Disgusting

Nothing, one of the worst houses I've ever stayed in.

I immediately got a sense that this property has not been looked after. The rear garden was overgrown and had a fox living amongst the bushes. The bathroom and kitchen were shockingly dirty,. I messaged the owner on 2 occasions asking why she was advertising a property that is not upto standards. We are paying guests and I for one expect more. The mattress stunk and the pillows were awful to sleep on. The worst place I've ever stayed in, shocking!!!

Avoid at all costs

The first appearance of the property was terrible, garden overgrown with rubbish in the garden. As I walked through the front door there was an awful smell and the house was dirty. I went up to my room and went in and the carpet was dirty, the walls were dirty and the bed was broken. The TV was thick with dust and no aerial so you can only watch streaming channels. The house was more like a HMO house. The bathroom was filthy and full of other people’s toiletries. I would avoid this property at all costs and pay the extra for something cleaner and nicer inside. This is not a home from home at all.

I love the location, a quiet residential area at a walking distance to the Southmead Hospital. It's secure environment.

The kitchen utensils are getting old and should be replaced with newer ones.

An experience to be avoided

Everything. I wouldn't recommend this stay to anyone. First of all, I couldn't get in because my code for the lock wouldn't work, then once I was in the bedding was stained, there were no tea & coffee making facilities in my room, the bathroom was discustingly filthy with mould all around the bath, the shower pole and curtain were on the floor and the Internet didn't work. They put some of these right, but when I made my coffee in the morning, I used some long life milk out of the fridge, which blobbed into my mug as it had gone off. Appalling

Nothing this place should be removed from Booking.com it is obviously someone renting out a room in a shared house.

Dog mess all the way up the drive. Located in a bad unpleasant area. Bathroom unclean Obviously full of fake reviews... photos to prove all of this This needs to be looked into by booking.com - dispute will be lodged

I wont stay here again - It is a residential house with access by code numbers into the property and into your room - it was clear that the place has long term residents who consider the bathroom as theirs with toothbrushes and other toiletries in the washbasin - no toilet paper in the shared bathroom - TV didn't work - bedsheets didn't look like they had been changed for sometime (weren't clean) - I stay in B&B all over the UK about 2 times every week - this is the worst place i have ever stayed and wont be coming back - not cheap either

I was not told that it was bring your own. There was no written instructions on where to deposit the main door key that I had to make a call for verification.

There was no small sink in the bedroom. The main sink in the bathroom was broken and the bath could have been kept clean by the residence.

Lovely stay in a residential area of Bristol - perfect!

The check in was easy, instructions received day time were very accurate. The room was very decent, nice and comfy bed, warm and cozy, TV if you need, and great WIFI. There is everything you need available: kitchen and bathroom. Received a very warm welcome and goodbye, very friendly! Definitely recommended.

Gourmet Food at a budget stay.

Too be honest it was not what I expected, it turned out to be better. The room was clean, compact & comfortable although the shared bathroom was slightly on the tired side. The Jewell in the crown was the friendliness of Clair and Tim the live in staff. Clair cooked a paella that was simply gourmet standard, and upon walking in the building I was offered an evening meal and it was by far one of my better decisions to accept. Simply put it is not a 4 star hotel and quite frankly all the better for it. I will check in here every Bristol trip in the future

The Houses location is a bit far from the city center but the quality of food will stop you leaving whether or not, that said my only real gripe was the strength of the wifi, early in the evening I couldnt get on the wifi for love nor money. However come 10:30pm other people had obviously logged off and I got on easily.

Excellent

Super clean all through and the housekeepers (Tim and Claire) were very friendly and super nice. I had to extend my stay because I’m very satisfied with the service. If you’re looking for a place to stay shortly in Bristol then this is the perfect place. I strongly recommend to everyone.
