The Sense Experience Resort - Preferred Hotels & Resorts

The breakfast had many options even though seating was chaotic. The beach was in front of the hotel and very easy to access. Paddle and kayak are free to use and no booking required. The pool was clean and pleasant. There are tennis courts and free bikes. This was the highlight of our stay as we could get the bikes whenever and cycle into town. The cycle path is new and safe. There are enough bikes so never had a shortage. Kudos to the cleaning staff always who are always on call and kept the room spotless!

This is a great hotel but I would not call it a 5*. Some things were lacking for this (finishing in rooms and bathrooms, state of the property and extra free amenities, breakfast seating and service, etc.). The on-site regular restaurant was very over-priced considering we are in Italy. Portion sizes were also dismal. I live in Italy and the food seemed like something made for Northern European standards and not Italian standards. I would suggest cycling to the nearby town and you can eat equally well for half the price and double the portion. Our room AC had a very strange smell as well which was unpleasant at night. There were no hooks to hang towels in the bathroom so the room felt like it was always a mess. The breakfast was a not organized. Staff were very kind but seemed like untrained students there for a summer job. The drip coffee during breakfast was horrific. If you want an Americano I would suggest asking for an espresso and hot water and you mix them yourself.

We liked everything about this property! Your experience starts from the moment you drive through their gates. There was someone waiting to greet us: everything is new , clean and so welcoming. Highly recommend this hotel. The service is definitely 5 stars. The room was very nice and so quiet. Breakfast was amazing and the service at the restaurants in general was great. The private beach was also a great area to enjoy the sea. We didn’t want to leave.

The location is a little bit far from everything. The only negative is that you will need a car to get around and explore beautiful Tuscany. The towns nearby don’t really offer much.
