We had a very enjoyable stay here, the location and scenery is beautiful. Unfortunately the roads are terrible (not the property’s fault!) and so getting in and out can be a challenge. Otherwise everything is lovely and worth a visit! It was nice to feel separate from the more touristy places but still in easy distance of them.

Wonderful setting, beautiful views. Not near grocery so come well stocked. Lovely coffee yurt a couple miles down the road. The house was as-advertised and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Only hiccup was that we never received check-in instructions or an access code despite leaving emails and a voicemail 2 days in advance…so we drove 4 hours to a locked house on a weekend. Thankfully someone picked up when we called from the house and gave us the access code. I’m sure this was not a typical situation but just make sure you receive check-im instructions before make the drive. The property rental company never responded to our email about it.

Beautiful house in a fairly remote location. Just on the edge of the water. Short drive to the stein inn which is the oldest pub on Skye. Loch Bay the only Michelin started restaurant on the island is next to the stein inn.Property as described in the listing.Lovely location, lovely house. Absolutely loved the place, the views were amazing. The drive to the place is little off road, but the management team gave me perfect directions. The check in was a breeze. House was neat and clean and very spacious and comfortable. We had a great experience.

The location and views were absolutely amazing. It was so nice to come back to the property after a day of exploring the island, and take in the incredible sunsets and views of the stars. The house was spotlessly clean, and had everything we needed. Although we couldn’t get the oven to work upon arriving late the first night, the host was super quick to respond to try to assist us. Nothing but good things to say. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Tigh Bata was an amazing gem. It was spacious on the inside with awesome views outside. The home was well equipped with toiletries and everything.needed for meals for our large family. Access was easy and appreciated given the remote location. And the staff was friendly and attentive. 5 Stars in every respect!

Amazing house with a spectacular view! This is a real treasure of a rental. The house is large, comfortable, clean, and well stocked. We immensely enjoyed our stay. Our only regret is that we should have stayed here more than two nights!!

Skye itself is an amazing place to visit and Tigh Bata has a wonderful spot north of Waternish. The house is a great design and has lovely views all the way from East to West through South, especially from the open plan living area and the main bedroom. The furniture is good, it has a big, well-equipped kitchen and with 6 adults we appreciated the 3 bathrooms. The property is getting a little worn around the edges - I suspect it was renovated at least 8-10 years ago - so there's the odd place where lights or flooring or doors will need a bit of attention before long. It could do with some suitable blinds or similar for the large triangular windows in the peaks of the bedrooms, unless you're good at sleeping with lots of light (both late in the evening and early in the morning this far north!) But I wholeheartedly recommend it as a beautiful place to stay.

Wow, what an amazing time for our family of two adults and two children! Being at the end of the earth with the wind and the sea, farms and cows to the side- it was just such a beautiful experience that words can't express it. We spent part of the time out exploring the hikes and Portree and part of the time just staying in playing board games and enjoying the house. We would love to return should we visit Scotland again.

A very comfortable property in a special remote location on Skye with stunning views. Not as private as expected - Despite being on the coast with what felt initially like a private area with no other properties needing access, we had visitors using the remote area for water sports. This proves a theory that there is no escape from other human beings!

Very nice setting for walks in the surounding area or just to relax on the lovely decking and just be. All worked really well and we had an amazing time with the family. All cooking amenities were there and in great condition (which is not always the case in a rental place). would highly recommend!

This is a rugged and windswept location! We had a strong wind our first night and it was loud! When it died back a bit it was easier to sleep well. The house is comfortable and warm. The kitchen is well appointed. The woodburner is great and there was plenty of wood. We were a group of 4 couples and the small twin room was definitely the short straw but no complaints. Beds are comfy. There were issues with the patio doors not opening but the weather was wet so we were not too affected. It’s a good base to explore the north of Skye and we enjoyed our time there.

Just returned from Skye and we had a superb week. The house (Tigh Bata) was stunning and very comfortable. All made easy in terms of booking, check in / out and a minor issue with the dishwasher (machine not me!) was dealt with immediately by Ben. In these challenging times, holidays are even more precious so making things simple and efficient is appreciated so without reservation (excuse the pun!) I / we recommend Skye Serviced Accommodation. Ben, John and the team will look after you.
