 sides, you're treated to the sunset each evening. Nice open floor plan between living room and kitchen. Well equipped place with kitchen amenities, towels/bedding, games etc. Very peaceful location and low density area really feels like a getaway in spite of being only 90 min from SF. Not so great: Do not expect an upscale modern home. Everything while clean is somewhat old - kitchen, baths, furniture, windows and doors etc. reflected in the price vs say the much more modern homes you could rent in Bodega Bay but was a bit of a disappointment only in this wasn't apparent from the listing or photos. Heat in hole relies on a gas fireplace albeit well functioning. So in the Dec weather some rooms were chilly. Major new home construction underway on lot down which you can't miss, but wasn't an issue for us. Hot tub was broken - few was refunded but wasn't clear at time of rental until we got there. Net net for the fees paid we still had a very nice time. Just need to manage your expectations and be okay with an older place, but one that is clean and comfortable enough and above all offers spectacular views in a beautiful and safe area.
