Poor signage, very hard to find. No personal contact - I expected a reception desk. TV not working.

Clean and comfortable, everything you need for a short stay in Bologna. Good communication with owner, everything functioning remotely - I didn't meet him or anybody else . A few Dolce gusto espresso capsules waited for me, tea bags also, everything you need in the bathroom is also there.

That window that someone complained before me is still not fixed - the net on the window is slightly torn and the blinds cannot be raised all the way, so only complain is about that. I didn't find it disturbing so didn't want to waste time on complaining to owner.

The hotel is awesome. Well located, clean, with a good bed, good shower and will all the amenities you might need. The owner is really kind to arrange the check in conveniently for you. My little issue was that I didn't notice the air condition so I was so hot during the night. I open the window and the mosquitos made my nightmare biting even my face! :'(

A comfy night in Bologna

Stayed in the room for one night on the way home. The suites are easy to find, 10-15 min walk from the centre of Bologna. It is an apartment turned into 4 separate rooms with bathroom. You can hear the neighbors a bit when they are in the corridor. But the whole thing has been recently renovated, well maintained, very clean and comfy. There is a coffee machine in each room for those who cannot wake up without a cup of coffee :) Sergio was very helpful and provided all the info we needed for a late check-in.

Decent place for a short stay.

Very clean room, close enough to the town center. Coffee machine and kettle in the room. Easy to check-in and out. The AC worked, which was nice, because it was very hot outside.

A bit noisy and the mattress was not very comfortable. The mini fridge did not work.

Good and central location. Everything is new. Please note that on Google Maps the address is correct but the dot in on the wrong side of the street.

There is no staff present on the location but it's mandatory to provide the information and upload id/permit via a 3rd-party service which is neither safe nor convenient. They're sending a link for that. Unfortunately, the first link they've sent me wasn't working. And neither did the second or third. In the end, we've managed to check-in but it wasn't clear whether we did it correctly. I've requested an invoice but haven't received it. The next day after the check-in I've received an sms from "italian post" (in Italian) saying that I have a package and I have to fill in my name, address and pay money to receive it (but without any tracking number). The website looked fishy, and links were not working. I've checked the domain: it was created a week ago. Clearly, it was a scam. Now, this hotel was the first and only place in Italy where I've shared my number. While this might be a coincidence, I find it quite disturbing.

Exceptional

The owner was very responsive when I was on my way to the property. The messages with instructions how to get in the property were very helpful. The bed was very comfortable. The presentation of the room is exactly what you see in their photos. As a first-time visitor in Bologna, my stay at Mambo Suites made it more enjoyable. It was just quite a walk to the center of Bologna but not a deal breaker if you like walking.

Convenient location, good for families.

The location was great and easy to get to everything. It was really nice to have the two big beds and the multiple spots for baggage and clothes was nice to have. It was a good sized room. We loved the water dispenser in the hallway!

The only thing I'd say was that there was mold in the bathroom above the shower that should be addressed.

5 min from the central station. Coop supermarket is 2 min walk. clean facilities. Tea/Coffee station and a water cooler.

It was so humid, cold and damp in there, as if no one lived there in years. the first night was awfully cold and as a result I got a bad cold. The towels and the beds were very damp too. Must be great in summer, I believe, but for February- unbearable. It got better the next day, but still. Also it’s like an apartment and first night our neighbors were pretty loud and someone outside was singing the whole night… with a microphone. Unlucky experience, but something really has to be done for winter times.

This was such a nice and convenient hotel! It was perfect for location (close to train and center), working (Wi-Fi and desk were very helpful), and remote check-in was convenient. Would recommend to anyone working remote in bologna or visiting as a tourist
