Great privacy and amazing views. Home and furnishings are a bit rustic but give that old Lake Travis vibe I've always cherished. Yes you can access the cove and open water here but bring the right shoes for the climb down and back. Kind and caring host. Hope to return next summer.

This place is perfect for visiting the Hill country and surrounding wineries / distilleries. Amazing view of the CO river from the top floor and balcony. The house is slightly older but an excellent value for its location and its views. Quirky in a good way. Would definitely stay again and recommend highly. Was just my wife and myself but two adult couples or one family could comfortably fit in this house. A+

The house is super neat, it was just my husband and I but we had fun trying to figure out the layout. One of the reviews mentioned it was like staying with a relative and I find that true, however it was just what we wanted. The upstairs tub is one like I’ve never seen, the downstairs toilet comes with a great view! There’s little trails you can take behind the house that are right up our alley! The neighborhood is beautiful. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. If you’re a TV watcher id bring a Roku stick or something similar as there is no cable or DVD player we could find (it’s the background noise for me, when I sleep, but it was so peaceful I found I didn’t need it). The owner allowed us to check in early which was great and gave great recommendations for food and entertainment. All around a great experience, I would love to take my (adult) kids back, they also appreciate the nature and simplicity.

Be prepared for many surprises. On the plus side, the setting is peaceful and the view is amazing. But, the home is not well cared for and takes away from the relaxation potential. From the request to delay our check in beyond 3 pm, to the dirty glass coffee table, bathroom mirrors, toilet, floors and moldy shower curtain, I didn’t feel like a welcomed guest. It’s more like your cousin letting you use the family lake house and you get what you get, but I would have cost me a gift basket, not the nightly rate plus fees that I paid. A little effort to correct sticking sliding glass doors, torn cushions, folding chairs at dining table, pans beyond their useful life, broken blinds, questionable deck boards, lack of cable/satellite tv would go a long way to making the space more inviting.

I first want to say Mr Terrell was absolutely amazing! He had the place very clean, a sweet bag with wine that say “Happy 1year Anniversary”!!! He checked in with me daily and provided places we could venture off to. The view was one in a million. I will be going back every three months just to enjoy the peace and escape from the city life.

We are totally disappointed, and the house neither has a safe pathway from the road to the main entry nor having a proper safe parking lot. The photographs and information provided in the rental app (Vrbo) are far from reality and deceptive.

Terrell’s Property was exactly what we were looking for in a quiet and private romantic weekend getaway with a water view. We enjoyed the Lake Travis area, but especially enjoyed the beautiful sunsets from both balconies and seeing and hearing all the wildlife. It was a great escape from San Antonio and made us feel connected to the countryside again, despite the July heat. Terrell is a great host, is very responsive and even gave us a heads up that he had no renters booked for our check out day and we could stay as long as we wanted. A very nice gesture that we greatly appreciated!

Really enjoyed the location and views. Was a short hike to get to lake so not suitable for kayaks/jetskis but there was a park to access lake nearby. The house is older, and has lots of character. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.

We wanted to get away for a few days and this house suited us perfectly. The house has a cabin feel with plenty of wood features. The living room has large windows on three sides and the views are fantastic. The kitchen has plenty of pots, pans, plates, glasses, etc. and we had no issues cooking our meals. And working on my computer while sitting on the deck overlooking the river was quite a treat! Highly recommended.

The views from this lake house are amazing. Great views from both balconies. There is also a trail leading you down to the lake behind the house. I did not bring tennis shoes, so I did not brave the short hike down but my husband and 9 yr old did, and it was very short walk to reach water, not difficult at all. House was very fully stocked in kitchen and laundry room, so I really did not need to bring anything!! Owner easy to reach via text or call. The house is older and has unique style to it but comfortable to stay in. There is a spiral staircase taking you between the two floors, so just be aware of that if you have anyone elderly in your party. Some parts of the house need some "TLC" (some broken blinds, etc) but it was nothing that would keep me from returning. GORGEOUS lake and hill country views and we had beautiful deer come right up to the property in the backyard. Owner even provided life vests and floats if we wanted to venture down to the lake from the backyard. Beautiful, quiet, private neighborhood. If you go, venture 10 minutes away to beautiful Krause Springs. We went on a weekday so it was not crowded. Our family will return, loved it!

My husband and I rented this house for almost a week during Christmas. The panoramic views from the house are breathtaking. We enjoyed walking down to the lake and coffee on the patio. The house is a little rustic but very comfortable with a lot of character. The WiFi was great, which was important for us as we worked remotely for a few days. The owner was super helpful and checked in on us during the stay. We loved this house and property and would come back in a heart beat!

We loved our stay at Terrel's home on Lake Travis. It is a beautifully designed home on some of the prettiest property around with some outstanding views. We enjoyed the deer that camped out around the house. It is a bit rustic so expect some cobwebs and a bit of a cabin-like feel. It was a cozy, fun stay for us!

We had a great time at this beautiful home with two large decks off the upper and lower levels. The views of the lake from both levels are incredible. The neighborhood is quiet with tennis courts and swimming pool within walking distance from the home. Terrel was very helpful with directions/ recommendations, and responded immediately to our calls.

My wife and I needed to get some fresh air and recharge batteries from this confinement. We stayed from June 14th to 18th and had a great time. First of all, the view, it's amazing, probably one of the best in the region. With that view I didn't need much more. We were not looking for anything fancy, so we prioritized the location and the view over anything else. The house was organized and had everything we needed. If you're looking for a place to relax, this place will work for you, especially for couples who want to take a break from the city. It is still a cabin in the heart of Texas, so it's somewhat rustic, where bugs and spiders are to be expected. The region is also beautiful, there are different parks in the area, making it very easy to hike, bike or swim in a natural pool (or lake). Terrel, the owner, was very attentive and stayed in touch with us to ensure we were doing fine. Overall, it's a great place to disconnect from reality.

Guess we were expecting more from this property from the previous reviews and ratings. Wanted to share our thoughts before someone else is disappointed. First, we did not meet Terrell as others said they did, but he was kind enough to call us as we were on our way to the airport in Ohio heading to Texas. He was VERY polite and shared all the details of our stay with my wife and, as with others, shared some places of interest in the area. Once we got there we were pleased with the surroundings. There were about 6 deer sitting in the shade of the yard when we pulled up. We also saw the fox 2 times the last day we were there. Exciting. The view is AWESOME. Then we walked inside... The first thing that hit me was the musty smell, reminding me of my grandmother's wet basement when we were kids. The carpet was worn and stained and a had ripples in it in several places. Not sure the last time it was cleaned, but there were cobwebs everywhere, which did not fair well for my wife's fear of spiders. I spent first 15 minutes there with broom knocking down webs that I could reach. Some on ceiling I could not reach. Adventuring around the place we climbed the ladder on the wall to see a sleeping area above the living room. It appeared that someone had just got out of the bed as the blankets were crumpled up like my bed when I was a kid, but then we saw the spiderwebs all over the mattress...must not have been cleaned recently or there are several active spiders living in this place. Also felt strange seeing so many soap and shampoo bottles left in bathrooms and in medicine cabinet there were lotions,ointments and sore throat spray that looks as if it's been there awhile. It almost felt like we were crashing at some frat house and all the brothers quickly bailed out for the few days we were there. One shower has a shower head about 5 ft from the floor...making my wife and I both have to duck to be under the water. Topping that is the other bathroom where the tub/shower is actually in the floor. You have to climb down into it to use...unique but also strange. Upper deck was great for lounging but lower deck off bedroom had several nails sticking up. There were several spots on walls where paint was flaking off. This place could be 5 star stay if they would have a GOOD cleaning crew come in and clean top to bottom and do some TLC with paint, replace carpet, etc. In owners defense we did not call about these issues while there, not a quick fix.

My family and I stayed at this lovely home on the lake. We enjoyed exploring the property and the surrounding areas. There is so much to do near by. We went zip lining at Cypress Valley Canopy Tours and had a great day swimming at Krause Springs. BBQ at Opie's is an absolute must. This home is comfortable and unique. It has an out in the woods, cabin feel which we loved. We spent a lot of time sitting on the upper deck. The owner was friendly, communicative and available for questions. We will definitely be returning to check out the wineries and other sights.

The Texas Hill Country is especially beautiful in the Spring when the blue bonnets bloom, and it may never be more wondrous than when viewed from this unique property. The roads to it are lined with the wildflowers. The house is nestled on eight acres of waterfront property where you can look out at the lake and see trees and water with no obstructions to your view. We saw deer water, birds, and even a fox off our back deck behind the main living area. There is also a deck on the first floor with the master and guest suites. The house is decorated in a rustic Texas theme. Terrell was very helpful throughout our stay, from making the reservation to showing us around the house when we arrived. He also suggested area restaurants. The house comes fully equipped for cooking indoors or on the grill on the deck outside. We are looking forward to returning in autumn.

We loved this property! There were 5 of us (all adults) and we had plenty of room. The house was so cute, unique and very comfortable. There was a deck upstairs in the living area and downstairs where the bedrooms were and each bedroom had it’s own access to the deck (sliding glass doors)with comfy deck furniture to enjoy the view. My son saw deer each morning from his bed. The top deck was my favorite place and where we spent our down time. The deck furniture was so comfortable and the extensive view of the lake was just beautiful, especially at sunset. There’s a couple of trails in the back that lead to the water. Terrel was so helpful and couldn’t have been nicer. Terrell recommended Angel’s for dinner one night and it was great, good food and live music outside. We really enjoyed it. My daughter is an olive feen so we drove to Texas Hill Country Olive company and then to Hawks Shadow Winery for tours and tastings. Both places were impressive. We are all looking forward to coming back to this exceptional property to relax and experience more of the water and hiking options.

This lovely home has amazing views from every area of the house including two upper and lower outside decks. We especially enjoyed the charm and design of this 70s home, classically and comfortably decorated. Our kids really enjoyed using one of the lofts as a reading nook/kids clubhouse. We LOVED the BBQ at Opies. We’re Austinites and native Texans and it was the best we’ve had! Aside from a day trip to Enchanted Rock and a short jaunt into Spicewood, we just enjoyed hanging out and around this incredible house.

The owner was very helpful in confirming a next day request. The cabin was nice and had wonderful views of the lake. It reminded us of an 80's tree house style cabin you would spend summers at as a kid. The location was perfect for us as we were visiting family in the neighborhood and needed a place close by to stay. The spiral stair case might be a bit challenging for little ones. We blocked off the stairs so our 2 yr old wouldn't try and go down by herself.

The pictures on here do not do the views justice! The home is such a great space, with an inviting living room and little quirks that make the place special. Terrel was very nice and helpful, taking time out of his day to give me a rundown on the area and things we might like to try. The house was clean upon arrival, with plenty of pots/pans & kitchen accessories. Kitchen was a little bit small, but we made it work! BBQ pit on the back porch as well as a great little sitting area, neither of which we put to use unfortunately. Great weekend getaway for young, adventurous couples!
