This wonderful home in the quaint seaside town of Capitola will remind you of being in a small village in Italy. Brand new Queen bed in one bedroom and a super comfortable double in the 2nd bedroom. Brand new Murphy bed in the living room sleeps two.

It has a personal boat dock with (2)kayaks and a Paddleboard to use at your leisure. Or you can Kick on the deck and look out onto the beautiful Soquel Creek and observe nature.

Wonder down to the beach and enjoy the surf and the sun.

BBQ on the deck and watch the ducks meander by as you sip a glass of wine from one of the local wineries. Or just relax and read your favorite book in the privacy of your secure deck.

The lush green surroundings are breathtaking. If you feel the desire for shopping or dining out, the downtown and Esplanade are only a two-minute river walk away.

Enjoy the food and entertainment at the world-famous Shadow Brooke Restaurant!

No matter what you choose to do it will all be within walking distance of your front door.

Took my family and pup for weekend getaway and had the best time. The house is adorable and has all the necessities. The patio was so relaxing and beautiful! We loved walking the river trail to get to the beach. Overall this was a 10/10 experience!

This wasn’t a slice of heaven. Two girlfriends and I were looking forward to a relaxing respite, away from family responsibilities, for a few days. We were disappointed with this rental. The good - nice location and includes two parking spaces. The not so good - kitchen poorly equipped. Bring your own equipment if you like to cook. Ants made it impossible to leave food on kitchen counters.Couches and bar stools not comfortable. In fact, barstools were super light weight and flimsy. Didn’t feel safe. Water filter in fridge needed replacing. We were told fridge had a water filter so was surprised and disappointed when discovered it was expired. Combinations to padlocks on gates needed to be documented somewhere. Never did get combination to lock on gate next to river deck. Back door lock needed to be fixed. Had to exit through front door and access creek walking path through neighbors yard IF you wanted the back door locked while gone. Luckily, no one was staying there at the time. Cobwebs on outdoor furniture needed to be removed. Overall, would give the place a C grade. Won’t be back anytime soon.

As a group of tired, working mamas, we had the most restful and enjoyable weekend. The location couldn’t be better, the weather was stunning, the downtown activities were so fun (VW festival with music!) LoriAnn the housekeeper left us a list of local places to eat and was super kind. It really couldn’t have been better and we will definitely return.

this house is situated right on the creek and it’s so so peaceful to sit out on the deck and just watch the creek the ducks in the pond the seagulls flying overhead. It’s just an amazing little house. I have stayed here once before and always wanted to come back and so glad I finally made it

This is a wonderful cottage on the river in Capitola, just a stones throw from the village and the beach. The house is well equipped, but the real shining star here is the outdoor space with patio and riverside access. It’s so quiet and peaceful.Good communication with the owner.

We’ve spent a lot of time in the area but never on the river walk in Capitola! The house was cozy and comfortable - warmly heated in the mornings, sunny on the deck, close to great food and coffee. We’d go back!

I have had good VRBO stays before, but this one was the smoothest and most gorgeous one yet! Even before our visit, when there were technical glitches with getting electronic payment credited to the host, he was communicative, responsive, and accommodating. Once booked, Steve provided clear instructions about everything from entry into the property to expectations for check out. The unit itself is in walking distance from the shore and the view of the river from the back deck was spectacular. Our puppies also loved the foot traffic along the promenade at the rear of the property and made new friends ;) We would love to stay there again sometime.

I took my daughter for her 16th Birthday along with her 20yold brother. It was amazing even with the rain. Dog friendly and the river is right there, so beautiful. The village is a short walk. Accommodations were comfortable and just what we needed. Host was quick to reply. We hope to return.

We love staying on the river in Capitola, and this home was in the perfect location. Other than a few issues with the Home Instructions Manual being out of date, and a few amenities that we felt would have made the place perfect, we really loved the property. My family and I stayed 4 nights at Steven’s property for Christmas. The location was amazing, just a very short walk to a quaint town with shops and coffee shops and restaurants. Great big outdoor area to gather and enjoy the river. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook a Christmas dinner. Steven is very communicative if you need him. I would come back in a heartbeat!

We loved our stay at a Slice of Paradise! The location can not be beat as is it is an easy walk to all the hustle and bustle of downtown Capitola, but the house is so quiet and peaceful. The river location is so wonderful and the outside deck is a great place to sit back and enjoy a glass of wine, or a cup of coffee. The beds were comfy, the house was clean; we would definitely stay here again.

This was the first time staying in vacation rental in capitola and it was an amazing experience! Definitely way better than staying in a hotel! The location is amazing and very tranquil will the creek in back of the house! Short 2 min walk to all the amenities of downtown! Perfect size for my family of 5!
