Single level view home of the Pacific Ocean and Tomales Bay

Loved the ocean view and spacious layout. I gave only 4 stars because when I asked the host if firewood was supplied (it’s featured in the photos) and if there were any special instructions for the wood burning stove/heater, she just replied that if I didn’t know how to use the stove it’s not recommended that I use it. I’ve used plenty of wood stoves enough to know each one has its idiosyncrasies, and was curious about this one. Take your own firewood or buy some at the Dillon general store. Also take your own ping pong paddles and balls if you plan to use the “rustic” table in the garage. She said they can’t guarantee items like cooking oil, although on this visit there was a bottle of olive oil. All in all it’s a nice place, quiet, with lots of wildlife and wonderful views.

Beautiful ocean views from many rooms of the clean house. Easy access and easy communication with the owners. The drive up there is lovely with a stop at Tomales bay for oysters.

Great views. Kitchen fairly well stocked except not enough pots with lids of medium size. Dishes mostly cracked and too heavy to manage in dishwasher. Dishwasher did not work so on Thanksgiving with all the mess we had to do by hand. Repaired Friday mid day-many thanks-but after the busiest food day. Some pots/dishes/utensils were not clean when we arrived. Back bedrooms both have moldy window jams. Dates were 27 nov-dec 1 2024, not what shown above. I would like a credit for the malfunctioning dishwasher.
